There is a table by the takeout counter where you can get packets of hot sauce, parmesan, red pepper flakes, and other condiments. I like the soups offered (New England Clam Chowder, Tomato Bisque, and Minestrone). There aren't many pasta options to choose from. I've gotten the Blackened Chicken Pasta a few times. read more

I have been to many Crispelli's locations but this is definitely the closest and the service and food quality are always consistent! My only critique was about the wine glasses. We both ordered a glass of red wine to complement the dine-in experience but the glasses, which were plastic, seemed small to hold a 6-8oz pour and the really short stem made them awkward to hold as well. I think they need to be upgraded for me to spend $10 on a glass of wine again. I love this place for lunch and dinner. I usually order a salad with salmon on the side. They prepare the salmon perfectly. It comes with a nice slice of their sourdough bread. I always order a loaf to take home with me. The regular and their lemon rosemary sourdough breads are both fantastic! I also love their wild mushroom pizza. Last time I ordered a cup of New England clam chowder and a grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough. The chowder had lots of clams in it and I believe the sandwich was made with three types of cheese. I would order that again for lunch this winter. They have a nice selection of wine and beer too! Celebrated my birthday tonight at Crispelli's on Mack. We had a party of 6 and despite the fact that the location is smaller than the one we're used to, everyone was more than accommodating. The place was clean, well organized and the workers were AMAZING! We really appreciated the extra cannolis and cookies too! The Crispelli's salad was more than enough for 6 of us. Can't wait to eat some for lunch tomrorow. Veggies are fresh and the red wine dressing was great as well. We all split various pizza options and shared some chessy bread as well. The cheesy bread is a real standout. The blended cheese and oregano seasoning really makes it superior than just your regular cheese bread. I also really loved the white pie. The garlic, cheese and artichoke is the best combo! My family of 6 was well fed tonight. Prices are great as well! Can't wait to stop in again soon. The young staff was so attentive, kind and extremely welcoming. Willing to help and answer all questions we had. Drinks are self serve at the fountain. This location was cozier in decor than the location I tried in Farmington, but it's all good. although we sat in a booth I thought would actually be warmer, the chill from the window cancelled it out. (It was mid 20 degrees outside) but our server was warm and friendly, keeping us informed on the status of the decaf coffee she freshly brewed for us. We started with salads that had plentiful toppings and tasted delicious. My friend had blacked chicken pasta which looked amazing, so much that I had to dip a piece of bread in it for prosperity! lol! I has spaghetti and meatballs (3) which were good sized and tasting. The pasta sauce was tomato-y and good but I usually like to taste more oregano/ basil. Their garlic bread/ epi was helpful in loading the fork and adding flavor as well. Our pasta was delivered to table in timely manner, hot and steamy. Prices were appropriate $-$$ for the portions and quality of the food we enjoyed. There's a parking lot to the side of the building and Crispelli's is 2nd door down. Easily accessible for those with mobility concerns, level entrance, roomy seating area and facilities. Staff were busy as many carry out orders for their wonderful pizza, I believe I saw 7-8 inside the brick oven the whole duration of our meal. After seeing Crispelli's open we finally decided to check it out after having a pizza craving. We walked in and were greeted and seated quickly. We checked out the menus and then went up to the area to order our food and let them know what table we're at. I got the gluten free margarita pizza and gluten free chicken club sandwich with pesto mayo and instead of chips a $1.00 up charge for a Crispelli's side salad. My sandwich came out first and the pizza came out second. The food came out very fast. It was very fresh and delicious. I recommend if dining in to grab your plates and silverware after placing your order so you don't have to get up again. The restaurant is very bright and clean with some cool decorations like rollers that separate the dining area from the area you order and they cook. They just opened last Tuesday & our office is so excited that it's so close!! We ordered BOSCO sticks and The White Pie that had garlic, olive oil, perm Reggiano , mozzarella & artichokes! We thoroughly enjoyed everything and cannot wait to go back and try some of the sandwiches! It looks like they have meatballs and steak tips on the menu too! Pizza and bread at Crispellis are amazing. We generally get a round pizza which is our preference, but have heard the deep dish is just as good. The meatballs are also very good and generally pretty tender. Their cannoli is very good too! Been to 4 locations and they seem to be very consistent. Crispell's in Grosse Pointe Woods is a great addition to the area. We have gone multiple times, so a review is now in order. This is February 2025. Their service setup has completely changed since they opened and has now reverted to a more traditional server-at-your-table style, rather than the original California-style setup. This is a better arrangement, because one doesn't have to guess how things work. Pizzas are always very good, quickly baked in the big fired oven up front. There's a nice variety off the menu, and now you can build-your-own too. The blackened chicken pasta is excellent, guilt-inducing, actually. It's really good; I have had it twice. The chicken pieces are tender but not really blackened. The portion is big enough for two dinners: I took half of mine home for another day. The newly added smash burger is a huge half-pound double burger that my spouse had this week. It looked so good that I was wishing I had ordered it too, despite the goodness of my chicken pasta. Maybe next time. Their rolls are very fresh, salted on the tops, and I could make a meal out of them alone. You can buy a bag of them from the bakery counter, along with artisan loaves, cookies, brownies, cannoli, etc. The owners have a past relationship with Bosco Sticks, and so they are at the top pf the appetizer menu. They are not my thing, but for those who loved them in your school lunchrooms, you have a chance to be nostalgic. All the servers we have had have been perfect. We have not experienced any slowness or delays, no issues at all. Parking is out front at meters, but a much better choice is the free parking lot a few steps away on the other side of the next-door Bucharest Grill. read more

I was really excited to try this place, but nobody in my party liked what they got. I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo and because of my allergies they were happy to remove the spices from the chicken, but when I received the dish I had to send it back because there were halved cherry tomatoes mixed into the dish. The menu doesn't mention any tomatoes in the Alfredo, and I have a tomato intolerance that would make me very uncomfortable if I consume them. I kept getting bites of what seemed like burnt chicken stuck in my teeth, until I further investigated and found a .75 inch piece of wood skewer lodged between my teeth. The chicken bacon sandwich was sub par, my friend who ordered it said it was not good and the bread was burnt. The antipasto salad was ok, but the amount of oregano overpowered the salad and there was more meat than lettuce. The sausage and onion pizza was pretty good according to my family. It was a little greasy, but it had a good crust. The spaghetti and meatballs were somehow spicy and covered in green onions, which my 5 year old niece was not happy about. I get it's a garnish but it's another addition to the menu not listed. Something to consider for both people with allium allergies and picky eaters. Yum, yum. Yumyumyum! We first discovered the original RO Crispelli's very shortly after they opened and were instantly fans. Slightly charred thin crust served in a variety of ways. When we lived in West Bloomfield, they opened one on Orchard Lake Road - thank you! The they opened one in Royal Oak. And now that we live in Grosse Pointe, they recently added a store in the Woods. (Can we take partial credit?) Even tho we went during their soft opening, everything & everyone were spot on! We ordered our "regular," - a small red sauce, pepperoni & a rich, gooey cheese blend. However, the couple at the next table had a white roasted garlic & artichoke pie that they raved about so we added a small one of those. Holy cow!! We were both converted! Wow! This place is awesome. I know they have a couple locations but this was my first time trying it as it opened not too far from my house. Super friendly staff. I got the soup and salad combo the tomato basil soup was delicious and it came with a salt roll AND a sliced piece of crispy bread. I suppose I didn't need to buy a whole baguette but that was necessary as well since it was baked fresh and so delicious as well. I also got the homemade bosco sticks another 10/10 with marinara.
