Since this place was so good the first time, decided to go back again. I wanted to try the eggplant parmigiana but they were out so I once again got the chicken. And once again, DELICIOUS!! The chicken was cooked perfectly but the spaghetti was a bit plain. BUT, I did forget to ask for Parmesan cheese for it so I feel like that's my fault since I love cheese on my pasta. As I was waiting for my food to cook, I was looking at the pizza in the window and made a comment that it looks good (I had been talking to the guy and having a nice conversation). He then tells me I can have a slice no charge and I was like, wow! Thank you! Such a nice guy! The pizza was delicious but I must say my heart is with that chicken parm. Haha! This is good, solid, no-nonsense New York Style Pizza. The Crust and Sauce were excellent and the cheese abundant. We had the Italian Sausage and it was slathered with sliced Italian Sausage on top. I take away a point because of the fountain drinks being Pepsi products (ugh) and the Sweet Tea was not fresh brewed but from concentrate. Tasted real bad. This is amazing hand tossed pizza! The crust is amazingly thin and STILL hot and crusty. We ordered a supreme 14 inch with generous helpings of fresh vegetables. The service was very gracious. Walked over for lunch after the great Delta airlines cancellation mess up! This was an awesome place! Kinda looks like a mom and pop joint. Not a lot of seating, but enough for groups. The kids had slices of cheese and the adults got a deluxe style sausage, green pepper and pepperoni. The three year-old ate two big slices of cheese! The crust is spot on and the ingredients tasted fresh. Prices are very reasonable and the help is very friendly. After a long day of traveling we were looking for something close to our hotel. We saw Vicino's was nearby and had a very good rating so we decided to give it a try. If you're looking for some fancy place, keep looking. It's the little hole in the wall, hidden off the main road type restaurant where most people probably wouldn't go just by looking at the outside and even once they get inside. However, we were hungry and tired and didn't want to go anywhere else so we decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and very freshly made. We split two meals of chicken Parmesan and manicotti and then also split a Greek salad. There was more than enough food for the two of us and as good as it was, we both left some on our plates as it was too large of a serving. I called at 8:27PM. That man did not need to make 3 large pizzas for me but they did. They were super fresh hot and delicious. That was very cool. The vibe was " it's time to go home," but also welcoming and accommodating. I was there for a couple days for my little sister's last min wedding and I needed to get food for 6 children and 5 adult. Sorry, we started chomping on the pizza before we could take a picture of the fabulous looking pizza. The owner was very kind and hospitable. He asked us if we wanted to eat in or take out. We were in no rush, so we had decided to dine there. It is not a fancy place, but it is clean, very close to RDU Airport, and so worth the trip to eat there...a quaint hidden gem! It was amazing with a nice thin NY style crust and great Italian sausage. (Pizza by the slice was also available.) The restaurant is casual with no frills, but the staff was welcoming and very attentive and the food was ready quickly! We couldn't resist coming back 2 days later and decided to try other menu items. I had the daily special grilled chicken salad and my husband had the cheesesteak grinder. Both were delicious! The wings were indeed jumbo as advertised but the mild sauce didn't have the kick I was expecting. Even so the wings were big and juicy. The pasta was made fresh and sauce to pasta ratio was perfect. I believe it was the owner who helped me when I came to pick up the order. He was very quick, made sure I had everything, and helped me with bringing my order out to the car.
