There was a 30-minute wait, which seemed fair for a busy Saturday night, but the hostess wasn't very personable or helpful about when we'd be seated. After about 25 minutes (we were told 20), I asked for an update. I stood at the front desk for a full minute while staff counted money--no greeting, eye contact, or acknowledgment at all. It was super awkward. When our table was ready, she just pointed to it from across the room, walked us over, dropped the menus, and left without saying a single word. Definitely not the kind of service you expect from someone at the front greeting customers. Thankfully, our server, Maya, was much more pleasant. She greeted us, got our order right, and the food arrived in about 15 minutes. The portions were huge, hot, fresh, and delicious. It was a bit pricey--about $60 after tip for two meals and an iced tea--but that's pretty typical for a casino. Their happy hour menu looks great, and we'd return to try the large selection of appetizers for a lighter meal. We took leftovers home, but next time we'd probably order less. read more

I almost walked out. We sat at the bar and were there a full 5 minutes. No one said, anything, nor did they even make eye contact. The bartender handed us menus and walked away. 5 minute later he asked if we were ready to order. I asked if we could order drinks first. He took hubs beer order and I ordered a tall Tito's soda. I've never seen Tito poured from the gun before,but the soda was flat. He poured another. The weakest drink I've ever had and honestly, I'm not sure it was Tito's. It didn't taste right. The bartender also leaned over the bar for the gun, filled someone's water and walked to the other end of the bar. He also yelled at a customer that he found the lid to her togo cup and tossed it on the bar. She had to get up from her table to get it. So unprofessional. Maybe he was new? Lunch was so freaking good. Hubs had Thai Noodles. He's not a fan of too much spice. I warned him. He ended up picking out the Thai chilies and said it was incredible, once he got his taste buds back. I had the most unexpected and phenomenal sandwich. Blackberry jam, barbecued brisket and cheese on the thickets delicious sourdough bread. It's on the menu as grilled cheese. I will order it every time. The onion rings were giant and so crispy! Pub Stop is a great place if you enjoy having a live band to listen to. The food is pretty tasty as well. I had the mushroom flatbread pizza and was not disappointed. Downside: even though they had the space, it is extremely hard to have conversions if you have a gathering or a party. So, if you want to socialize, I would find somewhere else to go to. read more

A frequent patron of the casino, but rarely served breakfast since it is served in the morning to 11am. Thought I would try the 3 egg omelet. The portion was small and dry. If it was a 3 egg, they would have had to come from a quail and not a chicken. I tried to substitute the potatoes for something else but they don't have anything. Cottage cheese would be nice for the health conscience customer. Portions were small. Lacked taste and the majority of the plate was taken up by the toast and potatoes. Not impressed. Nice spot at the Desert Diamond white tanks. Casual atmosphere with plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game. Burger was moist and very good. Mix of regular, curly, and sweet potato fries are fun. The real star is the Asian chicken salad. Fresh tasting, even the kale which I normally don't like brings a nice crunch. My first visit to the new Desert Diamond Casino on Northern and the 303 included breakfast at Pub Stop. I was greeted right away by a friendly hostess and had my choice of seating. My server came to my table after a very short wait. Service was very good. I ordered the breakfast special - 2 eggs my way, biscuits and gravy, and brisket slices. For $6.99! With coffee, tax and tip it was $13. That's a great deal, and the food was delicious. Brisket was sliced thin, about tge same as thick-cut bacon, and so it was just a bit more done than I'd have preferred but still delicious. I will definitely return. read more

We went this weekend to have breakfast, having glanced at the menu previously and knowing they do gluten free buns in burgers I took a chance that they might offer a decent gluten free breakfast. The choices were minimal with no bread which was disappointing... The server was aware and educated on celiac however and guided me into a decent breakfast. I had the cowboy omelet with no toast and he guided me away from the potatoes due to cross contamination possibility. The sausage was really good and husband said his breakfast a Benedict was Great! Our entire visit and my complete review can be summed up in a single theme: Shoe leather. We came here on a recommendation, and I'm convinced that the person who recommended this place is either a doppelgänger from another dimension, or he was at a different restaurant. But rather than just leave a bitchy review that won't really benefit anybody, I wanted to leave constructive suggestions. This restaurant is only two months old so there is a lot of runway ahead for them. My wife and I ordered the calamari (which was recommended) and the steak and frites (a classic dish, based on the French staple and served everywhere). So it's possible we missed this restaurant's "specialty" but this is also what the server recommended. The calamari was atrocious. On the verge of inedible. It was like chewing on a Levi's Jean belt from 1977. Tough as a shoe, tasteless, overcooked, and SUPER over salted. I've had better calamari at a carnival. This was abject failure. I will say the caper-dill dipping sauce was good. Suggestions: 1. Buy better quality calamari. Your supplier is giving you the dregs. 2. Once the calamari is older than a day or two, toss it. Sorry but that's the restaurant business. 5-day old calamari is an affront to cuisine of any kind. 3. Marinate the calamari but don't use too much lemon, which begins to "cook" it and can make it tough. 4. Fresh, fresh, fresh. With calamari it HAS to be fresh or not at all 5. Cook it for less time. On to the steak and frites: Flank steak is touchy. Cook it 1 or 2 minutes too long and it turns into jerky. This steak was overdone, super tough, full of silver and tendons, and flavorless. Completely devoid of any flavor. Just awful. And it's $33! The frites were UNDERdone so they had absorbed all the canola oil (super toxic) and they were cooked at too low a temperature which made them absorb even more oil. And don't slather my fries in MORE cheap oil mixed with garlic. Give me the option and warn me about it when I order. Suggestions: 1. Get a different supplier and buy a higher grade of flank steak 2. Marinate 3. Cook to 135 degrees and not a single digit more. 4. Always let flank steak rest at least 5 minutes 6. Cut it against the grain. Otherwise it's shoe leather. 7. Always trim the silver and the tendons from flank steak. Leaving it on makes it stringy and hard to cut. 8. Get rid of that awful "Hollandaise-chimichurri" sauce. Pick ONE because they dont go together. Also, hollandaise sauce on steak is awful. Ain't nobody got time for dat. 9. This is 2025. Ditch the canola for peanut oil or tallow. Raise your fryer temperature. Cook 30 seconds or so longer. Don't put garlic oil on the fries. Service: Ok, this is purely subjective so take it with a grain of salt. Our server actually asked if we were husband and wife!? He asked! You NEVER ask that. Talk about awkward. What if we're work associates, or siblings, or lovers, or cheaters, or whatever? No no no. THEN he asked for our last name and proceeded to use it for EVERY interaction. Every. Single. Time. He'd come to the table and start, "so Mr and Mrs ______, can I get you more water?" It was beyond annoying. I don't need to be buddies with my server. Don't ask me for my name. Whoever taught this and whoever created this policy (fire the operations manager) needs to be dragged across a field of rocks. The place was nice and is brand new. It's supposed to be a semi-nice, date-night kind of place but they blare RUSH and OZZY and obscure hard-rock blues songs, so I'm not sure what they're after or what the theme is. Overall I won't come back. It was an expensive meal and was terrible. I HATE being the complainer at the table because the poor server can't do much. So I didn't send it back. I should have but I e worked in restaurants for a long time and I know what can happen This place has some things to fix. I hope they do. Good luck! read more

I had to go to the front counter to get refills for our drinks because even though we had an empty glass on the edge of the table no one would stop to ask if we needed more. No one checked on us during our meal. When we were done we moved our plates to the side, clearly signaling we were done. Again no one came to our table. I had to flag our server down to order desert. We ordered the cheesecake.. nothing to do or prepare. We waited approximately 20 minutes. We finally decided to leave. I had to go find my server who was again at the front desk and ask for our ticket. When she brought the ticket it had the cheesecake on it. We tried steak frites. The steak was very tender and yummy. Especially with the chimichurri sauce. The pub chili was tasty. The focaccia bread that came with the chili actually tasted really bomb when dipped in the chimichurri sauce. The side of chipotle bacon mac was pretty good and some parts had a smidge of a kick but it was not that spicy. The asparagus was good but I wish it wasn't the super thick pieces. Friday morning breakfast, the Pub Stop is worth the drive. Our server, Sonia, was pleasant and professional, not intrusive. Our food was served hot. I enjoyed the Chorizo Sweet Potato egg breakfast. My husband and I loved his Brisket and Egg breakfast special, $6.99. The brisket is so tender and flavorful. Not that it's important, but coffee is served on a saucer and hot as it should be. Mimosa was $3 (only Monday through Friday with their breakfast menu). It is a bar setting with TVs and music (the music was old school dance music). Wanted to share our experience at Pub Stop, located in the Desert Diamond Casino in the west valley, right off Northern and the 303. We've visited a couple of times, and I have to say, we've loved it every single time! The food is seriously delicious, especially the specialty appetizers and flatbread pizzas--they're a must-try! Plus, the service has been fantastic on both visits. I have a few friendly suggestions that could really help out: it would be awesome to include a drink menu at the table when guests are seated. We received the food menus, but we weren't quite sure what beers were on tap or what specialty drinks you offer. Also, we totally missed out on the outdoor seating--maybe mention that in the main area if it's available and staffed? We only discovered the lovely patio by chance when we were on the casino floor! Another fun idea might be to mix up the TV content a bit. It would be great to see something like FailArmy or theCHIVE for those of us who aren't as into sports. And how about offering Keno gambling at the table? We're really happy to have this gem in the west valley; it's perfect for a fun date night with good food and a little gambling. While I did have some good expectations of this place due to the fact it's located inside the brand new Desert Diamond Casino in Waddell I thought it would be more sports bar type and not added sit down dining options. Today when we arrived to check out the entire casino we made our way to Pub Stop. We were met with multiple hostesses ready to work. We saw right away while there is a large bar with TV's it is also offers sit down dining inside and out. We opted for the bar. We were instantly greeted with smiles by a wonderful, attentive and friendly bartender. Unfortunately they dont offer sour beers so I settled for Angry Orchard as that is the closest thing. No other ciders either, bummer. They have quite a few beers on tap as well as bottles. They offer wine and stronger cocktails as well. They have quite a good menu with not only appetizers, but shareables, flatbreads, burgers and even a surf and turf option that we decided to share. I was expecting your basic steak on a plate with cheap shrimp and boring presentation; again because it's "bar food", but man I was wrong in every way. Not only did it come out looking delicious; it was presented beautifully and just the right amount for the two of us to share. When I say every bite of that stake was flavorful, juicy and NO FAT scouts honor. It was so hard to share ha ha. Even the broccolini was steamed perfectly and not soggy. The garlic mashed purée was mmmmm. We thought prices were a bit up there at first, but if everything that comes out is like our dinner tonight I'd pay that! We can't wait to go back. read more
