I had hired him several times previously (all fantastic experiences) and so, although he didn't have the time, he helped me troubleshoot it. He quickly realized that the amount of power coming in to my house was no longer under control and instructed me what to do. When SCE came, the guy said that if it wasn't for Alex, my house could have burned down - or at minimum all my appliances would have burned out if it wasn't for him. Alex called ME several times to make sure we were OK afterward. He asked for NOTHING in return. (I didn't accept those terms.) I don't have enough words to thank him. Requested a free estimate recently and was very disappointed to see Ducros' quote be almost 50% higher than 3 other places I received quotes from. The other places had more services included in their price too. My recommendation to anyone quote shopping for major electrical work, contact at least 2-3 other places and you'll see the price/scope of work differences as well. Alex was the estimator and I was expecting good things based on past reviews and didn't receive that at all. Not sure if it was because I told you this was my first home but the dishonesty in your pricing needs to be reassessed. With internet access and electrician feedback it's easy to tell that your quote was ridiculous. The suggested approach to the work wasn't great either, my home definitely doesn't need a sub panel in the house when I'm getting a main panel upgrade. The number of dedicated circuits recommended by you compared to general recommendations I've heard didn't match nor made sense with the high price you charged. 29-33k for 12 circuits and a main panel upgrade with an unneeded sub panel in the home to "save on wires used"? Really? The only positive thing I have to say is your customer service rep was kind. read more

Highly recommend! First, they were very responsive to all calls and emails. Getting the estimate, invoice, and paying was super simple via email. But the best part was the work they actually did. Our house is difficult and has exposed beams with a very thin roof. I've had several electricians come evaluate and tell me I will have to drywall my ceiling, but Ducros had the knowledge and ideas needed to deliver the clean look I wanted. Update after service was complete: Fantastic service. They were able to track down the internal parts for our panel within a week which saved us having to do a full panel update (which is what other quotes were steering us towards). Job was done quickly and professionally with a great amount of communication. Would recommend. Pre-service review: Called Ducros after figuring out that something was wrong with my electrical panel. Communication was super easy and fast. They had an electrician (Alex) at our place in about two hours. Alex was great, explained the issue, and provided some helpful feedback on what to do next (it's a larger issue involving SCE, a meter, and a damaged electrical panel...and that's unfortunately not the start of a good joke). Our elderly electrical panel was at end-of-life, so we requested bids from several electricians, including Ducros. They were responsive coming out to examine our panel, and even helped us circumvent SCE's impenetrable phone menu to request a meter spot so they could give us an accurate estimate. Their estimate included getting the permit from the city and scheduling the inspection, which was one reason we picked them. Their quote was in line with others we got. The day they replaced our panel, Alex, Cruz and Vince arrived right on time with all the materials and got to work. And then... it was done. They finished on time, everything was working well, and Alex returned the next day to meet the inspector. Everything passed inspection and we can now use appliances without worrying about tripping circuit breakers or frying more wires in the panel. Another plus was being able to pay for the work by credit card, much more secure than a paper check. We'd hire them again in a minute. read more

Alex is great but dealing with their office staff continues to be unacceptable, a bill came with wrong amounts, office has no communication skills, tried to charge us $2,000. late fee for a $350. bill they said was correct, then we called directly to Alex and he corrected it to the correct amount $250. which took 4 months later. Having to go back and forth many times to correct this is a waste of everyone's time. Then two days later they text me on a weekend saying my email is incorrect, i have had the same email for over 30 years and they never had a problem before. Alex and Alan finished work on our house today. Alex was extremely friendly and respectful both during the estimate and when they came out to do the work we requested. The problem we had before was that other electricians were calling out every little thing that they wanted to replace or redo. One even told us that we HAVE to rewire the whole house. I get it, our house wasn't built in the last 20 years, there's tons of things that could use some work. But you know what? We also don't have the $20,000+ and time to move all of our furniture, cover everything, and move out for 3 weeks. I needed a sub panel upgrade and a new outlet installed for my fridge so that it was in its own circuit. Grant came out and quoted me 1200.00 for the job. Although it was on the higher end of some the quotes I have got, Grant took the time to explain things and didn't try to add work by suggesting unnecessary stuff. Reason for four stars is (not sure if it was just Grant or the company policy) they do not patch holes they make which the other company I have used did do that. Grant did let me know holes would not be patched but I had already accepted the job and patching holes (for me) isn't the hardest thing but adds on the the list of things to do around the house (which is annoying lol) Also, nothing was labeled on the sub panel which would have been nice to have done. Other than that Grant was nice and professional. Thank you. Edit: Yes my box was labeled and I took the time to rewrite it so tech could see.
