I rarely write reviews but Croff Electric was just fabulous. This is a family business. Jeremy came and looked at what we needed with no charge, sent us a quote that was honest and very reasonable. Believe me we have remodeled homes in NY, Altadena, San Marino, Pasadena, so we know what is reasonable. Jeremy arrived on time and to our surprise arrived with his father, a veteran electrician, and his son, now learning the business. They couldn't have been more efficient, neat and innovative. They replaced our old recessed halogen lights with state of the art LED. This was just not a replacement of the cans, since the old halogen lights were wired through some container that had to be opened and removed. Don''t ask me exactly, all I know is it took them time and effort. They even left us some halogen bulbs in case we needed to replace them in the back of the house. We will be changing those out for LED and will use Croff Electric. They were able to overcome a few jobs that had previously been done, before we owned the house, that had some questionable "fixes". They put in a new island electric outlet that took some doing, because there was little space between wine cooler and microwave. Everything was done to code. The short version: - came out same day (within 4 hours of calling) - everyone was professional and polite - quick, quality service - variety of payment methods accepted The long version: I called at 10 am and was told that a technician could come out after 1 pm today! I received a text at 1:30 letting me know that a technician would arrive in about 30 minutes. Two technicians arrived almost exactly 30 minutes after that. They got right to work. They reconnected the wires, fixed a screw that they noticed was stripped, and rehung the chandelier. Then they tested to make sure that it worked. Excellent electrician! I have used Croff Electric a couple times now for minor electrical needs, and every time I've called, Jeremy, the owner picks up right away. He's very professional, responsive, affordable, timely, knowledgeable, and never tries to upsell on other electrical needs (which we have). My kitchen florescent light fixture went on the fritz. I suspected the ballast was out but not sure. They suggested retrofitting the fixture to an LED and we would be able to keep the same fixture (matched our decor). Great idea! Cost about the same as a ballast replacement but now I have an LED light for less than if I had purchased and new fixture and payed them to install it. Replaced the ancient light switch too for a nominal fee. The entire job was reasonably priced. Jeremy was great with his advice on the phone and his tech Anthony was very smart and had the job done in less than an hour. And on the same day I called! I paid with check but found out they take credit cards if you call it in to their office. My only slightly negative observation was you need uniforms. You guys are top notch pros. Dress like it. I found Croff Electric based on reviews on Yelp. I needed help troubleshooting a ceiling light that was getting half the voltage it should. I called and spoke with Jeremy. I've never worked with him previously so I assumed we'd set a service appointment for him to come and work on the issue. Jeremy asked a lot of questions and suggested I check a few things I hadn't looked at. He said if those suggestions didn't work to call him back for an appointment.
