What a scam! Due to a water leak i got some water roaches and my exterminator suggested that in addition to their treatment, I set out glue traps. I found a couple of baby snakes caught in my glue traps.I searched for experts who specialize in snake eradication and prevention. I found Critter Control who have a great website that had a section focusing on snakes. That's where it ends. I spoke with Ryan and told him I needed someone who really specialized in snakes, their identification, how they were getting in and modes of prevention. Ryan assured me that the " professional specialist" he would be sending would be able to answer all of my questions. First of all the professional he said was coming was changed to another " specialist " named Parker who couldn't be a day over 20 if that. While being a very nice, polite person, Parker was NO expert. Experts know herpetology, and reptiles. Parker knew nothing about snakes except for the minimal information provided to him by critter control.He COULD NOT IDENTIFY the baby snakes which I had preserved,bagged and sealed and placed in the freezer for proper identification .I put my snakes back in the freezer.Parker disappeared outside for about half an hour.and returned his breath and clothing reeking of onions and food.During time I thought he was working he was eating in his truck! Also He refused to inspect the room where the snakes were found, But only the outside of my home and my attic. He told me I had mice and the snakes were feeding on them. I do a lot of research and knew that the size of the tiny snakes I caught couldn't possibly open their mouths wide enough to swallow a store bought pinky mouse or nightcrawler let alone a regular sized mouse and I told him so. The response was Oh Okay well then the snakes were feeding on my roaches. What? Other then the green snake not found in southern calif where I live, all other snakes DO NOT EAT ROACHES !! This info is readily available from many universities, zoos, google searches herpetology sources and articles. A professional would have known that! In addition to the $150.00 fee just to come out , Parker used misleading terminology to tell me about the proposed course of action. First of all he was going to place rodent " DEVICES" around the outside of my home. DEVICES ? I asked him if the devices he was referring to were enclosed rodent blocks. YES. I asked him why he called these blocks found anywhere as DEVICES? Parker said he was told to do so. Then he said he would seal up some outdoor cracks and holes where snakes might enter he saying he uses a special foam. The foam he referred to can be purchased anywhere and also on the internet. The cost for this work was over $4,300 and pressuring me to sign the contract to start work immediately without time to think about it. Before agreeing to sign I asked him to take picture of my snakes to send to Ryan in hopes that he might identify them. I should know what they are charging thousands of dollars to eradicate. Suppose these were rattle snakes? Parker replied by telling me he would have to retrieve my snakes from his truck! WHAT? WITHOUT MY KNOWING AND WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, RYAN WENT INTO MY FREEZER AND TOOK MY SAMPLES AND PUT THEM IN HIS TRUCK!!! This is called trespass, and theft. It was only by luck that I found this out before he left the premises. After this,I declined to spend thousands of dollars which I later learned is what they appear to charge everyone. I kick myself for not doing more research in this company BEFORE agreeing to have them come out. They charged me $150 and NEVER fulfilled their end if the agreement. My agreement was to have a SPECIALIST come for $150. and not some amateur who not only lied to me but also stole from me. If you look on Yelp before calling Critter Control as I should have done, you will see that this is their MO. They essentially tell everyone the same thing and charge them approximately $4000 plus and those that actually paid the amount were EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the results. I was defrauded out of $150. and am grateful I didn't get taken for more. Finally the day after the phony service call, I received an online survey regarding my satisfaction . Of course I gave them the lowest score available. Do you think they cared? Not in the least. I don't even know why they send out a questionnaire regarding one's satisfaction since it makes no difference to them. BUYERS BEWARE! I am also going to contact the BBB as I suggest all others who have been duped by this irreputable company to do the same. If we the consumers don't voice our complaints and make them known, companies like Critter Control will continue to feed off the fear the majority of the population have towards vermin and other critters that do not belong in their homes. read more

The night before I called Critter Control I heard a scratching noise in one of my walls. I had heard this for 3 days in a row but the noise did stop before any work was done by Critter Control. When the representative came out he told me he saw some tunneling in the attic. He proceeded to explain to me what needed to be done about it. I do go up in my attic, however, the area he was referring to I do not walk on because it is just the rafters. Therefore, I took his word for it. He also told me that I had rat droppings but I found out later from another representative from the company that those were gecko droppings. He then proceeded to tell me that I have rats. He explained that a female rat is pregnant for 13 weeks and can have 7-10 babies. She can have several babies in a year. He also told me that he normally does not come out because he is the operations manager but because they get busy this time a year he was helping out. When he quoted me the price of $2,489.73 I started laughing. He replied, "I know I don't like this part." I asked if he worked on commission and he replied, "No." Then he said that for $865.99 he would recommend their sister company to clean my roof. He said that if they spray my roof once it rains it would wash all the rat urine off of the roof. I asked if he really thought I needed this. He said that he would do it because it would not attract anymore rats. I paid the company a total of $3,355.72. When the representatives came out they worked for about 2-2 1/2 hrs. They put clear caulk underneath the wood around my house, enclosed mesh in the weep holes, put netting over the 2 turbine vents, and also said that they sprayed the non toxic in the attic and around my house. They also put a door seal under the garage door. I did ask one of the representatives if he went up on the roof to spray the roof cleaner and he said that he did. However, my security cameras showed him going around the house spraying from the ground up. I guess I will take his word on that. So here is my issue. I paid $3,355.72. I had 5 rat traps up in my attic for about a month and the one way door. The security camera shows no rats coming out of the one way door and no 5 traps ever caught anything. I did email the representative approximately 2 weeks later to inform him of this and his reply was that basically the work they do in the attics essentially turns the rats' environment on its head. The enzyme treatment neutralizes the animal pheromone and the animal deterrent product irritates the critter living underneath the insulation levels. He also stated that it was very likely that they scared whatever was living in the attic after the work was completed. My conclusion is that since I do see squirrels all the time I believe it may have been a squirrel I heard. Do I think I was lied to? I will let the readers be the judge of this review. Let me just say I have mentioned this to many people explaining what occurred and how much I paid. Some told me that they called this company and pretty much were given the same line I was given or if they never used the company they felt I was scammed. I will say that the representative who came to my house seemed very nice, answered SEVERAL questions and SEVERAL emails that I had in a very timely manner. Therefore, I can only hope that this representative really was telling me the truth but I am very skeptical. He walked me through and explained everything required to get the nasty critters out of my attic. The customer service received was terrific. BUYER BEWARE!!!! This company is a total SCAM! Please read reviews and do your homework BEFORE you even think about hiring them. They were paid almost $8,000 to rid my home of the "rat infestation" they told me I had. I have owned my home for 15 years and have MAYBE caught a total of ten MICE during that time. I had NEVER seen or had ANY damage by rats UNTIL Critter Control came on 12/28/17. The crew that came for the initial treatment worked several hours and appeared to do a good job. I was told my home was rid of most the vermin and any that they didn't get would be caught by the traps they left. They said all holes were plugged so no new vermin could enter. 2 days after the initial visit, my stereo wiring had been eaten and a hole that had supposedly been plugged, had been made much bigger. CC sent a couple of guys out to "fix the hole properly". They screwed a square piece of tin on it and painted it a different color than my wall. I asked them about fixing the wiring and was told they didn't do that, I'd need to call an electrician. I let it go and moved a piece of furniture in front of the eye sore. Then, I'm assuming they received their money from the loan company they strongly persuaded me to use. I say that because that's when the nightmare began. I now had rats! They took over my newly remodeled kitchen. My dishwasher stopped working. My stove stopped working. The rat's ate a hole in my crown moulding and wall, and ate holes in my custom made window cushions and pillows. CC did initially send out workers, but all they did was leave more traps. Then, I couldn't get anyone to call back. I've filed complaints with the BBB in OK and TX. They did not respond to my complaint. They have a D- BBB rating in OK. read more

March 2020 we paid to remove and replace insulation and pest proof our home with a 10 year warranty and pest free guarantee. In July 2022, we found evidence of a large rodent active inside our home, like in the living areas. We even caught one with our own trap. We called to get them to come out and they said it would be 3 weeks before they could come out. When they finally came out they were over 5 hours late and the guy, Adrian, came in and told me to hire another company for the work because they were too busy. Then he suggested if I wanted to I could take a BB gun into the crawl space and shoot the rats myself. He was here for a total of 10 minutes and said they need "a crew to come out for an inspection." I thought that's what he was. After a week of no one contacting me, we reached back out to them. This time they sent a team that week. Andre and his team came out and inspected the house and found evidence of rats in the crawl space, and in the attic (yes, in their special warrantied insulation we paid 5k for). He said we needed a rat wall as it was the only way to stop them from getting under and up and inside. He said it would need to be around the ENTIRE house. Said it should be part of warranty but didn't know if they'd approve it, but someone should call me in a few days to let me know and further steps. A week and a half later I called them and they told me someone would call me "as soon as possible." A week after that I called them again and they said they need someone to come out to inspect. I made them look more into it and she said she can see the rat wall wad requested and needed to talk with thr GM but would call me on Monday. Another week goes by with no call. We call them again say they need to schedule a team do an inspection. We refuse and say we need to know about rat wall and warranty. She said weeks ago Andre said the rat wall wouldn't fix it. If I could give this company a negative 2 stars, I would. The representative that showed up was unprofessional, attempting to use fear tactics to bully us into a $5000 bill, and tried to force us to leave him a 5 star review upon his exit of our home. We told him exactly where the rat was in our kitchen and that we had it trapped. He ignored my repeated inquiries on what he planned to do about it and proceeded to go into our attic and tell us how he saw droppings and that our insulation needed an update. He spent at least 45 minutes showing us a bunch of worse case scenarios on his Ipad. Literally dozens of videos and photos of snakes and rat infestations from "past clients". We sent him packing because I didn't trust him and hired another local company who came out same day. The other company trapped the rat I said was trapped in our kitchen as well as its lone partner. He said based on what he observed that it seemed like we probably caught it early and that there probably weren't many more if any. He sealed our house from the inside and out, and it cost us $300. He followed up the next day and came by to double check any additional small spaces to ensure we were fully critter proofed. He also checked our attic and told us the guy from Critter Control lied to us about what he said he saw up there. We have had zero issues with rodents since his visit. DO NOT use Critter Control! This is the worst company and worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I never give bad reviews but this company needs to be stopped. So many things have gone wrong but it all started with them lying to my face to get my business which involved us paying over $10,000. They guaranteed humane treatment of the animals being removed but instead put them in trash bags to be thrown away like garbage. When I called to address that issue it resulted in a customer service woman leaving me a voicemail in which she forgot to hang up and was recorded saying something rude about me to the manager. When I finally got the manager to call me back he had no solution or excuse for the things that had happened and flat out lied to me again. All of this happened in October of 2017. Fast forward seven months and not only do we still have a rat issue but I am still getting neglected as of customer and treated like crap by their customer service team. The last time I called to try to get ahold of someone the representative told me she would call me right back after speaking to the manager and never did. It's been a week now. The time before that a different representative said she would have the manager call me the next day and he never did. That was over a month ago! I called this company out a few years ago because we were having squirrel issues with them getting inside. Same exact story all these other folks are saying. They gave me some spiel about footprints and droppings in the attic and wanted to replace all the insulation which I had just had added less than 3 months prior and wanted to charge me over $5000 for it. this company is not a pest control company at all. They merely want to replace all your insulation and put up a few items in your attic to "control" the pests from entering. It's the same thing every time. I was thinking maybe $300 and I would have hired them on the spot. But when they said $5,000+ I immediately declined their offer. They even tried to charge me some $50-$100 consult fee which they never mentioned when i scheduled them to come out. Obviously didn't pay that either. Called a different company out and they fixed my problem for around $300 as I expected it to be In the first place. I wish I had saved that company's information because they were honest and did good work and I would be able to recommend them to anyone considering critter control. Find someone else. Raccoons have been visiting my property regularly this year. I called Critter Control (Bryan) to help us trap them. Everything started out fine, attentive and responsive. We ended up not having any Raccoons come while Critter Control was setup here. While I realize it's not their fault we didn't catch any raccoons, I did not appreciate their behavior at the end of the service. They did not offer to extend the service past the initial service period. They simply came to our house at 5am to take the traps (which woke us from sleeping) I was surprised they took the traps at that time since I hadn't heard from them letting me know they were coming to the house. Its courtesy to let people know when they are coming to your house to begin or end service, this didn't happen. Another reason I was surprised they came at that time is because I thought the wording of the agreement was misleading. It said "Critter Control will set traps for 1 week (5) working business days...Price...$389" It should read "Critter Control will set traps for (5) calendar days...Price...$389" Most people associate a business day with Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM. If they keep the wording as-is, I also suggest actually spelling out the days covered in the service period to avoid confusion. Separately, it is generally frowned upon to just show up at someone's house unannounced at 5am. Overall, I did not get the impression that Critter Control was trying to help me with my raccoon problem. Once they got their money, they were on their way. read more

STAY AWAY! I wish i would have read all the reviews before spending money on this company's service. We spent a lot of money for squirrel removal out of the attic and insulation replacement. We would have been better off going with a big name company like terminex. Phillip (sales rep) came by and when i turned him down, got a hold of Mark (he said was the company owner) within seconds so mark could offer me a discount. They came by, left a mess on my lawn, got paint on my floors, never matched the paint of the parts they used for sealing as promised, and the one way trap they used for the squirrels allowed squirrels in and out. They promised to set up a camera in the attic that would notify them of movement which would prompt a visit from them. They set up a ring motion camera in the attic but they never set it up to the wifi which means there is 0 notifications being sent to them. I called my sales rep Phillip so that he could give me Mark's info, he didn't. I called the office to speak to Mark, you cant. A manager by the name of Blake called me and pretty much made excuses for everything i mentioned that wasn't completed or that they messed up. He was so nonchalant about everything even though i spent thousands on the lousy work. They sent another crew out to fix the issues and here i am months later and they still never set up the camera. This company doesn't care about the customer service and quality of work as much as they do about just getting your money. They continue to over promise and under deliver. We asked him what we needed to do. He said an exclusion was what we needed to do. He started out at 10k+. We expressed our thoughts of the price tag and he said let me see what I can do. He said the owner would knock off $1000 and the he gave me a military discount. I didn't even serve in the military. Our final price was 8.9k. We paid him a 5k deposit right on the spot. My wife and I sat down that evening in pure disgust of the price so we started doing a little research and got a second and third opinion. Low and behold there was no infestation. We had evidence of a rat. (Which is now gone. Thanks paragon.) We asked Daniel to refund our deposit because we wanted to go a different route with a different company. He told us the published reviews were just a scam by other pest control companies. He told us the office would refund our money. It never happened. We disputed the charge with the credit card company. The credit card company credited our account and went after them. Our dispute is close and we still have our money. If you want to be ripped off by a true scam of a company choose critter control. I hear they are owned by Terminix so you might want to investigate them too. This is an incredibly poorly run service and I urge all potential clients to run. They inflate the magnitude of your specific problems, devise some complex and expensive remedy, and promise the moon. Then they don't do what they say they're going to do. After a number of follow-up complaints and "warranty" service calls they drop you with no fix. Their customer relations emphasis seems to be to do the least they can to keep you quiet but never actually solve the problem. And don't ever try to talk to anyone in management! My rat problem has gotten worse with Critter Control, not better. And I have paid a lot of money for horrible results. They tried to tell me that it was my fault, because I needed foundation repair. I already had foundation work done on my house. I have to sweep away the rat droppings and chewings every 2-3 weeks and Critter Control doesn't care. My washer is in the garage with the rats and now I have water leaks from the rats chewing on the water hoses. It doesn't get better. They have to be the worst company because they just cheat their customers -- I don't know how they sleep at night. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! We paid them to have pigeons deterred from nesting on our roof. Not even a month later they were back and in bigger numbers. I was finally able to schedule them to come out again (after calling and emailing over a two week period) and took a day off of work to be at the house when they showed up. 45 minutes after they were supposed to arrive I called to see where they were. NOTE: all of their phone numbers go to a call center and they take messages. ????? When the "manager" Melissa called me back (it was 9:45 am and I think the call center must have woke her up to tell her to call me) She proceeded to tell me that in fact the time for their arrival was in the afternoon, not the morning. I expressed my frustration due to being told it was in the morning. I then explained the issues we were having after already paying for this service as well as taking off of work. Her reply to me was that "you don't need to be there". Okaaaayyy, but I wanted to be in order to make sure they DID SOMETHING!! I continued to tell her how unhappy I was with this situation and she then said "well you are not letting us come out there to fix it". Great response from a "manager". I told her I wanted the owner to call me regarding the return of the pigeons and for a possible refund. Her reply? He is out of town. I told her to have him call me when he returns. A week later still nothing. I called back and told them somebody needed to come to see what was going on- so many pigeons were on the roof again. An appointment was scheduled and when the crew arrived I was there to greet them. I will give credit to the guy that showed up- he was very nice and said he would take care of everything. As I watched, the other gentleman went up to the peak on my roof. He proceeded to throw down an enormous amount of nesting from the peak. The smell was horrible and I could not believe all of that was on the roof AFTER they had supposedly "treated it" and placed reflector gel discs. Low and behold, not even three weeks later they are back on the roof. Also, after it rained recently there was a MOUND of pigeon poop on our driveway, at the end of the gutter. YUCK! I have called for four days in a row now and left messages with the call center people to have someone call me back. Nothing. SO FRUSTRATING! This company needs to be reported to the BBB. read more

I am not one to leave reviews either but this experience left me very upset. I am living on a fixed income and had what I thought to be animal problems. I even marked places when an animal was digging. I paid $1528. and they caught NOTHING! Food was gone but not animals in traps. One trap closed and they said what I had already told the worker that a small animal got into the cage and did not set off the trap. They "sanitized before setting the traps out". If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is a complete scam. We had them come out for a suspicious urine smell in our bedroom wall. Immediately the man said it was mouse urine and explained all about Ferimones and that he could solve smell and infestation without an issue. Guaranteed it would be fine immediately after treatment. When they arrived a man looked around in attics and came down with blurry small pictures and said he detected mice poop. He then proposed a $10,000 solution. After much discussion the bill became $3000. They showed up today to perform the work with a garden sprayer and a granual product to deter rodents. They did not remove the smell as promised and won't do anything further to remediate the issue. Stay far away from this scam!!! The manager won't even talk to you on the phone. All he does is tell the worker to walk away and relay information. We are reporting them to BBB, state attorney office and channel 5 news. Horrible horrible horrible. read more

Requested an inspection to check our attic for rats and was told by the phone receptionist that it sounds like a big problem before I even explained our situation. That seemed off to start but I continued anyway, hoping for the best. The inspector was prompt, thorough, and took pictures of areas of concern for me, which was helpful. But then came the suggested solution, which was 4x the amount of the first company had given. He answered any questions I had but then wanted me to sign up on the spot. I asked to talk it over with my husband and that we would call him later but he was unhappy with that answer and tried to get me to call my husband at work, requested his number, asked when he will be home, etc. Instead of shaking my hand or saying goodbye, he just got up from the table and walked out. It is beyond me how any person can expect to make a sale with that attitude. No matter the product, I would never consider this company for their pushy and off-putting approach. The salesperson was pleasant and appeared genuine initially. Unfortunately they use fear tactics and over exaggerate the issue to get the sale. We heard a critter in our attic- they said it was a mouse infestation and quoted us $11 K (?!!!) to replace the insulation and seal off any small gaps in the attic. I smelled a rat (excuse the pun lol!), so I got a second opinion. The second opinion said that it was no big deal, set some bait traps and are taking care of the issue for $150. I have no idea which Critter Control came to my house. I contacted them because I had something ruining my backyard landscape. Suspect a possum. The guy wasn't interested in the backyard issue but instead insisted on going into my attic because if I had a rat or mice issue they were the reason I had an issue in my backyard. He did the spew I've seen other people write about rat and mice infestation etc in my attic and the price quoted was $6000. Took the guy out thru my back door and he requested to go out my front door instead of thru my gate. Oh the quote for a trap (finally) in my backyard was $300+ and that was an after thought. Please watch out. These people are scam artists. They prey on peoples fear and their lack of knowledge of rats. We had issues with a rat in our garage, so we called Critter Control. They came out and did an inspection and said that they were all in our attic as well and that they would need to remove all of our insulation and put in new insulation and that the whole thing would cost $8,000. The technician texted me every day, saying that his boss said he could knock off a couple hundred here or there. All the while, I was calling another company to get a second opinion. The other company came out and said that all possible entry points had been sealed already, most likely due to a past rat issue and that there was no new evidence in the attic. They put a couple of traps in the garage, fixed the weather strips on our garage (where the rat was getting in) and put some bait boxes in our backyard. $250. Absolutely unreal. Oh and I texted Critter Control afterwards to say that I no longer needed their services and that I had found a much cheaper option. Here is what he texted me back verbatim "Now that's funny!! It's even funnier that your falling for it! Good luck to you my friend." The most unprofessional message I have ever received from a company. Critter control came out for a rat/mice infestation we discovered in our home. They were extremely professional and were able to resolve the situation with urgency. The team that came out to service our house were very professional and kept me up to date on progress during the day. Critter control sent someone one week later to inspect the property and ensure great service was done. We had a full attic restoration and have almost completely resolved the rat/mice infestation. Sent a 'Christian' man out to 'sell' us, even called the owner/boss to reassure us they'd do a good job. We were super pleased to know our attic would be rid of rats and sealed so no more would come in. So far, that is true, but the follow-up has been horrible. Our AC guy just shared photos with us to show that the Critter Control guys did not treat behind our AC. Many missed appointments and broken promises. One guy (Mario) even showed up 45 minutes before our scheduled appt. We never knew he was there. He billed us for the outside treatment even though our Ring cameras showed he didn't even get out of his truck. The gates to our backyard are locked and our dog is very aggressive. He couldn't have treated the back without us being there. I have never been so disappointed/frustrated with service in all my 65 years. My poor husband is pulling out his hair every time he has to call the office because he never gets the same answer. It's been a nightmare. Julian, I'd love to return your "Christian" bracelet. Had rodents in the attic, tech from critter control came out to evaluate my problem. They were very thorough and personable. But in the end the $6000 solution that they presented me with seemed a little excessive. I have no doubts that their solution would have undoubtedly fixed my problem. However I couldn't justify spending that kind of money without first attempting to fix the problem myself. I was able to remove the rodent in the end with about $30 in materials from home depot. read more

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE Critter Control. They are scam artists. We contacted them to come to our house to give a quote for an unknown varment in our attic and/or walls. After spending a few minutes in the attic, the salesperson came down and showed us several pictures (which I am guessing are just stock photos that they use for everyone) of rat droppings and a picture of a pipe that the rats were biting in to to get to the water then told us that we had a rat infestation and that if we didn't get it taken care of, the rats would eat through the pipe causing the house to flood, amongst other calamities. The salesperson recommended that we treat for the rat infestation in addition to getting rid of all of the insulation, replacing it with new insulation, performing an enzyme treatment for the odor (that was attracting snakes), and sealing every exterior opening of the house that goes into the attic. Additionally, it would cost $300 quarterly for them to come back and exterminate. All of this for the grand total of $8900+. My sister (bless her heart) gave the salesperson her credit card as there was a deposit of $4000 just to schedule an appointment. After giving the salesperson her card, he asked for her to go get her computer so that she could write a review for Critter Control at the same time that he was running her card. He pulled out his phone to run her card through the Square app on his phone without presenting a contract or anything in writing. She thought better of leaving the salesperson alone with her card so she only took a few steps then returned to the table. When she sat back down, the salesperson said that he wanted my sister to talk with the owner so that he could ease her mind that they are a good company and would take good care of our house. Turns out talking to the owner meant listening to a recorded message where they dropped my sister's name in the fill-in-the-blank name portion of the recording. The salesperson then called the "office" to see when the next available time was. The salesperson spoke in code to whomever he was speaking with, I'm guessing he was saying "we hooked another moron". Little did they know that I am an internet sleuth and decided to do some digging on their company. I found all of the Yelp reviews and almost all are word for word the script that our salesperson gave us. We decided to contact a couple of other companies to give us a quote. Turns out that we have a squirrel family in our attic with a cost of $1000, not $8900, to fix and not a rat infestation. Needless to say, I contacted the salesperson and told him that I knew that they were scammers and that they were not to charge our credit card or we would file fraud charges with the bank. The salesperson's silence told me that he knew the gig was up. I'll also be contacting the CEO of Critter Control, Kevin Clark, to let him know that his DFW franchisee is running a scam and that they might want to reconsider their affiliation with the company. The worst part about this is that we typically go with veteran owned companies, which Critter Control advertises itself as. Knowing how slimy this company is, I am guessing that might also be a scam, or at least I am hoping it is. read more

This is almost a scam. Not completely but close enough. They will say your attic is overrun with critters of all sorts and then sell you some industrial suctioning and plugging of attic entry points and spraying of boric acid insulation as replacement. Cost anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000. My quote was for $19,000. You can sense shadiness as soon as the saleswoman starts talking. Had two other companies definitely more reputable who felt we had a small mice problem and a raccoon issue. They would drive the critters out and plug holes in the attic for between $2000 to $3000. Much more reasonable and fair and no need for industrial suctioning. If you go with critter control, don't say you weren't forewarned. These people reminded of the Culligan water softener people. read more

Critter Control is extremely over priced. We were told we had an infestation and yet after they removed all our insulation and traps were set, not one rat was caught. We are still trying to get our job finished with our radiant barrier put back in place. They also charged our credit card repeatedly for the total amount when there is a 2500. amount that is owed back to us for a/c duct work and paint work done, that was approved by critter control, that we paid out of our pocket. We have tried to contact them repeatedly with no return phone calls. We have paid a total of 15,000. for this work. Huge mistake hiring Critter Control. read more

We returned from vacation to find an awful smell in the house; initially we assumed it was a dead animal. We called CC as they were on an approved contractor list from a well recognized residential real estate firm. They came out and immediately told us it was a dead rat; no problem, that was the issue we assumed. He then inspected the attic and said we had a massive rat infestation living in the insulation/AC ducts and would need to seal the house remove insulation and duct work, spray and then replace insulation....he also looked underneath the house and said there were tons of rat bones, feces, etc.....total cost $7,000. We talked our way down to $5,300 and then told him I needed to secure a secondary bids. We had two other companies come out and, to our suspicions, not a single rat in the attic, ducts, under the house. The problem; a simple broken sewer line that they both could clearly see under the house. This group is nothing more than a insulation contractor claiming to be a pest control company; not even remotely dealing in ethical grey area. I've notified all residential real estate firms to have them removed from their recommended vendor list and will write the same review on all social mediums to make sure no one wastes an absorbinate amount of money for a simple scam. read more
