Pizza was hot and fresh, lots of traditional toppings as well as some fun sauces you can add on (pro tip, the wings sauces are fair game). I'm so happy to have found this place in my neighborhood! I recently moved to EEV and was looking for a good local (not a big chain) pizza place, and gave Flamz a try. I love it. The pizzas are made in a brick oven, so they're ready in a few minutes. The thin, crispy crust is perfect, and the toppings are fresh and there are many to choose from. The inside is nice, with lots of seating if you choose to dine in. Parking is on the street in front, easy in/out. Prices are reasonable, one specialty pizza is about $12. What an unexpected jewel here! Flamz is right outside of my neighborhood and they have some damn good pizza! Right on East Warren near outer drive, they have super fresh ingredients and build your own pizzas that are just fantastic. The service is fantastic and there isn't much more to ask for. Pretty good and faaaaaaast. So fast. Thin crust pizza isn't my personal preference but these guys are really good, great choice for a last minute lunch or early dinner. My only critique is that I wish they were open a little later - they close a lot earlier than Papa's and other nearby pizza places, which is a bummer because usually if I'm ordering a pizza it's later at night. Got a caesar salad and the Detroiter Pizza tonight. It was the first time I've ordered from Flamz and I placed my order online. Got there ten minutes later and everything was ready. you gotta go in to order and they don't seem to pick up the phone, so this isn't a regular type of pizza place. They have a subway-style setup where you can order one thing at a time for toppings or choose from their signature pies or salads. The workers were professional and quick, despite not being able to really hear what we were saying due to the music, masks and plexiglass, we got it all figured out. They didn't have a built in tip system on their credit card system so bring cash if you want to tip them. for 9 dollars for a big pizza, you're more than getting your money worth. the pizza takes about two minutes in their pizza oven and it comes out with a really nice crispy crust. We could have only gotten one and had enough to eat but we had to try two. I think that not all of the ingredients are top notch, but everything looked fresh and honestly tasted great. I ordered a pizza for lunch today and apparently I made the grave mistake of not answering my phone while at work to differentiate between selecting between wanting mushrooms and jalapeños in my pizza ( these items are indicated as one selection choice instead of separate choices on the menu???). When I went to pick up the pizza, the staff person was rude because I didn't answer my cell phone to indicate my choice. The pizza was average at best. In addition, on the previous day, a co-worker and I attempted to order online to no avail and when we attempted to call twice to report the error, no one answered. This is a business??? I never patronize this business again because there are too many good choices in this area. read more

Just picked up a fantastic veggie pizza from this spot. The ordering process is easy and quick - you customize and they cook it in under 10 minutes while you wait. They don't skimp on the unlimited toppings either. Upon request, the server added dried oregano before putting the pizza into the oven and after it came out he drizzled it with olive oil and red pepper flakes. Nice touches and so tasty! The 11-inch pizza can easily feed two people. Highly recommend! This is a nice addition to the food scene in this area. read more

Tried to go here on a Monday at 7:30pm and they were locked up and cleaning. The door says they closed at 10 so not sure why this happened. Other people tried to get in too It looks nice and in a decent area. Will try again cause it's super close to home. read more

Tasty pizza. You can build your own pizza with unlimited toppings (charge for double toppings) which is always a nice option, and is pretty quick. They do offer 5 signature pizzas, but might as well make your own. The pizza masters curated their creations by making sure each bite had as many toppings as possible. 10/10 would visit again! The pizza was delicious. That dough is superb and really separates this place from other pizzerias. However I took 2 stars off because of the old man that works there. I recently posted this on Facebook using my coworkers account (Joe provot) because I don't have a social media account. It appears to be deleted. So, now I'm coming here to complain about him. I was in your store about a week ago and was really displeased by the slow old man in there. He takes entirely TOO LONG to put a pizza together. The young lady that's there does it good but the guy that works at night is the fastest. That stinky old man does NOT need to be working there as he clearly can't handle an easy job like this. the other guy (night shift curly hair) can build a whole pizza in the same time it takes him to just put the pepperoni on. He lays each piece of pepperoni like he's putting a puzzle together. Dude... He's also obviously pretty dumb from what I've observed. Every time I'm there he's always doing something backwards or slow. Really really slow. The guy who's always cooking (I'm assuming the manager since he's the only one that seems to know what he's doing) is always looking at him and shaking his head whenever he sees him doing something dumb. I only see these two work the day shift together. He's ALWAYS asking the cook (again who I'm assuming is the manager because he's always telling the old man what to do or how to do it) a bunch of stupid questions with obvious answers. Answers that I could figure out and I don't even work there! And every single time the cook has this look on his face like...:-\? Again, I'm only assuming he's the manager because the stinky old man is always asking the cook (the one with the big beard not the other younger guy that burned my pizza one time) a bunch of stupid questions. He's so dumb he can't even put 2 pizzas together at the same time. If I order 2 pizzas with similar toppings he could do them both at the same time. Instead he builds one at a time instead of doing them at the same time like the other employees do. That's just plain retarded and nobody has time for him being that slow. And he was using the paper menu to get the toppings MONTHS after he started working there. Now, this is all stuff I've been noticing since he started working there. But what made me finally decide to a review was that the man smells like he slept in a garbage dumpster. The last time I was there he had on a dusty polyester cartoon shirt looking like a damn fool and smelling like a goddamn crack head. I got a whiff of him when I was sitting at the high top table next to the line waiting on my order. As he walked past me and he whiffed my way. I almost wanted to ask for a refund it was so disgusting. I know from now on when I see him working I won't be coming in....... that's just how bad he smelled!!!!!! read more

Wow!!! I'm so glad to have this place on the Eastside of town. We drove about 10 mins to get there. One of the best brick oven pizzas we've had so it was worth it. Hubby had the Detroiter and they let him add ham. Deeelishhh!!! I created my own. Unfortunately they were out of pesto so I got the white garlic sauce. So good! Added light mozzarella, chicken, red onion, spinach and feta. He put seasoning on both before it went into the oven. Oh boy let me tell you...we smashed it. I can't stop creating my own salad! I ate here my first time before I went on a week long business trip and couldn't stop thinking about coming back upon my return. And I did. I am on a very particular diet right now, so being able to customize my salad is great, and the price is even better! My husband loves their pizzas; I thought the sauce seemed a little sweet for my liking but he had also added a ton of hot pepper flakes so when I tried a slice it was difficult to tell how I felt bc my mouth was on fire. Overall the pizza was ok, one salad consist of lettuce and the other of a only spinach mix,weird. It was after meal from the Detroit help kitchen which really helped my family but I felt absolutely horrible picking it up the attitude and lack of direction and help understanding how the program worked , really made me feel horrible and humiliating. It doesn't get any better! Unlimited toppings! You can pick them out in a subway-style type line which my 3 year old loved (she chose mushrooms, salami, and black olives). I was a little nervous that they only had spicy marinara but it wasn't too hot for my little one. We also got one of the signature pizzas with shrimp. Loved it! We had the seafood pizza and the Detroiter and both were excellent!! They are set up kinda like a Subway, but for pizza instead of subs. You can build your own pizza by choosing from their fresh ingredients, watch them put your pizza together and then it seriously only takes about 6-7 mins for the pizza to cook in their huge pizza oven. I read about these guys in The Hour so I thought I'd give it a shot. There's a lot of pizza places in the Pointes area and this is by far the best. The woman helping me said it was made with love. I'm not sure how they made but it seemed the flavors were much deeper than I have experienced in a while. I had the Detroiter and it was fantastic. Prices are very reasonable able.
