He is a friendly guy thats very knowledgeable and procificient at his job His explanations of the system. were thorough and clear, Gary worked expeditiously and cleaned up afterwards. BEWARE OF OLYMPIC AIRE SERVICES, INC. My 8 year old Bryant central air was not working. Olympic AIRE SERVICE INC sent 2 service techs came out to check why it was not working. After hooking up their gages in 5 minutes they said my expansion valve was not working causing my A/C to go off on high head pressure. That was lie #1. I said well replace the expansion valve with a new one as my A/C was still under the Bryant 10 year warranty. LIE #2....they said parts for my A/C was not available due to the kind of refrigerant I had. LIE #3....they said I had to replace the whole A/C with a new one estimate at $13,850 . They left...... I called H & j HEARING AND COOLING LLC as my daughter recommended them. After hooking up his gages Eugene said my high pressure compressor safty was bad. After ordering a replacement Eugene came back and replaced the safety switch under the warranty.. the A/C ran for a short period of time so Eugene came back and said the capacitor was bad which he had on his truck and replace it with a new one. The A/C came right on and after that work my A/C has been working perfectly. Total cost was $560 versus Olympic Are repair estimate of over $13,000. Here it is two years later and we still receive outstanding service from Olympic Aire. I'll start with the kitchen vent I mentioned previously. The configuration of the vent before this work was air would flow through carbon filters and back into the kitchen. I wanted to send the air to the outside. Done and two years later the vent works great! Moving on to this year and a second property that needed its HVAC assessed. This property already had it's unit replaced twice so this would be number three. Rick came in presented all the options. We went with a new outside and inside unit. Needless to say, it was a great investment, professional install, and excellent service. Had a small issue just recently but service was prompt. Back to the original property (property #1) noticed warm air blowing this morning. Called up the office, had an appt in two hours and fixed in 2 minutes! Can't beat that! Started with maintenance agreement. Price is great considering it's twice a year they'll spruce things up. Asked what was possible to get rid of the noise my oil furnace produces (it's a vertical unit in my living room); they suggested to flip it horizontal and move it down to crawlspace. Quote was a fair price (I think), and the work done was excellent/tidy. They ran a full test and checkout. Now I have no noise, and everything is done to a quality standard. read more

Talk about getting hosed down like a stray dog, that's how I feel right now. There is no disparaging remarks against Allan our assigned tech, he was on point and he had to tow the company line. Now about the individual human beings in and, around the office who set those prices and establish business acumen, they are unmerciful when dealing with customers not privy to the inner workings of their HVAC systems. Let me explain, we as consumers are not keen on certain complex items within our homes, we need just a little guidance from these companies concerning repairs, maintenance, replacement and, upkeep, all essential task for any homeowner. I bear the bulk of responsibility for overreacting in fear and, trepidation which Olympic aire gladly took advantage of. I get it, these companies are in business to make money, loot, dividends etc. But, good grief do I have to pay for all their kid's college tuition really! I digress. Honestly to everyone reading this review my advice to you all is research on google and YouTube for what repairs or maintenance you may need then call more then one contractor so you can get the best price and service available. I choose this contractor because they installed a condenser and a hot heater coil on top of that they diagnosed a problem I had with the AC over the phone because they didn't want to charge me a service call fee walking me thru the steps until it was repaired, can you believe that! Well that company in its pass iteration no longer exists it's all about the battle for filthy lucre now. My other advice is for those who can, take some HVAC courses at your local trade schools or community colleges cutting out these middlemen and saving yourselves loads of cash. Weekend service call $175 install blower inducer assembly $586. All the previous contractors that charge me a service call fee would waive said fee if hired to do the repairs but, not olympic aire I was charged for both. And on another note we ask for the service plan which we would gladly purchase if made available to us, after saying they would reach out to us once all repairs were completed, nothing but silence no call no email nada, the old saying is true "take the money and run". read more

I highly recommend this company as they will always rate A+ for my services. I had just bought a new energy savings thermostat a week before Easter. I had a friend install it and it worked for a couple of days. On Thursday I woke up and the house was cold and the temperature continued to drop. I panic and call Olympic Aire before 8. I got their answering service and left a message. I was so happy it was Mike S. to called me back since he was the person who put my heat pump in back in 2017. I explained the problem and he said he could be there between 10 and 12 which was fantastic because I was going out of town on Good Friday. In explaining to Mike what I thought it may have been turned into something else that lasted 2 hours. Mike was patient and determined to get me up and running. He even did my summer maintenance on my air conditioner that I had scheduled for the following week. I really trust this company to the fullest per my 7 years with them. KUDOS to Mike S! The first floor HVAC outside was down. I called Olympic Aire and asked for a sharp and experienced technician because a neighbor already decided basement coils needed to be cleaned with a new filter installed, and had replaced the outside capacitor without luck. The technician said to replace the main board after a few minutes of testing. The neighbor bought the board, installed it and the HVAC is now working. Nice people, very smart technician. They're now my Go-To HVAC company. read more

They were great - the office team was great at calling me back, getting me scheduled within a few days, and answering my questions. Mike, the technician, was ontime, diagnosed the issue quickly (even correcting the mis-diagnosis I had recieved from another company earlier) and communicated with me through the whole process. I needed an entirely new HVAC system; Rick gave a thorough explanation of what my home actually required, ensuring I understood the reasons why. So far so good! We called Olympic Aire and the customer service rep was very friendly and sent a technician out the same day within three hours after we told them our heat was out. Tony is the technician that was sent inspect the issue (fee was competitive for the consultation) a look at our HVAC system when our heat went out in our single family home. He was very nice, professional and seem very experienced. He walked us through the entire process and confirmed what the issue was with our unit. He removed the part, placed the order for the part and plans to return in 3-5 days to install the part. The quote was priced competitively with other companies. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and neighbors. I will update once the install is completed. Update: When checking on the status of the part, the receptionist was again very friendly and accommodating. The installation of the new part was a success. Tony was quick and efficient when he returned to complete the repair with the new part. He even set the thermostats back for us. He was again very friendly and professional. Our AC went out during July 4th weekend...in DC. I called OA with an emergency request and they sent Tim out the same day. He was on time, professional, took every safety and health precaution possible, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. They were honest and transparent about the costs. Rick and his entire team are top tier. My realtor referred me to Olympic Aire Services for a 1950 Cape Cod I purchased. The upstairs was insufferably hot, despite a brand new HVAC system installed during a renovation. Rick arrived early for our appointment and listened to my issues. He then embarked on a detailed inspection of the home's HVAC system and ducts. Unfortunately, Rick didn't have good news. While the HVAC was sufficient for my home, the ducts were never designed to carry cold air, only heat. We spoke more about my comfort wishes and then Rick mapped out a plan of action to address the extreme summer heat in the near term, but also a long term solution to providing me year round comfort. The first phase was the installation of an LG Art Cool system. Rick's team was on time and completed the work on schedule. Rick came out himself to follow up on some hunches he had regarding the duct work under the house (which wasn't inspected because I had access blocked during his initial visit). Rick called me with some updates to his initial recommendations and gave me realistic expectations. Not long after installation the system stopped working. Rick had his team back out and they quickly determined a defect existed in the couplings that carried coolant. His team spent 6 hours troubleshooting and repairing the issue and refused to leave until the system was running and had cooled the upstairs to my satisfaction. This level of customer service is found infrequently, but fortunately is the way Rick conducts business at Olympic Aire. I've referred two friends to them and plan to use them to complete the duct work updates to being the comfort I want to my house. read more

We were hoping to be able to get our old AC unit through this cooling season. Knowing we had to replace soon we received two different quotes for replacement of our central AC only. Olympic Aire came highly recommended by a close friend and two other people. Rick came out earlier this summer to give us a quote. His quote beat the competitor (that I've been doing business with for 4 years) by about $600. Again we hoped to be able to hold off until next spring. No such luck. I called Rick on Monday, August 6th and said it was time. 48 hours later we have a brand new Carrier unit installed and cooling our house down! Technicians Mike and Tim are professional and completed the job in less than 4 hours. Including moving our Nest thermostat to the second floor. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend Olympic Aire to anybody looking to install or replace an existing system. They will now have my business for yearly service contract. read more
