We've gone quite a few times with friends and it's a great time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It does get a little loud when it's busy, but it's a lot of fun and we love that there are lots of food and drink options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have done their trivia and it's fine, we just struggled because there were a lot of non- trivia people there making it hard to hear.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My second time here. I went because we had our monthly deaf event here and unfortunately due to the weather there was only 12 people showed up. But the service was great and the cheese fries were great. I plan on returning.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Crooked Can feels more like a community meeting space than a brewery, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead of a strong focus on their beers, Crooked Can feels a bit like a "home" for an entire food court with a bit of an afterthought on their own beers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While this might make for an "odd" experience compared to a standard brewery, it makes for a fantastic experience for social meet-ups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone can find their own food (or alcohol-free) happy place without trying to make everyone agree on a single type of food. PROS: -[[HIGHLIGHT]]This really is a space for everyone. If you don't drink alcohol, there's a coffeeshop here. If you don't like a specific style of food, there are multiple other vendors to choose from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're on a diet, Norwich Grocery or Pitabilities may have some food that's going to keep you lower calorie while the rest of your group eats their fancy meals. There's really no expectation to "buy beer" here, either, so this place was hopping at 11AM. -[[HIGHLIGHT]]A huge, huge space. Crooked Can's "Center Street Market" (as they call it) is gigantic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's this mini food court with different food vendors inside. There's a bunch of indoor tables. There's this gigantic, fenced-in outdoor area complete with faux grass for kids to play on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's the DORA right outside this fenced-in area (make sure you drink is in a plastic cup if you plan to leave the fence). [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a nice outdoor day, this really is a treat with enough tables and space outside that it feels very "sitting at a park" vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -Getting a beer here was smooth and easy. They're on Untappd, and you can easily view their flavors before getting in line. We were able to get a beer in minutes with friendly, helpful service. Beer was a little thinner than I was expecting but still very drinkable and went really well with food. -Pour-your-own-water here as well. You don't have to bother someone or pay for water. Just grab your own water refills as needed. I still consider this a must-have for any establishment selling alcohol. CONS: -[[HIGHLIGHT]]This "community space" vibe has one big drawback for me (personally). Tons of kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You don't often see kid-heavy breweries, but because Crooked Can has more of an appeal for all and a great outdoor area, there are lots of kids running around inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Being bumped into by kids while carrying trays and beers wasn't ideal, but I also respect everyone having a space to use.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just keep that in mind if you were hoping for adult-type conversations at a place serving 21+ beverages. -Crooked Can is located in a pretty busy part of Hilliard. Parking isn't impossible, but depending on how busy it is around here, you might be looking at a couple of blocks. There's a public, free parking lot right across the street, but we took one of the last few open spots there when we arrived, and the place was even fuller by the time we left. -[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're going for "things to do", the outdoor area here didn't seem to have many games or outdoor activities.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You'd probably want to bring your own games to entertain the kids and expect that most of the outdoor area here is for conversing and socializing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pros: the bartender are great. There are food options which is nice if you have a group that can't pick where to eat. It's good if you have a group. There's live music some nights and they have heaters outside for the chillier evenings. Cons: while blocking the street is a cool if you have someone with mobility issues it is quite a hike from parking to the brewery.

This place is VERY cool! There are several places to eat inside: Dumplings of Fury, Bakes by Lo, the Cheesecake Girl, Rime Time, Hot Mess, Al's (popcorn), Meatball Mafia, Coffee Connections, Two Step Tacos, and Pitabilities. We wanted to try the taco place but no one was there? (Odd) (We checked, they were open) Other than that we tried Dumplings of Fury and Hot Mess (both were yummy!) The Cheesecake girl is amazing! We tried Bakes by Lo too but we were not impressed (it is more light desserts with a very limited menu (cookies/brownies). We love the set up, it is similar to Budd Dairy and North Market (which are two other places we love). We are excited to come back to this location and try more! What a fun and different set up!!!

Can't believe I hadn't done my review for this place. We spent a lot of time here this summer and fall since they have an amazing outdoor space and it makes things easier with covid and friends who are concerned eating indoors. The patio space is AMAZING. So much room. So many tables. Walk up bar so you don't have to even go inside if you don't want to. They always have a cocktail or two on tap. Heads up they are not made to order. They are premade and poured to order. My husband loves the beers. The staff is already really nice. Tons of space indoor and outdoor to sit. They have 3 bars so there is never a long wait for drinks. Patio is pet friendly which we love. Love seeing all of the pups having a good time too. Definitely a fun place to hang out.

    Lots of variety

Such a cool place! This huge brewery has 3 different bars selling different brews on tap! There is a huge patio outside that accommodates even the biggest group! I went when it was really cold and they had a huge gas fire pit with lava rocks going outside for people to hang out around. But the inside is so spacious, allows plenty of social distancing and has a variety of restaurants within the same building. I got some homemade Asian dumplings and then sat down to a flight Can't wait to come here when I can sit outside!

Last week was my first time to Crooked Can and I will be back. We went on a Thursday evening and it had live music! A great place to take both friends and family. We ate at Meatball Mafia which was exceptional! This place has a similar concept as Budd Dairy Food Hall.

It was hot sitting outside. No fans going. They do have fruity beers on the menu! Great for me since I don't drink heavy beers anymore. Stomach can't stand it and I mentally can't stand the calories. (That's what getting older does to you.) We tried the food. I got the pepperoni pizza with hot honey while my friends tried the Cuban and Sal's (their version of the Italian sandwich). Delicious! Pizza was personal-sized but I still had my friends help me. I can't do tons of dairy. My friend didn't care much for the pizza, but I'm a huge pepp fan. We all know There's trash pizza out there and this is def much better !!! My friends also loved the sandwiches. I def want to try them next time! Staff was super nice. Attentive even though they were busy. Only 2 servers. Overall, great vibes for a Sunday around noon. Not super busy. It was pretty chill. Love it here!

We went today for Father's Day, about six months after the last sub par experience, hoping it would be better. Somehow they ran out of chicken again?! AND lemonade, and they had no kids menus left. Food took forever. I ordered a glass of wine that never arrived - and when we got our check it's just a tablet with a price. We wanted to leave so I didn't even check to see if the wine was still on there. Food was cold, salad was soggy, burger was very meh. For $150 it was overall a bad experience for the second time in a row. Definitely spend your money at any of the other local restaurants in town.

"No Soliciting " is a bar we found online - but didn't realize is a private club for members only. We tried The Pearl next door. They were closing in minutes. So we found that North High was the next closest place that closed at 10:00pm. We were also desperate for a restroom. We walked in - the place was devoid of customers - and the bar tender was NOT happy to see us. She had a very long day - and was yearning to "Just. Go. Home." We've all been there. She agreed to let us have one drink in plastic cups - completely understandable. But she messed up by letting us stay - completely underestimating the level of style & charm (not to mention handsomeness) my colleague and I possess *wink* . "One drink" turned into a handful. A good time was had by all. We hated that we had an early morning the next day - and had to return to our hotel well before we would have liked. I will make North High a "mandatory stop" on future visits (alongside my other "mandatory stop" - The Rusty Bucket for their buffalo chicken sandwich - with an extra side of buffalo). Side note - she gave me a taste of their Bloody Mary mix. *VERY* good. I used some of my dashing character and disarming baby blues to swindle them out of a bottle for only $15. It was worth $50. But this was a one-off deal. Don't walk in there expecting the same courtesy - unless you too possess unmatched panache & flair *finger guns*.

We walked through a neighborhood to get to it, but it's on a bike trail, which my brother has actually biked from his house in Dayton. The brewery was pretty empty when we were there but the employees were super friendly and helpful, talking us through all the options and what the favorites/most popular beers are. Nate got a flight and I got a beermosa, which you can order with any of their beers - they recommended the raspberry springer, which was perfectly fruity and a great pairing. I also ended up trying a canned seltzer that they had (not their own), which was very tasty and not a brand we get in Michigan. The space is open and decent sized, and they have plenty of outdoor seating too. There's a shelf of board games that you can play while enjoying your drinks.
