Recently did an after work happy hour here and it was my first time at this location and it might be my favorite one now! Love the Happy Gilmore theme. The name of the drinks was cracking me up. I usually stick with the mocktails at work events so I went with a Somebody Kill me Please and it was quite lovely! A few people had cantaritos and love them. I also taste tested someone's Stop Lookin At Me Swan because it's just enough out of the norm to have a cream cheese wash beverage I couldn't say no. That was probably my favorite drink. I couldn't keep track of all the food we got. I had several slices of who knows what kinds of Pizza but they were all very good and cooked to perfection. Same goes for the wings! And everything came out quite quickly! I know we were a little bit of a large and possibly raucous (politely of course) crowd and the bartenders handled it all fantastically. You can't go wrong here for enjoyable tasty pizza that's made to order on an authentic wood-fired Italian pizza oven. We enjoyed both pizzas we tried (Margherita V Signature and Flying Hawaiian with Italian ham and pineapple). The pizza are thin crust and non-greasy so they're not too filling. If you still have room after this, the Pistachio gelato is also worth a try. Service is fast here and we were surprised how fast they cook the pizzas here. This place isn't the cheapest but it's worth the price and I'll come back here when I'm in town. Maybe next time I'll try a drink in the side car as well. read more

Always the perfect pizza. Always the perfect wings. I don't know what else to say except they are a staple, a go to , and a must try in Jacksonville. The Gate pkwy location has been a fave in the recent months, primarily because of the outdoor space. With large groups and kids in the mix, we're able to fully enjoy our time together and let the kids play without the constant worry of bothering other patrons. My favorite pizza is the Carnivora and the Signature wings are drool worthy. Pizza never feels like it sits in your stomach, their dough is something special! I love the fresh ingredients and the rapidity of service. We're forever fans of V Pizza. Sidecar, as an adjacent entity, has its own vibe. It's a great spot especially if I want to be kid free. Such a fun place to go with the family! Open space outside for the kiddos to run around too. They have the # 1 Mac n cheese in all of Jax! Super flavorful and you can add prosciutto on top. They have delicious marinaded chicken wings, that are cooked in the pizza oven with the perfect amount of char. Pizza and calzones are great too. They also offer a lunch special. I do wish the staff walked around more to check on tables. I love that these restaurants support the charity V for Victory, which helps families dealing with cancer. read more

Was a little disappointed by the pizza, especially for its price. It was smaller, thinner, and drier than I expected. But I did really like the toppings. Been to the one in San Marco side car but never got to try their pizza as we always reach late and miss their pizza time. But I passed by gate way and saw there was a V Pizza + side car and was like what? There was one near me this whole time been driving 20mins down to San Marco just for it when there was one 6 mins closer to where I live ! But anyways yesterday I got to sit down and try it out myself and hmmm I have various mix emotion about the pizza. I couldn't find a meat pizza but we settle for a pepperoni- 8.5/10 just wished it was cook in the stone longer for the crust and the dough was abit doughy The Cesar salad was great no complaints - 10/10 And for first time customer they gave this V shape stuff pepperoni which was 9/10 Their ice cream 100/10 definitely something to give a try if you looking for the best flavors ! My friend organized a meet up with a bunch of pottery friends & I was so impressed with how quickly the food comes out! First, it was still happy hour when we arrived, so drinks were obvious. Food came out fairly quickly- kiddos got meatballs and butter/cheese noodles. Our group had a pizza on cauliflower crust-- it was excellent and eaten very quickly. I had a bowl of the seasonal soup (Tuscan white bean soup). It was pretty good- nice on a chilly day. Like most soup, was fairly salty, but overall good flavor. The side salad was very tasty- fresh ingredients and good size for a side salad. The holiday cocktails were decent- the peppermint espresso martini was a little too peppermint-y for our groups liking but still good. The new V Pizza + Sidecar near the Town Center is so nice and big! Huge parking lot, indoor and outdoor seating, and the bar is especially large. Much bigger than our usual San Marco location. We got the Flyin Hawaiian pizza and the Layla's Special. This was our first time trying the new crust, and we honestly couldn't tell the difference. The Layla's special was soooooo good, except I do wish it was cooked well done like the Hawaiian one. Next time I will ask for it to be super crispy. Tiki drinks at Sidecar were great as always. Service was quick from the moment I walked in. The menu has appetizers, salads, wings, pasta, sandwiches, calzones and pizza. They have about fifteen specialty pizzas as well as a make your own option. I chose to go with a caprese salad and the carnivora pizza. I've been to V-pizza at San Marco and Beach, they don't burnt their chicken like this. These wings I got this time were so burnt, it's tastes like charcoal. The Italian Wedding soup that I ordered for take out was horrible. It was salty, had very little orzo or carrots/celery in it and the broth had an odd taste.
