This restaurant is located within the Long Island Marriott. The overall atmosphere was casual with a classy side. Like some people like myself were in jeans and sweats but others were more dressed up. The food was delicious. I ordered the meat and cheese platter for an appetizer and it was fresh and delicious. I also ordered the smash burger and the it was well seasoned and the fries were delicious. Service was excellent. Very well organized and kind and friendly. Even though it was packed when I went I recurved my food and drinks in a timely manner and my waitress checked in on me a couple of times. I would definitely come here again even if I wasn't planning on staying in the Marriott. Only downside is drinks were a little pricey. 15 for a glass of processco inside the highest I've ever seen but slightly over what I was expecting to pay.

I attended a Yelp event here a while back which was fabulous. However in the real world of a typical experience 3 stars is the max. This restaurant/lounge is not just "in" the hotel but it's kind of an extension of the lobby, so in many ways this really detracts from any hope of a unique ambiance. Parts of the dining area actually bear resemblance to a cafeteria. We've found on several occasions the lounge area way too brightly lit and/or with too much air conditioning, and received conflicting responses: one staff member tells us there's nothing they can do as it's on a timer; another time the barmaid found a way to make an adjustment for our comfort. The food is very good, the breakfast buffet is excellent, high quality and variety and a super deal. Lunch and dinner menus I find kind of limited. But, we have enjoyed everything we have eaten there. Service is seriously lacking. From sitting ignored at a side table in a virtually empty lounge while three employees behind the bar engage in their own conversation; to witnessing multiple employees involved in a group project of trying to fix an error on someone's bill while the rest of the patrons are abandoned; to a gaggle of uniformed staff milling around with eyes averted till I had to get out of my chair and locate a manager asking if we can please get waited on. We seem to be on our own most of the time. Nobody checks. This is reflective of bad management and lack of training. I think many of the employees are hotel workers, one day they carry luggage, the next day they bus tables. So they are not properly trained or experienced in food service. So, good food and great cocktails, but unless you're within velvet ropes for a private party, don't expect much more.

A Great restaurant celebrating local ingredients tucked away in the Marriott with Impeccable service complimenting a well executed menu which is always a big plus. A big Shout out to John, the manager of the Crop and Kettle. Full disclosure, John is a Yelp bud of mine and this review is totally unbiased. Now with that said Thank you John for giving me the 411 on the restaurant, your knowledge of your menu is extraordinary and your hospitality and generosity is second to none, you're Awesome! The lunch menu is simple which is a good thing. I hate being overwhelmed by hundreds of options. Our group ordered the Chef signature and grilled chicken sandwich. We also had the blackened skirt steak flatbread. Wow! The chef signature sandwich was delicious! My friend and I both had this sandwich, the sirloin steak was cooked medium rare and was juicy and certifiably Awesome! I loved the carmalized onions and the house steak sauce, the sandwich roll was soft and made this chef signature sandwich worthy of it's name. My buddy's grilled chicken sandwich was moist and seasoned perfectly. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing and peppers worked really well together The only hiccup if you want to call it that was the blackened skirt steak flatbread. One of the main ingredients is bleu cheese. Since bleu cheese Is by nature strong and pronounced it would have helped if the chef would have used less of it since it masked the taste of the skirt steak. If you're a lover of bleu cheese this is perfect for you. I would have rather it be a little more subtle and less over powering. We had the privilege to sample the world famous New England clam chowder and duck confit rangoon. The chowder was thick, lush and full of clams, it was so good it made you want to order a pot of this stuff. The duck confit rangoon was crunchy and delicious and a winner paired with the mango chutney sauce. Great wine, beer and cocktail selections which I heard is delicious and fun to watch make since they utilize smoke in some of the cocktail preparations. The Crop and Kettle can handle private groups large and small and customize an event to your liking. In a nutshell this place has it all! Plenty of parking, a spacious and inviting dining area, a world class service staff that is Aces in my book, creative/inventive drinks and of course delicious food. Bookmark and go to this place, you can Thank me later!

The decoration was superb! I love the inside decoration and lighting. It also has multiple tvs broadcasting what is trending at the moment. Their drink selection was great. They had all I want for beer: Stella, Guiness, and Bud Light. However, I got a try of their Pinot noir. It was great! The food in here was amazing. Definitely, I would come back here again to chill and to have a great time!

Work visit staying at the hotel. Looks: very nice, pretty modern...though not enough barriers to help with the noise from larger tables Food: taste very good, Soy Salmon, only bad part was presentation, see images of dessert served on tiny saucer with hot plate hanging over. Service: had to get up after host sat me down to remind them to send someone over. Lag time to clear the appetizer dishes and getting staffers attention very lacking. Overall: typical hotel food, probably worthy of just ordering room service instead of dining room.

I was excited when I received an invite through Pulse Magazine to check out the grand opening celebration at Crop and Kettle. This restaurant is located inside the Marriot Hotel right by the Nassau Collisuem. I arrived a couple minutes before 5 and was immediately checked in. I was a little nervous because I never received a confirmation email, but it was smooth. They had a few outside vendors sampling alcohol. They had a wine person, beer, and a liquor station but I was really happy with the drinks they were making at the bar. I started off with a Long Island Iced Tea and then drank a couple of beers afterwards. The iced tea drink was solid and the beer I tried (brewed for Crop and Kettle, as it had a Crop and Kettle tap on it) hit the spot. The food at this grand opening celebration was on point. They had a few different stations set up throughout the restaurant. They had a person making fresh pizza and mozzarella cheese. This was excellent. They had a station where you could try dinosaur short rib with a cauliflower mash, which was fantastic. I am a big short rib fan and this was solid. They had another station where you could try some type of a jambalaya type dish with duck sausage in it. This was also very good. In addition to the stations they had a table set up with various breads, salads, and cheeses. I didn't grab from this table, as I was much more excited by the hot foods. They also had a table set up with 4 different types of finger foods, which were a lobster roll (good but not my favorite), a mushroom thingy (I didn't try this), a steak sandwich (I loved this ) and a turkey meatball slider (fantastic). In addition to all this they had people coming around with passed appetizers, such as steak, duck wontons, and oysters. I tried these and thought that they were all very good. The service throughout the event was absolutely fantastic. This was a lovely experience and I think that this spot did a fantastic job with this event. If I ever find myself looking for a place to grab food before heading to the coliseum I would absolutely come back. Thanks to Pulse magazine for the invite and to Crop and Kettle for hosting such a fantastic event.

    Crop & Kettle pilsner WhoooHaa!

Lovely posh styled hotel bar with a few good handles. Tempted to go for the Bluepoint Toasted ale, but bartender twisted arm to go for their special pilsner blend: Crop & Kettle Wheat ale. Not bad easy going, crisp, refreshing and not overly hoppy. Paired it with a crock of Bluepoint French Onion soup very delicious. Would go back to try some of their other menu items.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend Crop and Kettle's grand opening event. It was a lovely time, and I was thoroughly impressed with everything they had to offer. When we arrived there were stations set up of all different kinds of samplings from their menu. At the first station, they offered Lobster Rolls, Portabello bites, Turkey Meatball Sliders, and little Steak Sandwiches. I tried a Lobster Roll and a Meatball Slider and thought they were delicious. The second station I visited was the pizza station. They had three types of pizza (Mexican chicken, flank steak topped pizza, and margarita). The Mexican and the Margarita were great. I actually went back a couple times for the margarita. The chef behind this station was also hand rolling little mozzarella balls, which was also great to try. The third station I visited was serving Dinosaur Short Rib with mashed cauliflower and cherry tomato halves. I didn't eat the short rib, but I loved the cauliflower. The fourth station included a seafood paella. This was very flavorful. There was also a cheese station, wine station, whiskey station, beer station set up, in addition to an open bar, and passed appetizers. Everything I tried was delicious and wouldn't hesitate to order for dinner. The last thing I wanted to point out was the service. It was evident that the management put a lot of time and effort into their hiring process. Everyone was not only friendly, but incredibly professional and hardworking. I was really impressed with the waitstaff and the bartenders. I know it was an opening event, so this review might not fully reflect an experience one would have dining in for lunch or dinner, but I'm optimistic from the quality of the food and service that anyone stopping in for a bite should enjoy themselves. Thanks for having us, Crop and Kettle! We can't wait to come back!

Clam Chowder and Bay Shrimp Salad Sliders

Good food and a fairly nice place to eat inside the Marriott. Pretty good size bar with wide open area with lots of seating and tables to eat and grab a drink. Several large TV's to watch while having dinner if you'd like. I had the Clam Chowder and Bay Shrimp Salad Sliders. I liked them both. Better than normal hotel food. Also reasonably priced. This was definitely a little lively and loud for Thursday night so don't plan on a quiet and intimate dinner. Actually when dining solo and traveling for work the noise was just fine. Service was a little slow but wasn't that bad to be a problem. The manager actually came up to Make sure I was being served as I sat a little out of the way to watch the games on TV. Nice touch.

While the HH wine/beer are $5, small bites are sparse and intermittently served. Its a renovated pretty space but service seem to be really erratic and non existent. Extra star because pizzas were delicious when available. Theres no service in the lounge, you have to go to bar tp get drinks or food ordered. Not a very relaxing experience. Too bad cause the space is very pretty

I'm so loving this spot right here inside of the Marriott Long Island Hotel. Their breakfast buffet is pretty darn amazing. They have plump French toast with regular and sugar free syrup, corned beef hash hooked up like mama nem used to do it (includes onions, bell peppers and seasoning lol), pork and turkey sausage links, the best bacon I've had at a hotel, scrambled eggs, real oatmeal not the instant packaged ones, a fresh fruit bar with sweet fresh cut pineapples, strawberries, melons and more along with cottage cheese, various types of breads and pastries. The omelet station is my favorite because I get all of the fresh veggies in it (spinach, tomatoes, onions, green and red peppers and mushrooms), with egg whites. Sometimes I'll have her throw in a lil meat like bacon, turkey sausage, and ham with cheddar cheese. They also have a variety of cheeses; you can choose from like mozzarella, blue, Gouda, cheddar, white American or regular American. It's so delicious and I DO TIP MY SERVERS AND HOUSEKEEPERS VERY WELL. They smile from ear to ear when they see me coming LOL but the service is exemplary. The only thing is that the breakfast buffet items don't change much so if you're here for the long haul, like me, be prepared to eat pretty much the same thing from the buffet or you can order from the menu. We Elite members can also go to the concierge lounge to have breakfast and also partake of the evening socials for free as an alternative. It's on the 11th floor and you have to put your enhanced room key card in the slot to get on that floor. Overall, the food and service is awesome and Diana is my girl, great hostess! I also recently learned that one of the Food Network Star contestants is the chef here at this restaurant. She actually made my first omelet and I didn't even recognize her as much as I watch that show. Shame on me. But that sista can throw down. She made a cheesecake display for guests and handed me a cheesecake pop and I was outdone. It was the absolute best cheesecake I've ever had. I'd recommend you stop by for breakfast and even dinner. Their chocolate chip bread pudding is da bomb!

Came here for a Yelp Elite event and had a great time. Their burrata is awesome and we also had their chicken flatbread. The drinks though - hello! They have a smoked old fashioned that makes it into our top 10. Can't wait to go back for their manhattans. They also have a purple haze drink made with hemp flower which is pretty cool. Always love when you see places experimenting. Walked over to see Volta afterward!

I was a little unsure about sitting at the bar alone at a spot I'd never been to before, but saw there was an outdoor table in the semi shade that I could grab (as long as I was fine with sipping beer out of a plastic glass). In retrospect I should've asked about specials, but I just went with my go-to Heineken which set me back $7. I wasn't mad about it. The bartender was friendly, though I did feel like I kind of interrupted a personal conversation she was having with a man at the bar who seemed to be a local. Can't speak to the food but their menu did look good. Not a bad stop, overall. I feel very recovered.
