I love Crispy's. They have a great Gluten Free pizza, everything from the crust and toppings area awesome! Today I called them for an order that I need for a luncheon that day within 40 mins and they just opened and they handled the large order and came through with time to spare. Everything was good and everyone was asking where the pizza came from. The wings are good and the Friday vibe with live music is great. They stay open late which is a plus with a full service bar and wine. Great spot for work meeting on the upstairs. Parking is a problem on Main street but you can park by the bank a block up where there is plenty of parking. You want to visit this spot and enjoy their somewhat unique menu and great service. read more

I actually never ate the food at Crispy's. I made a reservation for my brother in laws 21st birthday, and called multiple times to confirm. When we got to the restaurant the hostess said she had no idea that we made a reservation. We never got a seat. We asked to talk to a manager and was never acknowledged. I was extremely disappointed mostly because it was such a special birthday and we were treated in such an aloof way. I just don't know what to say. read more

So far I'm not impressed despite all the amazing reviews. The pizza we ordered was fairly good although there was way too much rosemary on it and it overpowered everything else. The crust was also interesting...it almost seemed like something you buy premade at the grocery store and put in the over. I'll try another flavor next time I go and hopefully it will be better. Food was just okay. Service wasn't horrible but also seemed all over the place. They tried 3 separate times to give us other people's food which seemed unprofessional to me. The sherry vinaigrette was basically just oil and too much polenta/corn meal on the bottom of pizza. The place seemed under staffed. Also acoustics weren't very good sitting upstairs and listening to the live music. It was way too loud and made enjoying conversation difficult. I travel regularly and I like taste the local fair when I do. On this occasion Crispy's was the choice based on a recommendation for Airbnb host. So I place a to go order at 5. They it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrive at about 5:15. I did not get the food until 5:55... it took an hr while there where very few tables occupied. The manage never spoke to me until he brought the food out. The manager seemingly spoke to the hostess about my order several times in the back but never once came to explain the issue. He apologized finally and said he would give me a 50% off coupon for my trouble. I told him I was from out of town so that wouldn't do me any good. He offered to take my name and number and he would refund half but have to let another staff person do it.....Crickets....never called back. I Left a message the next day but have not heard back. Hey this might be great place but from my experience the service was horrendous!! I also paid in advanced and left a tip. Plus the actual bill doesn't add up. There was a fly in two of my drinks. We had the drinks remade. However, there was no courtesy or apology from the manager, who was aware of it happening, for the nasty experience. That is unusual for a customer to have a fly in two drinks. Also, our server was in pain the whole night. This made the experience uncomfortable. Just was not a good customer experience. read more

So this was my second go around with Crispys but it fell short of my expectations yet again. Friday I celebrated a good friend's birthday and he decided to go to Crispy's. I was late to dinner but ended up wanting to order when I saw the group was still hanging out and drinking. When we finally got the waiter's attention, he said he was a little busy and would come back. When he returned I ordered the chicken club sandwich with the side salad and a Diet Coke. There was a pretty long wait for the sandwich to come out. The waiter even came by the table to ask me how everything turned out and I was like "well I haven't gotten anything yet." When the sandwich finally came it was okay. I ended up taking a lot of the bread off and eating the contents. The bacon was crispy and good though. I guess crispy is what should be expected at Crispy's though. Haha - you get it? Anyway. I thought my friends had already received their checks and that's why the waiter was less attentive to the table but they hadn't. I never got a drink refill and we had to ask two to three times for them to bring our check. I do understand a busy weekend night but I still felt like there could have been a little more care with our table. All in all, food was okay. Service was less than good. Picky eaters rejoice. When I saw the menu I was a little dismayed because I didn't see a lot for vegans or vegetarians. However, they allowed me to do a few subtitutions. It was lunch so they had a special. 2 slices with drink and salad for 10 bucks. I got the Main st and had them to add their olive tepenade. And the Hubbard with mushrooms. I wasn't to thrilled that it came with sausage but, it was delicious. The only thing that would have made it better is if I could have gotten vegan Italian sausage or vegan chorizo instead of the fennel sausage. It's all good. They are newly opened and I'm sure I can talk them into it at some point :) this restaurant is in it's infancy. I spoke with the owner and he was bet nice and approachable. He's looking for a vegan cheese which melts. He also suggested the hummus and salad on my next visit which I'll be sure to have. I did have a salad with a white balsamic. It was amazing. Simple and filling. Another thing I liked was that they used paper plates and nice plastic forks all of which can be recycled!!! Major points for that. Nothing in the restaurant is fried even the wings are oven baked. I liked that concept. I had the hard cider too. It was the first hard cider that wasn't overly sweet. I was a bit buzzed off of one glass so I sat in the cool confines of the restaurant with its night ceilings and soft natural lighting listening to Hotel California as I wrote this review. This is a place to chill. Theres ample seating and more room than you can imagine but looking at it from the street. My waitress was very attentive and I loved the overall vibe. The kitchen is open and the bar expansive. What an awesome neighborhood spot nestled in the heart of Springfield. Parkikng is dicey since it's on Main st. However, I found a spot easily. Because it's centrally located, you can easily walk to it if you live in Springfield. I'll do that the next time since I'm only a couple blocks away. You can also catch the bus there too. We went to Jacksonville (Springfield area) for an event. After arriving late in the evening, we decided to carry in to our Airbnb, the owner recommended Crispy's. It was excellent! The food was delicious and the the service was great. Vivica answered my call in and the large order was exactly right. When we arrived for pick up the food was ready and Vivica went over the order before we left to insure it was perfect. I was sorry we had not eaten in as the atmosphere was very cool and fun - next time we are in town we will dine in. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Happy surprise - popped in here for lunch between our kid's basketball games at a downtown gym. Cool brunch menu but we had beet salad, garlic knots, wings, and an Italian panini and all were AMAZING, as was the service.
