It's so exciting to have a new restaurant in Springfield neighborhood! Crispy's has only been officially open for a few days so I am sure there will be some adjustment time. That being said there are positives and negatives. Positives: 1) Nice staff who want you to be there 2) Great venue and location. They did a wonderful job with the renovation! 3) Large selection of local and non local craft beers Negatives 1) Only paper plates and plastic silverware in a full service? This seems off and I personally don't agree with the waste. 2) Seemed a bit overpriced. The Sardinian salad at $10 is delicious but small (for the price) and served in a cardboard bowl. 3)Smokey. Seems like maybe the hood vent is too small for the space. There was a haze hovering over the dining room. Crispy's seems to be going for the late night crowd. They have late hours which will be great for the neighborhood. I wish them success! Billy was our waiter tonight and the service and food were exceptional! Billy took out order quickly and correctly, without writing anything down. He proceeded to check on us multiple times and made sure that everything was to our liking. We got Mac and cheese, the main, garlic knots, and the caramel cheesecake. The service was quick, was greeted at door with a smile. Server was ok she wasn't too familiar with drinks however she was very apologetic and pleasant. Time to hit up the new spot in town Crispy's. Oh what a nice cool little place. It i's well organized and the deco was inviting. The pice was so refreshing from the bogged down stuff at the chair restaurants. I love the name and mfor wife and I had the Luara and boy was it tasty. We also had the lemon cake thing, great lemon flavor, " that's all I'll say about that". OK for the staff. We were greater wormly by the door lady. I can not say enough about our server. 2nd visit to Crispy's on my visit to Jacksonville, this Memorial Day week; utter disappointment with the Steak Taco on 5/24/20, 4 Orders( 8 tacos) and "NO STEAK" ...it was the essence of steak, remnants, slitters, minor morsels, tidbits of nothingness, i ask, "WHERE'S THE BEEF". My husband and I sat at the bar. It's open until midnight on Sunday. It was his birthday so he got a free shot of whatever he wanted. The bartender was super nice. We were excited to try this place out but left disappointed. There was a live band when we were there, which some of the crowd seemed to enjoy. I'm a young guy and it was entirely too loud. We literally had to shout at each other to have a conversation and the server couldn't hear us either. The food was fine. Fine, not great. We each got a sandwich. The side options were potato salad or a side salad. No fries. No chips. Kind of disappointing side selections. Glad Springfield has a place like this but we probably won't come back. My boyfriend and I ordered the Laura pizza and the dry rub wings to go and were blown away. We decided to give this place a try because we knew how delicious chef Eddy Escriba's food is from burrito gallery. It was so new and fresh and a perfect blend of flavors. Went for lunch with a buddy. Love that this place is trying to bring people into Springfield and the inside of the restaurant was awesome. Just a huge space with lots of interesting features giving it a very authentic feel. A lot of places spend a lot of money to achieve an ambiance that this space has naturally. Now on to the food, it was a little better than ok, definitely not great. The menu seemed very disjointed and it's very hard to classify this restaurant by food type. I ordered the sandwich of the day, which was pretty tasty, but very very small. The side choices were interesting, orzo salad, potato salad, or side salad. None of these sounded great to me, but I tried the orzo after making sure there were no bell peppers. Unfortunately, our server thought that "red" peppers were not the same as "bell" peppers, and yes there were lots of "red" peppers. They replaced it with potato salad, which was very vinegary. I'll try again for dinner some time though because I want to like this place. Last suggestion,for the owner/manager, Please please please invest in an exhaust hood for the kitchen area, it was truly difficult to breath at times. read more

Consistent service and food each time I visit. The best value, and tasting meat and cheese board in town. Today was the beet salad and pizza. The house made lemon vinaigrette dressing was a refreshing complement to this salad. Definitely order it again. Had a half Sliver, half Laura pizza which was excellent. Thin crispy crust, fresh toppings of cheeses and meats and ample portions of toppings on each side. Excellent pizza. Arrived today in time for "happy hour" and enjoyed a Bloody Maria which was bold and spicy, look for the mixologist Jessie, she knows how to pour! Nice bar with several selections of beer on tap. i ordered the steak tacos on the appetizer menu. they were not the greatest tacos. they were dry and the meat was tough and overdone for my taste, not that they asked me in terms of temperature in the steak. it came with a side of chips. clearly it was not the greatest meal, but what saved this review from getting less stars was the potato salad which was given to me by my associate with me at the time. it was very creamy and the potato inside werent firm nor grainy, but smooth and soft. great potato sald, no so great beef. read more

SO happy to have this addition to Springfield. The pizza's are all amazing and named after streets in Springfield. Everything I've had there has been excellent. They are also starting to do themed nights (trivia, sunday football) , fundraisers, etc. The owner is always there behind the bar. Only downsides are that it can get a bit smokey from the pizza ovens (they are working on fixing this). They have now added real dishwater and utensils!!!! Fantastic daily specials.
