First, we ordered drinks, I had the Winter Margarita, my wife and one our friends had the Winter Martini and a beer for the other. We skipped on apps since we had desert waiting at home. For dinner I had the Tuscan Chicken Panini and the Grilled Chicken Panini, French Dip and a burger for the others. All the food came out in a timely manner, and we enjoyed our meals, delicious and plentiful. My wife and I brought home our leftovers and had them the next day and was still good. Had dinner with friends at BK Sweeney's on Saturday night. Shout out to the entire staff for a great experience. Bartender was a nice guy who was able to make an espresso martini on request and the maitre d had an outgoing personality who added to the experience. In terms of food, everything was great. I went 2 nights ago and the customer service was BEYOND rude! One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a. restaurant , the food was absolutely terrible and I ended up having food poisoning the following day. I also got the wrong food delivered to my table and informed them yet it was still on the bill on the receipt at the end of the night to where I had the owner come and who was also very disrespectful and seemed very incompetent to be an owner, treated me with disrespect as I explained to him that I simply just wanted something removed to them the sheep because I didn't order it, and he escalated the situation. Love B.K Sweeney's BUT stopped going because they hit you with a Covid 3-5-4.0% tax when using a credit card... That is on top of the regular almost 9% tax. Therefore, not paying almost 13% tax to eat with a family of 4-8 people. Plus, we like to tip 20-25%. So, before we sit I'm at a 33% - 38% tax? Not doing that... We usually go with immediate family and/or extended family too. I'm organized with my spending so my card tracks everything and provides data to ensure financial goals are being met. Therefore, even though B.K is my Sons favorite restaurant, not going anymore. It's a lesson on doing what's best for your family. Saying no to additional taxes! I joined 2 friends for brunch. They were already seated when I got there. It took forever to get a server to bring me a menu and order a drink. The service never got better. After what seemed like a 10 minute wait for my drink, it finally arrived. No smile from the server, no nothing. I had steak and eggs. It came with a small order of fries. I have to admit, their food is quite good. The steak was cooked medium rare, the eggs were fresh tasting and the fries were hot. If the service had even come close to the food quality this could have been a 4 or 5 star review. Lastly, our table was never bussed. The restaurant manager that welcomed us into the restaurant stated that his staff was just preparing to open for lunch. But he was most kind to afford us seating before their formal opening. The restaurant has a traditional sports bar pub ambiance that is welcoming, cozy, and comfortable. The traditional wood bar area has comfortable high top chair seating along with a substantial selection of domestic, import and craft beers. Several flat screens are throughout the restaurant for easy viewing of popular daily sporting events. The menu has many favorable selections that include modern American comfort food classics. The laid-back atmosphere delivers an excellent service staff, delicious menu dishes along with your classic solid bar grub. Where else can you say about enjoying eating J. Gals gourmet mac 'n cheese while watching your favorite sports team in lively Garden City sports bar? Overall, the cozy B.K. Sweeny's restaurant has left the best impressions! The bar experience is excellent - bartenders, who are most if not all male, are personable and will keep the conversation going- if you want- so you feel welcome. they give you a good pour and are always pleased to take your food order if you want to eat there. The chef still had this thing about cooking potatoes dark brown, but overall the food is good to very good, and they sure know how to cook a steak to requested temperature. Major points there. Good steak too. The Sunday brunch is highly recommended! Generous and delicious entrees, many brunch classics, and all include bottomless brunch cocktails; juice; AND coffee; plus a nice big hunk of fresh coffee cake. Very reasonable brunch prices. Bad night last night on a Thursday night. Our apps took a good 25 mins since we ordered, and my 3 year olds mini cheeseburgers and fries were completely raw in the middle. I didn't send them back because I am afraid. You get a cook in trouble and lord knows what they can do to your food so I managed to scrape enough together from the edges of the two mini burgers so he can eat some of it. Fish tacos were subpar and a tad too fishy but sometimes you get that with swordfish. And my shepherds pie although I liked it was extremely sloppy. My husbands pork bbq sandwich was so dry he said it sucked the moisture out of his mouth. My French dip was utterly tasteless and unremarkable, as was the au jus. BKs is my go-to burger spot! Delicious and generous. KC loves their Wisconsin burger with cheddar cheese and bacon. I like the burger with blue cheese and mushrooms. Pair with a cold craft beer. Came here for Sunday brunch, and the restaurant decor was OK. They also offered indoor and outdoor seating. This place is a little upscale- the dress code requires gentlemen to dress in a button down or regular shirt. No tank tops/cut-off shirts allowed. The parking is good. It is a parking lot located at the back of the restaurant, and as a result of that the hostess area is also in the back. The service was good and our waitress was nice. The food was subpar. My partner order the French toast. The serving size is good, but the French toast didn't taste fresh- it had a similar taste to the frozen brands you can buy at the grocery store. I ordered the eggs Benedict- it was just OK. Not the best I've ever had and not the worst. The side order of bacon was probably the best thing there along with the crumble cake you get in the beginning. Pros: unlimited mimosas, bloody Mary's and screwdrivers. BKSUG definitely took me by surprise...in the best way. I live locally and don't frequent the bars or eateries along Franklin Avenue. I visited last night with my fellow yelp bestie Brandon. L and he really never steers me wrong with new spots. When we arrived the entrance patio was decorated with adorable Valentine's Cupid decor. This theme was carried out throughout this "cheers" style pub. I'm normally not a fan of pubs but I really enjoyed this spot. There were a lot of regulars getting together to enjoy sports and beers. We started off with a nice Old Fashioned. B.L suggested we order the Calamari and I'm so glad he did ! I'm very picky and don't eat seafood from places that are not well.. SEAFOOD restaurants. Their calamari ... was PERFECTION. Fresh fish aroma, thickly cut, nice lightly fried batter. No bad aftertaste of oil. I couldn't stop eating ! Next we moved on to Round 2 where we feasted on Boneless Buffalo Wings a pint glass Blue moon and B.L is low key bougie, so he ordered a Manhattan. The wings were pretty good, considering the kitchen was closing. They were served in " Wenzel" sauce. Our Bartender J.P was the best. He shared with us the special ingredient to these wings. The wings were not drenched to B.L's liking, so he doctored up a special sauce of his own mixing Crystal and Wenzel hot sauce. Maybe next time B won't be too shy to ask for the wings " Extra Wet". They were Perfection ! This place also keeps an extensive stash of different kinds of Hot Sauce ! Cholola, Crystal, Tabasco and our new dear friend Wenzel ! The Key to my heart is Hot Sauce. Ahhhhh it's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you without a doap review to Yelp to. (Yes I did write that. Morgan Chase) was our bartender a REALLY cool dude with clean fingernails who didn't have to Google how to make my drink. Just asked "what brand do you want?" - that's a knowledgeable guy right there- Makers btw... The drinks were great and M. wasted no time being tipsy. She weak. Love coming here. Especially for brunch. The food here is always delicious and flavorful there's never really any complaint that I have. They have a fairly large menu so there is always something for everyone to eat. The hamburgers are great and pilled high. Their French fries are crispy and never soggy. They have a full bar which is a nice option to have. On Saturdays and Sundays they have brunch, bottomless mimosas. Who doesn't love bottomless mimosas. If you go with a large group of people I would suggest either going early or before the dinner rush that usually starts around 5:30-6. There is parking behind the restaurant and that's my best suggestion. If you go for your birthday they even get you your own brownie sundae. This is a nice place to come with anyone. read more

We didn't have anything that was considered bar food and all was fabulous. The Shepard's pie and the chicken pot pie (which I am a stickler for and have tried in many places). The chicken pot pie was simply delicious. There were many huge chunks of white chicken meat....and I mean MANY pieces of chicken meat. They didn't skimp. One of my favorite standbys when I can't make a decision on a restaurant and want some good comfort food without traveling. Great wraps, salads and burgers. The daily specials are always good. Order from the specials menu if you see something you might like because you will. Lobster roll is overflowing with fresh sweet lobster meat. These guys do sweet potato fries the way they should be done. Something as simple as a chicken pot pie is a good choice and better than most. Unlimited steak night is a can't miss. Quality sliced steak made the way you like it and it keeps coming without you having to be embarrassed asking for more. Drinks are generous. Service is attentive. Great brunch ! This joint was packed both times we've come here--granted, both were weekend evenings. Tonight, we got a table within minutes although it did take awhile to get our spinach dip appetizer...which was ok but not amazing. The entrees were worth the wait. My chicken pot pie was a revelation--big chunks of chicken breast, potatoes and veggies in a rich, creamy white sauce topped with buttery, flaky puffed pastry--delightful comfort food on a chilly winter's night! The dish was large enough for two meals so I took half of it home. BF had a bacon cheeseburger with perfectly cooked (tempura?) battered sweet potato fries. The fried pickle slice that came with his burger was a nice touch. We used an Amazon voucher and they gave us a bit of a hard time redeeming it (cannot use phone app--must be printed) and accidentally charged us for a beer we never ordered or received, so minus a star for that. read more
