Upshot brake shop is my favorite spot to hang out for tea. I tried a croffle this time and really enjoyed it. Always have a small but great menu and great service. Great place to have good sunlight while you drink your coffee/tea!

Cute corner coffee shop. Food and coffee are outstanding and staff is friendly and helpful. Parking can be a little difficult but there is usually plenty of street parking nearby if you can't find a spot in the parking lot.

I love Upshot!!! It is one of my favorite coffee shops in town. I live a few minutes away so I love to walk there in the morning. Not only do they have amazing coffee but they are also dog friendly which is great for my pup. She loves coming and getting a pup cup. It has a great ambiance. I would love to bring my laptop and work from here at some point.

This is the first coffee shop I've visited in a while that actually seemed glad to prepare a pour-over. Great experience and the staff did great work. Their workflows are quick and efficient. The food and drink are top notch as well. The bagel sandwich was fantastic.

The cappuccino was excellent! I had a delicious breakfast sandwich on gluten free toast. We love the reuse of the old garage!

I came into the coffee shop for the first time today and it was such a cool little area. I love that they have doors in the garage. Is that lift up during the summertime. It's definitely unique. They only have one door that brings you into the location and once you walk in then it's a little gift shop. You walk into the left and it's a coffee shop which is very cleaned in the ambience is very quiet and relaxing. They have more than just coffee they have smoothies, quiches, and much more breakfast items

I'm so glad to be close to this establishment. I and those I've brought have really enjoyed the atmosphere and the drinks. I hope to try the food in the future. Staff is always friendly and I like the featured employee and their drink display. Found it gave good suggestions I wouldn't have thought of. They have cute branded apparel and stickers as well! Critiques: Biggest size is 12 or 16oz I think, so more small batch. Also the drain in I'm guessing the bathroom needs looked at as it emotes a strong sewer gas smell that is wrong when you enter the building. Note: Parking is limited but if you're in and out quick street parking isn't so bad.

Got the new biscuits and gravy sammy! I'm from CA and would 100% make a trip to come back. With only drinking black coffee, they had a great pour over with a pomegranate, dark chocolate, rum roast. As far as the service it was great! The baristas were super nice and helpful when I had way too many questions!

I have visited this coffee shop several times and that's saying a lot especially since I don't normally drink coffee. LOL! I don't mind a nice sweet flavored cappuccino or latte and I really love a nice London Fog and Matcha Latte, all of which are done right here. I've had several different breakfast options and have enjoyed them all although they do have a problem overcooking their eggs. If you ever get a chance to try their zucchini bread when available, don't pass it up! They have a self service refrigerator to purchase bone broth and different juices, such as green juice that are great options, but on the expensive side. Service is adequate here. Outdoor seating is nice and the interior seating is plentiful. It's nice to see students sitting here having a coffee and doing homework. Nice hang out place and also great for solo diners. I often bring a book while enjoying a hot beverage.

Upshot is now one of my favorite coffee spots! Sucks they are a bit out of my way, but totally worth going! Bright and spacious atmosphere! Friendly staff! I got their regular black Hot Coffee and their CHARCOAL LATTE. They were perfect for my taste. They have many different drink choices other than coffee: Coffee, Teas, Juices, and Smoothies. I also ordered their breakfast burrito, which was okay... but definitely would like to try their other food items. I can't wait to go back! Notes: They have their own parking lot -- one way parking! If you are coming from the south side (Lindenwood Univ. area), drive slowly when you are close by.

I was excited to find a quant study spot with coffee, ample seating, that also has munchies. Upshot didn't disappoint. Spacious, well light (tons of natural light), and off the beaten path PLUS wi-fi for those of us who want to get some work done. The coffee was decent My steak was dry on the breakfast sandwich but it worked out. Too tender of steak would make the sandwich mushy. They also sell cold press juices. Yum o. And the customer service? Well, you can't beat it. This is my new fav study spot. SHOP LOCAL!!!

I have been to this coffee shop numerous times with friends and it is always a pleasant experience. This shop is a delightful atmosphere, quiet place to study with a lot of natural light. Unique idea as the place used to be a car service shop. Coffee is delicious, I also got the breakfast burrito which was very tasty. Will definitely continue to come here on a regular basis!

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

I felt as if we were kind of rushed when it came to eating, got the bill handed to us within two minutes of us getting our food, lol. No big deal, just have never had that happen before. I got the eggs Benedict and unfortunately I was not a fan of the hollandaise sauce. Salad was fine. Second time we came it was a wonderful visit! Came on a busy weekend morning and was still met with super friendly service, we loved our server and she was so kind. Sat on the patio, note to self: maybe try to sit inside during the summer time. Patio gets hot and humid FAST. This time I got the pesto chicken power bowl- LOVED it. I tried the donut holes which were phenomenal, too. We also got the biscuits, my mom loved them- they were a little dry for my taste. Still a great experience, however. Don't know what was wrong the first time but I'm glad I gave it a second chance.

I'd suggest that people were there to visit downtown St. Charles, or whatever it's called, which has a certain old-timey charm to it, but everything else was closed--presumably until later in the day, but who knows. That fentanyl is a menace. Parking could be a pain, if it's not the wee hours of the morning on a weekend, and you're not ambulatory enough to walk from a block or two over, and yet you're going to get essentially the equivalent of a milkshake and a donut. Inside is rustic, inviting and larger than you'd think, with an upstairs area that I didn't bother to explore, due to lack of curiosity. We had a larger group and ended up pushing a few smaller tables together, plus a few chairs we borrowed from other tables. No one seemed to mind. The key is not to ask first. That mentality will take you far in both the world of finance and dating. I'm kind of over ordering food from coffee shops, where they're obviously just throwing something in the microwave and charging you $10 for it, but I needed something to eat. I'd just gone for a run. Their burrito looked like the textbook definition of cultural appropriation, but it also looked like it might not be half bad. I had their equivalent of an Egg McMuffin, called Ron's Breakfast Sandwich, or something to that effect. When I hear the name Ron, I of course think of Sasso from Carlito's Way, but that probably says more about me than anything else. I'm assuming he didn't have anything to do with this. Essentially, this was a store-bought English muffin, a surprisingly generous and delicious helping of cheddar cheese, a few slices of seemingly prepackaged black forest ham and a fried egg. It was fine for what it was. Could the egg have been salted, could the muffin have been buttered and could the ham been an actual slice of Canadian bacon, or even better, American bacon? Sure, but I went into this with low expectations. The cheddar was melty and delicious, and weirdly abundant, but processed American cheese would have been more fitting for this kind of sandwich. You'd think a guy named Ron wouldn't object to processed foods. The caramel frappe I had was amazing. I got it with whole milk and whipped cream. I didn't bother to check and see if they charge you extra for whipped cream, which is the kind of crap some of these places have been known to pull. I got the 16 oz instead of the 20 oz, but it was probably still enough to take a day off the end of my life (when I don't need it as much anyway fwiw). Sometimes, when a food item tastes good enough, you can just tell it's not good for you, and that was the case with this drink. It was decidedly rich. I'm never in this part of town, and if I were, it would be at night, natch, but if things ever get to the point where they're clearly trending in that direction, I might start stopping by on the reg and getting that caramel frappe just to speed along the process of my demise.
