We were in the area for the vinyl event and decided to get a pizza to share at Crispy's. It was moderately busy for midday on a Sunday, but we were able to choose a table. Service was great, very attentive and checking in on us frequently. I may have found my new favorite pizza. The crust is everything, literally crispy and delicious. It is both light and airy and crunchy and chewy, all in the best ways. We ordered the Laura Street pizza but I would have enjoyed anything on that crust. The Laura Street has a fantastic combo of sweet figs and prosciutto along with the option of adding a balsamic glaze. The togo cups for our drinks just topped off a perfect pizza visit.
Crispy's was having a Wu-Tang, whiskey, wings, wine down Wednesday. It was my first time going and seemed like a cool opportunity to go. The place is very spacious with tables and plenty of bar seating. I ordered wings, and a friend ordered bruschetta for the table. The food was really good! I ordered mild buffalo wings and they were seasoned very well and had a slight crunch which was nice. I ordered the mild to get a sense of the spice used because every place seems to be different. Their mild is truly a no spice mild for reference. I'll try the hot ones next time. The bruschetta was also very good and made with fresh produce, sprinkled generously with arugula and a balsamic drizzle. Also ordered by others at the table was pizza, and they spoke very highly of it. Given the food and ambience was great, I could not give it less than 4 stars. However, I must say the service was unfortunately not good. They seemed understaffed and our server kept forgetting things and was not knowledgeable. For example, the wines were BOGO and I asked what kind did they have (there is no drink menu). She said we have "the reds and the whites". I decided based on this answer not to get wine. I was waiting for her to return so I could order a cocktail and because it was taking so long, I decided to order directly from the bar. Unfortunately, there was one bartender and a good amount of guests sitting at the bar. The good news is the bartender was very focused on each guest as he helped them. The bad news is it took a long time to get helped because he was by himself. He was very kind and not at all frustrated with the volume of work he was responsible for. Ultimately it seems they were not staffed for the volume of customers they received for their special event. I do think they need more staff. I also think they should create a drink menu or educate their server on their drink offerings (other than saying they have a full bar and for wine they have the reds and the whites). I do think based on the food, it is worth a visit. I would check them out again and hope the service experience was a one off.
We were planning on stopping by a friend of ours house for a small party this evening, but they were feeling under the weather so we switched things up and went to Crispy's Jax over in Springfield. We've been to Crispy's a handful of times over the past few months and tried a few things on the menu. Nearly every time we've been there we've seen pizzas go by us and thought "dang, we really need to try their pizza some time". So when we decided to go there tonight I figured we'd finally do that. In addition to that, my wife informed me that she was going to have Garlic Knots no matter what. So yes, we ordered Garlic Knots to start. I don't know why, but I was expecting them to be a bit tough. I guess maybe I've just had them at other places and they're usually thick / tough, so that's what I figured these would be. They weren't. They were really soft, in the best way. Not doughy or under cooked, just soft, warm and very good! We debated what pizza to go with and eventually settled on The Klutho, which is more or less their meat lovers pizza. We also did the garlic butter crust at the suggestion of our server. I'll start by saying thank you to our server for that suggestion because that was some good crust. I'm happy to report that we both thought the pizza tasted as good as we both thought it looked every time it went by us before. Let me put it this way: if the pizza in my photo looks great to you, yes, it's that good. Like I said, we've been to Crispy's a few times over the past couple of months and we just like the place a lot. We didn't plan to go there tonight when the day began but I'm glad it worked out that we ended up there. Now we've got about half a pizza to split for work-from-home lunches over the next few days. Great spot in Springfield for drinks, pizza and more. The build your own calzone was massive. I had a salad to accompany my meal and that was also huge, could share it between 2-4 people. Service was good and food came out quickly since it wasn't super busy. The restaurant is easy to find and parking is available on street. Good visit, with no issues. A nice place for a quick bite and good vibes.
2.5 stars. Let's be clear - this is 1-star level food. The pizza is floppy, with a thick gummy cheese layer that dwarfs the crust and overly salty sauce. The slices I got were noticeably uneven and different sizes, and looked like they had been sliced by Stevie Wonder. The Caesar salad is more dressing than salad, with croutons from the bag. I recall coming here years ago and the food being above average, but definitely not the case now. Some points are made back through an affordable lunch special (9.75 for two slices and a drink) and very friendly service. But this was a bummer.
I stopped in to see a few friends who are active Trivia participants. Thursday was 80's Trivia night. The place was buzzing with guest and the music from the game LOUD! I just had a few beers but my friend ordered the Calzone! It is so big! Service was great and we were constantly checked in. I need to go back and taste the menu
We ordered online for pickup. Was ready right when I got there! Our order was the Pearl St Pizza, Joey Calzone, Garlic Knots and Potato Salad. Everything was DELICIOUS! The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great. The price point is slightly higher than we normally pay for pizza, but the quality is unmatched, so it's definitely worth it!
Whata time with Jacksonville Eats at Crispys with an added bonues of 80s trivia night. I had a blast I was alone but the buz at Crispys was infectious. I will be back with the wifey. What a time I had $3 drafts and $1 wings. You cant go wrong. All in all I had a good time. I knew 8 of the king of Pop songs that were number 1 in the 1980s. I had the dry rub lemon pepper wings. Alittle salty for my taste but hot and finger licking good. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you Jacksonville Eats and Crispys for hosting.
The food here is always excellent and comes out quickly! The service has been consistent since the new ownership, though in my opinion it could be better. The interior is always clean and has a great ambiance.

Karaoke night + good vibes = a win. Wings were okay, but the bruschetta bites stole the show. Friendly crowd and that perfect local hangout feel.
The place is under new management and they've added some great new food items (mostly salads, calzones and sandwiches) to the menu. Highly recommend the Ahi Tuna salad and the garlic knots! Great place to go with a family to hang out and play games or a chill date night. Lots of TVs for watching sports.
Upon entering, I immediately got the neighborhood sports bar vibe, similar to Cheers. My sister and I walked around the tables for a bit to see where we'd like to sit and ultimately decided to sit at the bar. Unfortunately, I had to switch out my barstool for another because the bottom was falling apart. Additionally, the counter at the bar was quite sticky. We asked the bartender to clean it, which he did, but afterwards, it was still sticky. When I asked if I could borrow the washcloth, he offered to wipe it down again. We ordered drinks and asked about happy hour specials. Ultimately, we decided on a pizza with fig, prosciutto, and arugula. I also ordered the Jose wings, which were absolutely delicious, while my sister ordered another dish, but I can't recall what it was at this time. In conclusion, I'd likely return again to try a different type of pizza and those Jose wings. However, I believe that the barstools need to be replaced; otherwise, everything was fine.

Hands down the best pizza I've ever had. We came in here as our last stop of the night and we were ecstatic their kitchen is open late. The "autumn pie" was phenomenal. The atmosphere (Oktoberfest) was electric. And the beers and bartenders were wonderful. Highly recommend this FUN beer hall/pizza joint! read more

For the past few years, we have enthusiastically watched Crispy's transform from a boarded up, old store front on Main Street in Springfield to a vibrant restaurant, bar, and local art gallery, which even includes a dry cleaner. We had the fortunate opportunity to attend some soft openings to get a good look at the completed renovations and taste several of the menu items. The building itself is beautiful with a welcoming entrance, two floors filled with abundant seating, a long bar, a giant skylight, and the freshened up, original brick walls now displaying amazing paintings from local artists. Obviously so much work and dedication went into this restoration. Many of the features are made from reclaimed, restored items from the original building such as the gorgeous mahogany wood counters. The beer selection is impressive, with a variety of local choices on tap from our Jacksonville breweries as well as other domestic and non-domestic beers. Good wine is also available but what really will make this bar stand apart is the full liquor bar. If you ever went to happy hour at (now sadly closed) Mark's downtown you probably already know Crispy makes the best cocktails anywhere. His "Crispy sized" mixed drinks at his very own new establishment do not disappoint. Drink with caution and make sure you have a designated driver, an Uber lined up, or if you are lucky enough to be walking distance as we are, just make sure you can find your way home safely. The menu items include pizza, wings, salads,and some tempting, upscale, bar munchies. Some of the selections include assorted marinated olives, hummus, antipasto, and more. These classy bites are the perfect compliment to a good glass of the house wine.The pizzas are named after the streets in Springfield and include quality ingredients like fresh mozzarella cheese, house made sauce and crust and, my favorite, fresh basil. We have tried the "Main Street" which is my recommended choice, so far, which keeps things simple so you can taste the perfectly thin pizza crust and the delicate, fresh, tomato sauce. Also a good choice, the "Hubbard" which adds sausage and pepperoni for a heartier pizza. The wings come with either a dry rubbed chipotle bbq or buffalo and are surprisingly crispy and juicy for being baked. We knew the food would be awesome because Crispy wisely hired Eddy Escriba, an amazing chef who has had his talented hands in some other great local restaurants. We love what Crispy's is doing for the Springfield community by bringing this section of Main Street back to life, hiring and supporting locals, and most of all, serving up some great food and drinks at Crispy's. read more

A few co-workers and I went here for a late lunch this past Tuesday to grab a quick bite. The place is really nice on the inside; very artsy and crafty. The waiters are really nice and patient. On a scale of 1 to 10 overall, I'd have to give it a 6. The quality of the food was okay. We ordered wings and salad; the salad was really good. We asked a waiter for a sample of their pizza for the day. It was okay. They have two lunch specials right now: 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $8 and add a salad for $10. I think they need a bigger variety of items on the menu, but the place is new so I can't complain too much. It's a place to go for a quick bite. The service was pretty nice with a quiet and intimate setting. Thumbs up! read more

Excellent experience! Great cold beer, excellent wings, and a truly delicious fig pizza. I think they could work on slightly better ventilation, but overall the remodel is beautiful and the atmosphere is great! The service is very friendly and efficient. read more

I just love this place. I really like that the space is historical! I have only been for lunch. I visited twice and look forward to going back again in the evening. Great decor featuring canvases by local artists. Give this place a try!! You won't regret it!! Only dislike are the cheap paper plates and plastic forks!! The atmosphere deserves better. Cloth napkins and real tableware would be a great addition!! Maybe later they will improve on those small things?! read more

My boyfriend & I live over an hour away. We originally had plans for the day which were canceled so we decided to drowned our sorrows in food. So I stumbled across this gem & we certainly will be back quite often. The Market Street Pizza was our favorite. We also tried the Hubbard which was amazing as well. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Stopped here a month or so ago and have been dreaming of that white pie since! Was in the area only to find a skate shop but was starving. The outside was inviting and inside very warm. Great selection of beer and menu. Would of gave 5 stars but I ordered the Engine brown ale on tap but was served a very light beer. The fennel sausage and pepper pizza was very good but once you tried the white the flavor was an explosion of salty cheeses yet sweet rosemary it was hard to go back. If I'm ever in Springfield again I will definitely stop for pizza, beer, and try some other items on the menu. Felt I had to post after the fact because my husband was ranting about the pizza to coworkers but the pictures of the pizza didn't look like what we had...we had great crust and the other pictures looked like they were all crust no toppings. Hope you get a perfect pie like we did. read more

These wings are (excuse my language) fucking amazing! I got the chipotle dry rub and I can honestly say I have never tasted a chicken wings like this! The staff is just as awesome. Shout out to my bartender, Marlow! She is a delight! Highly reccomend this place! read more

To say we're excited about Crispy's opening is an understatement. We came during pre-opening and tried the wings (both flavors) and the meat board. The meat board was delicious with great quality meat and ciabatta that was to die for. The wing flavors were so original and addicting. The dry rubbed chipotle were both tangy and sweet with perfect spice. The buffalo weren't your traditional buffalo and were amazing as well. Can't wait to try everything else!!! read more

This place is awesome! The atmosphere is very open and appeasing! We sat upstairs and had it all to ourselves! We ordered the meat and cheese board. Everything was wonderful, even the mustard (spicy) was great! The Brie was my favorite! Also ordered the Silver pizza. Amazing! Very very good pizza! Staff was great! Industrial and eclectic. It's nice to see restaurants emerging in the Springfield area. Wood-fire pizza, charcuterie boards, local brews and a full bar. Great place to come with friends. It's a bit smokey from the pizza ovens. They definitely need a better hood system, but the pizza and charming atmosphere make it worth it. read more
