Terrible experience and even worse customer service. My 3 friends and I went on a night when they advertised it as a Hispanic night. When we got to the door, the cover charge wasn't communicated clearly -- the guy at the door just said "$20," which we assumed was a flat rate, not $20 per person. We ended up paying $100 for the four of us, only to notice the group of women behind us wasn't charged at all. When I asked why, instead of getting an explanation, my friends and I were kicked out. I asked to speak to a manager since we'd been there less than 10 minutes and three of my friends hadn't even gotten a drink (just water), so I asked if they could at least get a refund. Instead of a manager, they sent out a bouncer who told us it "wasn't up to him, it's up to the DJ." When I asked to speak to the DJ directly to clarify what happened, I was kicked out instead. No one ever explained the inconsistent pricing, no one tried to resolve it, and the music wasn't even good enough to justify any of this. Save your money and go somewhere else -- there are much better spots out there that won't nickel-and-dime you at the door and then refuse to talk to you about it. I bought tickets for John summit it was advertised as all you can drink from 11AM to 6PM, 85+ bathrooms, which sounds nice. They tried to sell us a green mug for $20 each stating it would help us get our drinks faster. Once we got in it was complete chaos. There was zero organization. So disappointed. The pit was insane and so many people pushing with "drugs?" signs, fights and security did nothing. Trying to get drinks was even bigger of a nightmare zero organization, no lines in the entire time we were only able to get 2 drinks Not worth the money. Not accurately advertised. There was zero change of getting to the bathrooms so we had to go outside of tent. They ran out of seltzers.... Ran out of water.... Terrible read more

This is the revamped version of the old Social House that had the painted girls. Huge improvement. They did a spectacular job with the renovations and really classed the place up. We've been a few times since the re-opening, and have had good service and good food. The fettuccine is a huge portion and makes for a lunch the next day. The garlic bread is a nice addition. The pulled pork sandwich is huge as well, Butt impossible to pick up, you have to eat it with a fork and knife. Good, crispy fries, the salad is fresh, the burgers are good sized. They have a very comprehensive menu. The new front patio is very nice. Very roomy, lots of tables, but beware: that's where the smokers sit. There is a sign at the entrance saying that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all checks, but we didn't see that. However, the prices on the receipt are different than what's on the menu. They're slightly higher and weird amounts (the $11.99 burger shows as $12.74, for example). We didn't ask what the deal was, just paid and left. The space has been updated and looks nice. There are two bars one to the left when you first walk in. The second towards the back wall. I went during halloween weekend. I ordered the $25 bottomless mimosas. You are able to choose from orange, pineapple and strawberry flavor. Ive had better. I had pineapple and it was more pineapple than champagne. I tried the strawberry and the syrup was really overpowering. I'd pass on that. For my entree, I had the velvet. Which were four red velvet waffles and 4 whole wings. The red velvet waffles are a tad bit on the thicker side compared to a regular waffle. It came with a cream cheese glaze. The waffles were too sweet for my liking. The chicken lacked seasoning. If you're going for a vibe then I'd say its cool for that. You'll just leave a little hungry. read more

When we first stepped in there was a few bugs flying around. The ambience was nice but it wasn't that many people around . The waiter was nice but there was a lot of gnats flying on us and around the food. We had to pack up and take our food to go because of the gnats. The food was alright . On the night of November 2nd, we celebrated my brother's 16th birthday at the Social House/Social Bar. About a week ago, we came in to inquire about the space (I know, it was last-minute) and asked to speak with the manager. He came out, was extremely helpful and understanding, and got us situated right away. Fast forward to the night of the celebration--everything came together beautifully. We were able to bring in a backdrop, balloons, cake, and centerpieces. If we had needed to bring in more items, I'm sure that would have been accommodated, but we wanted an easy cleanup. The staff members were incredibly pleasant, and the food, which is always delicious, remained consistent even with a party of over 50 people. It was impressive that not one person had to send anything back. We want to thank everyone working the night of November 2nd! read more

Came here to watch the playoff game and for some drinks and a good meal. This is definitely a really nice sports bar that offers a full restaurant menu which I love. You can order some bar food or a nice upscale meal. They have nice seating offering high tops and low tables and the bar is very nice! Definitely recommend sitting at the bar to watch the nice projection screen. So we ordered the loaded potato skins for our appetizer. They were good but very greasy, definitely had a bad case of greasy fingers after eating those. For my entree I ordered the Pasta Gianna. Y'all! It was soooo delicious!! So tasty and creamy and lots of shrimp. It came with garlic bread on the side as well. I have been brought so many of my clients in here for at least 6 years for lunch during the week. It always seems to impress them. Great service, good food, quick and easy even with a decent crowd. But the last visit really through me off. There was a small mix up with an order of one of my clients.. No big deal, but the way the manager (I believe her name was Christina) handled it was completely unprofessional. I've never seen someone on that much of a power trip over something so small. Instead of just fixing the problem, she had an attitude and it the whole thing awkward for everyone. My last straw was hearing her rude comments about us from around the corner when she didn't think we could hear her. The staff still deserves credit because our waiter was great and apologetic, but management like that kills the vibe fast. It put a bad taste in my mouth and I think I'll stick with Hammerstone's or McGurks for my next client lunch. read more

The staff in my experience is nice, and the new remodel looks great. But after today's experience, I think these folks are crooks. I paid for 7 Nutrl Seltzers, a 12 pack of which costs $16 at the store. The price for 7 at Social? ... $65! Sixty. Five. Dollars. For 7 cans of Anheuser Busch seltzer. This includes the $7(!) per drink face value, plus tax, PLUS the tip they automatically charge to your bill even if there's just one of you. That's right. Some places charge an automatic gratuity if you have 6 or 8 guests. Not Social! You come in by yourself or with a date, no matter how the service is, you're getting charged a gratuity you didn't agree to. I'm a heavy tipper, usually at least 25-30%. But if you CHARGE me for a gratuity, I'm not tipping at all. The manager when I left provided me a gift card, and I appreciate that, but this whole thing seems super friggin shady. You're charging me a 400% mark up on a seltzer and then you're going to charge me a gratuity for the service? Whether it was good or terrible? But not tell me in advance and just sneak it onto the bill? Hard pass. What the fuck guys. Oh, and just to clarify, they charge you GRATUITY on the the TAX they charge you. So if you buy a seltzer, they charge you $7. Then tax. Then gratuity on the drinks AND the tax. You are FORCED to pay a "tip" on the sales tax. read more

Today, my friend and I were going to Social House to celebrate Mardi Gras. On our way in, a large, African American bouncer grabbed my friend (a petite, 5'4 female) and shoved her with so much force that he pushed her through both doorways. All my friend said was simply "I'm with her" when he tried to separate the two of us and took physical measures to push her out the door. She has had several back surgeries and didn't need a large man Three times her size AGGRESSIVELY SHOVING HER. She was so rattled and couldn't understand what happened and was in tears she was so upset. After such an absurd display of violence we stepped aside to speak to the manager. The manager Michael Samuels was even more disrespectful and refused to reprimand the bouncer or do ANYTHING to make up for the violent behavior. It was rude and astonishingly alarming and I will NEVER RETURN THIS BAR. If you're planning on going make sure you wear a helmet and pads because even if you're a female the bouncers have no problem shoving you out the door. Unbelievable. read more

I went to the newly remodeled location at Soulard. It was spectacular! I felt like I was in a high end restaurant/sports bar in Vegas. Completely different theme and vibe. This is now a place that you can bring your wife (perfect date night)and or kids, or just go with your friends. The food. SPECTACULAR!! I had the lobster roll, and I felt like I was in Maine, it was fresh and cooked perfect. My wife had the Beef tenderloin Steak and it was tender with the perfect seasoning. The pricing. VERY reasonable , especially considering the high quality of food that they use. I was concerned about parking at first (being that it is in the Soulard/downtown area), but they have a huge, safe, lighted, parking lot next to the restaurant.
