I called them after googling "Animal Control" and instead of looking a the very small text below the number I assumed incorrectly (my bad) that the number that came up was for them and so I dialed.... We called this gentleman with concerns about some noises we had coming from our bay window. This man came to my house went into my attic and found nothing.. then he walked around my home and found an area by the bay window which he knew we had critters at, put a bit of foaming caulking in a few holes then found another hole and caulked there as well. We recently heard some scratching behind a bedroom wall and suspected we had squirrels. I called several companies for estimates and to get on their schedule. Vinny from Critter Catchers said that he would be over the very day I called. He went into our attic and took pictures. He was able to show us a "builder's gap" where the squirrels were getting in and told us they had moved some insulation to make a cozy nest. We received a quote for trapping and sealing the entry and thought it was fair. When we would hear a squirrel in the trap we would call Vinny and he would return to our home in 24-48 hours to remove and relocate the trapped squirrel. This happened two times and then we waited for any additional activity and there was none. Vinny just came today and removed the last empty trap and sealed the gap. We were very happy with his reliability and effectiveness in humanely ending our squirrel problem. read more

Ok...so first let me say thank you to these guys, they got rid of the pesky little squierells that were running ramped in my attic. I called, stated my problem and a technician was at my door within an hour. He told me the price to set traps over the phone, which was a whopping $375 but at that point, my nerves were shot and I needed relief that day. The technician located the entry points, set traps, and later that evening we sat stuck in one spot as we he heard what sounded like a squierell raising hell. Yup, we caught one the first night. Note: the animal was not harmed or in pain he was just trying to get out of that damn cage. Ok, back to the story. A few days later, the technician paid us a visit to reset the traps and remove the animal. During the initial visit, he gave me a quote on the cost to repair the holes. My handyman made these repairs for me. They also gave me a price to seal the entire house....unfortunately my pocketbook said no, not now! No more Bats! I had been getting bats in the crawl space and air conditioning ducts of my home for several years. After trying to figure out how to deal with it on my own, I called up Critter Catchers and was put in contact with Greg. He arrived the same day to help catch the bat and determine the point of entry. While he didn't find the bat the same day, but he helped set up traps and seal the point of entry to stop any more bats from entering my home. He was extremely punctual and professional and made me feel confident that he issue would be resolved. Within 3 days of setting the traps, the last bat was caught and thanks to Greg's repairs I don't have to worry about dealing with them ever again! Additionally, while pest removal services may seem pricey, their prices are comparable to plumbing services, but they have to handle potentially infectious animals. I'm very happy with the service I received from Greg and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Atlanta Metro Area. read more

These guys were great. We had a dead rat in the attic above our bedroom creating a fowl smell for days. I called these guys and they sent someone out within a couple of hours. He found the carcass and the smell went away. $325 is a bit steep in my opinion, but they got the job done and were professional. Now the real issue is closing up all of the spaces where the rats get in. Workers I hired found 8 places in our roof due to "lazy" construction practices. House is only 5 years old. read more

I heard scratching and squealing upstairs in my home late one afternoon and immediately sought out help from Google! It was pure luck that I ended up calling Critter Catchers and Greg Adcock answered the phone, telling me that it was probably grey squirrels and he would be able to come by the next day! He looked outside first and immediately found the large hole a squirrel had chewed in my soffit and we then ventured to the attic to find the source of the noise. Trapped in the wall between 2 studs were THREE baby squirrels! Greg even took a photo of them so I could see them! Since they were so young they did not know how to climb the wall, so he set a trap with a long rope attached and lowered it into the wall hoping they could climb the rope to escape. He also set a trap in the hole leading to the outside and we caught the mother the very next day. He came back for a third time 2 days later to retrieve the babies by cutting the drywall -- I was impressed with the care and precision he took to make clean cuts and immediately replaced the drywall after deodorizing the space! Unfortunately two of them didn't make it but the third one was rescued and taken to a wildlife rehabilitation specialist that the company uses. As much as I didn't want them in my attic, I certainly didn't want them to die! Greg then patch up the hole in the outside soffit and told me that his work was guaranteed -- so all we have to do is call if we have an issue!! Greg has superior knowledge of all pests and was even able to tell and show me the difference in bird and lizard droppings! He took the time to explain the process thoroughly and showed true care and compassion for the animals. Greg came to my home and helped me to get rid of a very annoying little woodland creature that has taken up residence in my car. Yes, that happens A LOT more than you realize because the cabin airfilter, and other openings under the hood, are easily accessible to rodents. We tried EVERYTHING and could not get the rat out. Besides being gross, having a rat/mouse in a car can cause THOUSANDS of dollars in damage that will not be covered by insurance. Another guy was at the dealership with the SAME THING and he had serious damage to his car. After weeks of waking up to rat droppings greeting me when I opened the car door, and several hundred dollars spent on unsuccessful attempts by the dealership and my own pathetic efforts, I was driving (with my dog in the car so that the rat would stay in his lane) to Costco and cursing the rat on the phone to my husband (hands-free officer, I swear) when I saw a Critter Catchers truck drive by. I told my husband that I was DONE with this and I would call them in the morning. I called, left a message, and then Greg and I connected. Once he came out, there was a real PLAN and solid action taken. I went to bed and waited for what the morning would hold. I woke up, walked out to my car, and when I saw what was on the drivers floorboard, I did not care who saw me- I danced and clapped and sang for joy! The money I paid to Critter Catchers was worth every penny. Now, the rat is dead. Yes, I said DEAD because I don't believe in "humane treatment" of rats when they invade my space. All is fair in love and war- this was war. Just to be on the safe side, Greg suggested we wait one more day to be sure "fluffy" didn't have family. Luckily, no one showed up looking for a missing brother. Greg even told me how to get the piss and poo smell out of my car and provided me with advice on how to prevent this in the future. As for Greg himself, the guy is awesome. Works hard and is honest. People, you are calling because some non-human creature has invaded your living quarters; trying to get rid of said non-human creature is not going to be easy, quick or painless. Ask yourself if you would rather keep the rat, snake, racoon, bird, bat, etc OR get rid of it and then deal with how to put everything back to rights? Remember, trying to find the suckers can involve a lot of mess, time and effort, therefore the aftermath is probably going to involve some mess, time and effort as well. read more

Absolutely superb! Called on a Sunday morning not really expecting a call back that day. W had a critter (probably a squirrel) in our fireplace chimney making an awful racket. Our 2 cats were going crazy. Mike, the owner, returned my call within 1.5 hours and was at my house within another 1.5 hours. When he called he explained what he thought the problem was and the 2 possible solutions. When he arrived was totally prepared and knowledgeable about our problem and ready to correct the issue. Mike was courteous and respectful, worked with us to eliminate the problem and made several suggestions as to how to eliminate future problems. I hate to leave a negative review because Critter Catchers DID remove the squirrel from my attic, but overall I had a negative experience with them: 1. They caused me to miss work: Critter Catchers was the only company to answer their phone on a Sunday morning, and when they said someone would come out the next morning to trap the squirrel in my attic I decided to use them. I called my office and told them I'd be in as soon as Critter Catchers set the trap. They finally showed up at 3:30PM. If I had known they would be there in the afternoon instead of the morning, I could have worked most of that day, but instead I missed an entire day of work waiting for them. 2. Squirrel removal took 5 weeks! Greg, the trapper was very nice. He placed a trap to catch the squirrel, but unfortunately did not thoroughly inspect my home and placed the trap where he THOUGHT the squirrel was gaining access to my attic, not where it was ACTUALLY gaining access. When he moved the traps to the correct spot, the squirrel was caught the next day. I had to deal with a squirrel living in my attic for 5 additional weeks because of their mistake. I understand people make mistakes, but there was never any attempt to compensate me for their mistake; in fact as soon as the squirrel was caught they quoted me a ridiculously high price to repair the hole in my attic (more about that later), as if the previous 5 weeks hadn't happened and they had performed their job flawlessly. Disappointing. 3. Questionable Pricing The cost Mike (the owner of the company) quoted for a squirrel removed was $425. Greg wrote an invoice for $485. When I told him I was quoted $425 he changed the invoice. AFTER he set the traps and had my check he said, "It's going to be about $150-$200 to repair the hole." I was shocked, as that was the first I was hearing about a cost to repair the hole. When I called and told Mike I needed a squirrel removed from my attic, he said it would cost $425. He never mentioned additional costs. Their website says it's critical to have access points to your home sealed after the squirrel is removed...wouldn't you think their price included that critical part of the process?? After the squirrel was caught Greg said, "How much did I tell you the hole repair was?" When someone asks me this question I've learned to say "You didn't." -- if they think you don't remember their first quote, their second price is ALWAYS higher . Try it, you'll be surprised how often it happens. Greg now said the hole repair would be $425. Now I was REALLY questioning their prices. 4. Outrageous Prices Critter Catchers' prices are VERY high. To remove a squirrel and seal one hole their price was $850. When they quoted $425 to repair the hole, I did what I should have done before and called several companies for quotes. ALL had lower rates. I paid another company $150 to repair the hole. When I asked this company, they said they could have done a removal AND hole repair for $350. That's 60% less than Critter Catchers' price. The hole in my home was 40 feet off the ground, required a 40 foot ladder and two men to complete the job, so it was more expensive than a one story home repair, but the second company repaired the hole under those conditions for $150, not Critter Catchers' $425. 5. Customer Service doesn't seem to be a high priority I tried to give them a chance to make things right. I called and spoke with Mike today and told him about my experience, from the extended amount of time that the squirrel continued to live in my attic to their high prices. I asked if maybe there was a miscommunication and that their $425 was to include the hole repair (their prices would have still been more than the other company charged by $75, which would be a reasonable price difference) and he assured me that there was not. He repeatedly asked for the name of the company I used for the repair, saying they must not be licensed and insured if they were able to do the work at prices lower than his. I didn't tell him the name of the other company because I thought he would just say they were a horrible company with a bad reputation and that's why they're able to charge reasonable prices. I don't mind sharing that information with him now or with you in this review. I used 'Atlanta Squirrel and Rat Removal'. They are insured and licensed. Very professional, effective and reasonably priced. If their name is removed from this review, check out my other reviews to see who they are. I plan to write them a 5 star review as soon as I submit this one. If you're considering using Critter Catchers, do yourself a favor and call several other companies to compare prices first, and if you do use them, make sure their prices don't change on you like they did for me. read more

The service was great. He came out the same day and took care of the hornets around my tree. He guaranteed the service, which was great. What was not great was charging me $320 for 35 minutes of work, which included standing away from the tree and spraying hornet spray. After they died down, he used a ladder to climb the tree to put powder into the spike holes to kill the larvae the hornets were feeding on. I questioned the price. He said could have been stung and he had to climb a ladder. The guy working on my upstairs porch can be stung by carpenter bees in the wood and he's on the ladder a lot, but is only charging $350. I would leave a 2 1/2 review if that was an option. read more

Exceptional customer service and a job well done. We noticed droppings outside of our garage door and found out we had bats (over 20!) in our attic grate. Mike pointed out the bats to me from inside the house and explained to me how they were getting in and why they chose that location. He humanely cleared out the bats and then put up a screen to prevent them from making my attic their forever home. The worst and REALLY regret choosing them after paying almost $3k for a elimination/roof service. After doing the bill in total with a zero balance this "person" then told me that there would be a 2 month bait station left behind for just the 2 months and no service or plan was signed for at all on this rental property. Well guys get this, he then tried to bill $400 more saying that during the DEAD of WINTER he had people checking a bait station when every rodent around was hibernating??? Paid half and will NOT ever use this company again and made sure to instruct five other property management companies and the people at Georgia Real Estate Investors NOT to do business with this individual after my experience. Truly regret and recommend now two other vendors who have gotten my business and will keep them on 35+ rental properties. Prices and services are steep in comparison with FOUR other vendors and I can now recommend TWO others to anyone else who wants to know. As for this company, COMPARE and check around and do NOT let them up-sell or add on to services after my experiences and the fact that they send to a rental address FIVE TIMES after being told repeatedly to send to a business address is inexcusable to me. What a waste of money!! Per my request Mike from Critter Catcher came to our house to remove a squirrel nest from our front gutter. I also asked him to address the entry point where the squirrels were getting in. He spent approximately 15 minutes and charged us $325. I was not present during the work but my wife was. I checked the work afterwards when I got back home from work with my ladder and observed much of the nest was still there. Also he took a downspout leaf guard I was using to temporarily plug the hole and made no effort to plug the hole with anything else. Then to make matters worse when I called and questioned the work he lied about not working on the section of roof we asked him to address even though my wife observed him working in that area.....ridiculous!!
