Another stop on the Ale Trail. It was nice to stop at a place that sells some of my favorite brews. Their beers seem to be at every supermarket and restaurant in Central Ohio. They have beers here that I've never had before.. Great selection, service, and facility. No food this time but it did look good.

What an excellent brewery situated off the beaten path. This was our first visit to CBC, even though I've had their beer hundreds of times. Plenty of parking and well tailored entrance greeted us as we arrived. As we grabbed our seat at the bar, I noticed food coming out to a few people and I knew the pizza was in my future. The chorizo pizza knocked it lit of the park and the dough was seriously my favorite part. Tons of air with a light and crispy mouth feel. It was seriously the perfect pizza and I'd put it in my top 10 for the city. Their beer was fantastic as always and I loved how I could get a few ounces at a time. It really opened us up to trying almost 10 beers on their menu and it was perfect. The staff was super knowledgeable about their menu and beer, answering all of my questions as we went along. We will definitely be back to try the remainder of the menu!

CBC has always been one of my favorite brewing companies in Columbus. I'm a huge fan of their beers, but I'd never actually seen the brewery or even knew where exactly it was located. Now they have an awesome taproom with great food that reopened this past Summer, and it's worth checking out! As with any brewery's taproom, you're going to find a bunch of delicious beer here that you most likely won't find in stores. They had a sour that was very tasty, and I probably could have kept drinking that all night. The real star here for me is the food. I wasn't expecting a whole lot being a small menu and off-the-beaten path taproom, but the food was SO good. The pizza is just as good, if not better, than any Wizard of Za pie (they look pretty similar as well), and the burger is just about perfect with Butcher and Grocer ground beef. I had some of the Za'atar wings as well which was so different from any wings I've had, but they were crunchy and juicy. The service was a little slow, but I can deal with that. Overall, this place is great with a pretty patio and large indoor seating, and I'd very highly recommend checking it out.

Holy MOLYYYY. This... this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. When I had ordered my pizza I really didn't know what to think. May I have the cacio de Pepe pizza, I said. I had no idea what the pizza would be like, will there be pasta on it? Lots of cheese? Just cheese and pepper? I really didn't know what to expect but wow was it a great surprise. When you bite into this pizza it tastes like you are taking a journey to Italy. The olive oil seeping into your mouth and the gooey cheese pulling between your teeth and pizza as you take a bite. It was a wonderful experience for sure. I'm not sure what type of olive oil they're using for it but you just know it's a good one. The flavor is just out of this world. Well I've done enough pimping over this pizza, I want to tell you about the fun I had here! The wall is painted with a beautiful mural of dragons and aliens and it was thoroughly amazing! They also have plenty of board games you are able to play with some including uno, jenga and a similar game to cards against humanity. Will be back for the pizza!

Great beers, good food, nice open layout (with back patio seating in warmer weather). Love the wall art. Good for families -- we enjoyed the cacio y pepe pizza (very thick and cheesy-- reminded me more cheese toast than pizza) and the boneless wings (good variety of sauces available; wish it came with celery instead of carrots). Will return for casual bites and brew.

Just checked out CBC tonight for dinner and it was so amazing. I expected their drinks to be amazing but their food was out of this world. We shared the chorizo pizza and the bbq garlic parm boneless wings -- those are a must have!!! I'm still drooling over the sauce. Jeez we are definitely going to come back during the summer and sit on the patio and get those wings!!! Top notch place!!

Well, the ballyhooed opening of the CBC taproom has come and gone, and I'm finally sitting in a semi-retro-industrial bar stool at their stretched-u-shaped sanded-concrete bar. That's a lot of s's. (This is definitely not poetry, so nix any thoughts of alliteration). But that's not nearly as many s's as there are CBC beers on tap. 24. 12 each on 2 standpipes. That's good. Right? Yep. And there's lots to choose from in the beer-to-go category. Even better. I won't be able to evaluate all of the beers for a couple of months. I live pretty nearby, but not nearby enough to walk home. Which is a requirement if someone wants to tackle 24 craft brews in less than...oh, I don't know...6 or 7 sittings. But,I digress... There's still work to be done on the facility. Wall graphics. Rail counters along the perimeter. Patio stuff. Etc. But, it's certainly functional as a tap room. TVs? Well, I'm informed that the beer listings are replaced by OSU games. But that's it for "programming". At least for now. There's a paraphernalia section that offers t-shirts, wrist bands, hats, glasses, etc. I snagged a t-shirt. Why not? There's some cool ones. The bar was pretty full heading into 10pm. But there's quite a few tables available, too, for twosomes and foursomes. Overall, I'm optimistic about where this new location for CBC is heading. Taprooms are not "brewpubs", necessarily. And the CBC taproom is sharply focused on the beer & conversation motif of a taproom. Sometimes, simplicity is the silent genius of invention. This is one of those times. Be a wanderer. Check out the new CBC venue when you're on the west side. And take something home, even if it's only a good life experience. ****

First time trying the food and definitely will be returning again soon. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. Had the pizza and burger. Both were great. Draft list was also very good and had lots of options. Only downside is the location as it is a little difficult to get to.

Several times I have meet friends or family here and every time there has been a line to get a drink. Not to tough..... fix it.....and let your customers sit down and enjoy a beer instead of standing in line, the beers are not cheap you can afford to flex up when you get busy. Oh and don't try to make things easier on the group you are with, I was told everyone waits in-line when I tried to get a drink for someone in my group who didn't do their time. Lots of rules as mentioned in other posts...we slid two tables together so our group could sit together. (You should put s sign up about this!)Pretty quickly someone came out and separated them telling us if we do it "everyone will think they can too"! Not very customer friendly business in my opinion.

I drive from Columbus about 2x a month or more depending on what they have going on and they usually do. Absolute best beer garden which makes sense they have been voted #1 by USA Today's Reader choice. I've been coming here the last couple of years - heard about it through someone I knew. They host craft markets, farmers markets, mini shows to bigger ones - North to Nashville has played here. The beers are good and the service is great. Parking is across he street in the field - they have foods trucks and constantly post on their Instagram about the food trucks. It's an old farm that has been converted into. Brewery - lots of space and tables inside. Great seating outdoors as well - bring chairs for shows bc tables may be taken. There is a trail along the backside so sometimes you'll see people riding horses. It's close to Alum Creek and is Grear for star gazing in the summer. I love coming here to get out of the city life. Sometimes I'll bring a book, grab a drink and just hang out. Really good spot. Enjoy!

BaldWhiteGuy Reviews…read more https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B3pXxs7fM/ So there I was... headed toward the chaos Blue Suede vortex known as the Ohio FFA at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds. Needed lunch and thought about North High Street, but was not already mentally preparing to fight for parking like it's a Black Friday sale in 2003. Audible called. Swung into Grove City instead. Smart move. Possibly my best decision since I stopped trusting gas station hotdogs. After some extensive research (opened Yelp Columbus judged harshly, moved on), I had three requirements: 1. Not a cookie-cutter chain 2. Somewhere new 3. A menu that wouldn't trigger "I don't see anything I like" syndrome Enter: Broadway Plates & Pints 4008 Broadway, Grove City Grove City is that sweet spot... close enough to Columbus to feel alive, but still has that "people wave at you for no reason" energy. Parked on the street like a rookie, only to later discover there's parking behind everything. If you can't find a spot, just check the rear. Yes, I said it. Walked in, grabbed a seat. Smaller place, but in a good way. Elevated tables, bar seating, normal tables for us normal-ish folks. Big windows for prime people-watching. My dimpled sidekick even got a wave from a random passerby. #Friendly #ShesGotFans Then... plot twist... Cleveland Ketchup Company Ketchup sitting on the table. Didn't even know ketchup could have a hometown. #OH.. All-natural, Ohio-made, no junk. And yeah... it's actually really good. The Bald Bunch supports local, even if it's tomatoes living their best life. Check Cleveland Ketchup Company out. They have plenty of locally sourced condiment options. #supportlocal Server Emma B rolls up, keeps it simple. Water and a Michelob ULTRA for me. Because hydration matters... and so does survival. We were starving, so appetizer time: Fried Mozzarella Triangles Hot, crispy, did the job. Not life-changing, not disappointing. The Toyota Camry of appetizers. Reliable. Gets you where you need to go. Now the menu... solid lineup. Burgers, wings, calzones, sandwiches, enough options to make commitment issues flare up. I was bouncing between a calzone, Italian sub, or burger... Then I saw it... THE KRAKEN And listen... you don't order The Kraken. You summon it. This thing shows up like it just crawled out of the Atlantic looking for revenge: * THREE patties (because one or two is for amateurs) * Bacon * American cheese * Caramelized onions * Onion ring * Steak aioli * Brioche bun * AND a honey butter pretzel sitting on top like a crown Just in case was not already enough calories. This wasn't lunch. This was a full-contact event. Immediately ate the onion ring and honey butter pretzel solo like a savage. Then went to work. Multiple napkins required. Not first-date safe. Not job interview safe. Possibly not OSHA approved. But man... it was GOOD. Patties cooked right. Bacon had that perfect bite. Aioli and onions brought it all together like a greasy symphony. Left full... borderline questioning life choices... but zero regrets. Fries? Solid. Pretzel Topper? Sneaky good. Honestly might go back just for those. Service? Emma B crushed it. Drinks stayed filled, no disappearing act, no "I'll be right back" and then vanishing into another dimension. Now... let's talk price. $54.25 for lunch. Look... I get it. Everything costs more now. But I'm still gonna complain about it like it's my full-time job. Either prices come down or someone needs to give me a raise. Preferably both. And one more thing... Beer was cold. BUT NOT IN A FROSTED MUG. Unacceptable. Somewhere, Congress is wasting time when they could be solving real issues like this. Draft beer should never warm up mid-drink. That's just science. Final Rating: ‍‍‍‍ - 4 out of 5 Bald Heads Pros: * Parking (once you stop ignoring the back lot like I did) * Great people-watching windows * Filling, legit good food * Friendly, attentive staff Cons: * No frosted mugs (we can fix this, I believe in you) * Prices... but also, apparently I just complain now #OldMan If you're cruising through Grove City and want solid food, a relaxed vibe, and a burger that might require a waiver... this is your spot. And - order some Ohio Condiments at Cleveland Ketchup Company. #FreeShipping #SupportLocal #BaldApproved #ReleaseTheKraken
