This is the revamped version of the old Social House that had the painted girls. Huge improvement. They did a spectacular job with the renovations and really classed the place up. We've been a few times since the re-opening, and have had good service and good food. The fettuccine is a huge portion and makes for a lunch the next day. The garlic bread is a nice addition. The pulled pork sandwich is huge as well, Butt impossible to pick up, you have to eat it with a fork and knife. Good, crispy fries, the salad is fresh, the burgers are good sized. They have a very comprehensive menu. The new front patio is very nice. Very roomy, lots of tables, but beware: that's where the smokers sit. There is a sign at the entrance saying that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all checks, but we didn't see that. However, the prices on the receipt are different than what's on the menu. They're slightly higher and weird amounts (the $11.99 burger shows as $12.74, for example). We didn't ask what the deal was, just paid and left. Overall good experience, huge improvement from a couple of years ago.

The space has been updated and looks nice. There are two bars one to the left when you first walk in. The second towards the back wall. I went during halloween weekend. I ordered the $25 bottomless mimosas. You are able to choose from orange, pineapple and strawberry flavor. Ive had better. I had pineapple and it was more pineapple than champagne. I tried the strawberry and the syrup was really overpowering. I'd pass on that. For my entree, I had the velvet. Which were four red velvet waffles and 4 whole wings. The red velvet waffles are a tad bit on the thicker side compared to a regular waffle. It came with a cream cheese glaze. The waffles were too sweet for my liking. The chicken lacked seasoning. If you're going for a vibe then I'd say its cool for that. You'll just leave a little hungry.

Frisco melt. Microwaved frozen patty, frozen thousand island dressing. Fries were good but sandwich was uneatable.

Atmosphere was great. TVs, drinks , service was excellent. Food gets a zero. Would definitely return for watching games and drinks but not to eat.

Came here to watch the playoff game and for some drinks and a good meal. This is definitely a really nice sports bar that offers a full restaurant menu which I love. You can order some bar food or a nice upscale meal. They have nice seating offering high tops and low tables and the bar is very nice! Definitely recommend sitting at the bar to watch the nice projection screen. So we ordered the loaded potato skins for our appetizer. They were good but very greasy, definitely had a bad case of greasy fingers after eating those. For my entree I ordered the Pasta Gianna. Y'all! It was soooo delicious!! So tasty and creamy and lots of shrimp. It came with garlic bread on the side as well. I definitely recommend this spot if your wanting a place to grab drinks and watch sports or even a nice place to bring a significant other for a nice meal.

I ordered the build your own burger, loaded with bacon. It had a good flavor from the beef and the bacon was crispy. A solid burger.

They did a nice job redecorating and classing up the staff attire compared to the old set up. It's a nice sports bar now.the food is decent, but comparable to a chain restaurant. Lots of TV's. Large space. Easily able to accommodate groups.

By far the best place in Soulard to hang out, have some good food and drinks, especially before a Cardinals game.

It was decorated all out for the Olympics and they have several comfy couch areas which were perfect for us with our toddler who does not want to sit still... We spent a few hours here and had some appetizers and drinks. We had the pub pretzel, pickle chips, fried cheese and soup. All were out quickly and very good. The pretzel was SO good! Served with mustard and warm cheese for dipping and it's huge. Service was friendly and fast. Bathrooms are spacious and new and clean with a nice large stall for baby changing. It wasn't crowded in the middle of a day on Friday so, pleasant to watch the game with a small group. I'm sure it can get really busy and rowdy during sports events downtown. All in all, new and comfy and a place I can see us coming often.

My coworkers, who also ran, insisted on meeting up here. They didn't really run, they walked. I can't walk a 5K, because pull your head out of your ass. I could have ordered something light, but I figured I'd go in, since I won't be returning. I don't have the means or the interest to catch a soccer game at the nearby stadium, and even if I did, I heard they've got good food vendors. What do I need with this place? Depending on how much they want for beer across the street, it might make sense to pregame here, especially if they're pulling the same BS they pull at Riverport where the police roam the parking lot and try to prevent you from drinking in your car, as one does. My little brother's running group had a function here after a marathon I ran a few weeks ago. Free food and drinks. I'm not even a member of that group, but I was dressed in running attire and wearing a medal. You best believe I got my drink on. Did it aid in my recovery? No. No, it did not. I got the sense that they had busboys and randos from off the street running orders and that this place might not be fully staffed except for on game day. That was also the case yesterday evening. The guy waiting our table obviously didn't know what he was doing, but he seemed chill and ultimately got the job done. Hopefully my boss left him a tip. The menu consists of standard sports bar fare, including two sandwiches that purport to feature meat from the Carnegie Deli. I found this highly improbable, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join the ranks of Bowzer from Sha Na Na and Arthur Fonzarelli. This may have been my one opportunity in life. You can get either a basic pastrami on rye, for purists, or people with certain dietary restrictions, or the Reuben. I of course went with the latter. I found it surprisingly neat, without too much sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and what have you, to where it gets all sloppy. The slices of meat were uniform to the point where I was concerned, but damn it if it wasn't moist and flavorful. Nullus. It's pastrami, so it's supposed to be processed anyway. It comes with your choice of fries, chips or some sort of salad. For chips, you can get Red Hot Riplets, which is nice for tourists. It'll save them from having to go to a Schnucks. We should all be lucky. I went with the fries, for the sake of citizen food journalism. Surprisingly, these were shoestring fries, not unlike at a Steak 'n Shake. You don't see that as often these days. Were they great? No. But it was still kinda neat that they had them. Really, you're just going here because it's either across the street from the soccer stadium or (I think) built into Union Station. In that sense, it's almost like they're doing you a favor by offering food that's not half bad. What else are you going to do, try to go drink in your car?

So I ordered a side of french fries which were beef fat fries giving it a unique flavor. The titles for the BBQ sauces had me googling them to ensure they weren't too spicey, even with the titles the spice levels weren't too high. I tried them all and settled on Hotangy. And therefore, Salt & Smoke was a regular treat for us. Who doesn't love those giant popovers? But back then, there was only the one location. Eating here was an experience. You sat down and KNEW it was going to take an hour and a half because everything was made fresh. It's not like that anymore. And to be completely honest, we were in somewhat of a rush so I did appreciate that everything came our quick, but.... The meats had obviously been sitting around for awhile and not fresh. The mac n cheese had that great flavor I remember, but again, I could tell it wasn't fresh. And the biggest dissapoinment, which is what I was looking forward to, was the popover. It was cold. And had obviously been sitting around all day. We sat at the bar and service was great. The bartender was fantastic, and took really good care of us. Food was super quick. But it seems they've given up quality for quantity and time.
