I grew up in Queens, came here most of my teen years. Visiting my parents and we came for breakfast. Service was good and my pancakes were delicious and the coffee hot and great. Miss the ole neighborhood, nice to see it bustling. Who say you can't go home?

Breakfast at Cross Bay Diner was a great way to start our day!! Loved the breakfast specials. Value, quality and super customer service all wrapped in one clean diner experience. Lots of options to choose from

My mom ordered me a sandwich to go. This is the second time a hair was in my food. I have straight hair and I ate most of the sandwich until I saw a curly hair. Actually it was my last piece of sandwich.

We had a great experience at cross bay diner. We came on a busy Sunday morning so the wait time was expected. However, the host kept it running smoothly. We ordered different egg plates, omelets, hash browns, pancakes, etc. Everything was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was great and our cups were constantly filled with hot coffee. This is a great spot for breakfast in Howard Beach. I highly recommend.

Great diner, good location, easy parking. The menu was extensive and what I was hoping for in a good diner. Plenty of seating, although it was crowded, we got seated right away. The staff was excellent, service was friendly and fast, and the food was really delicious. Stefania was delightful.

I've realized that a lot of diners that I used to go to in Brooklyn have closed and that's unfortunate. I remembered going to Cross Bay diner with my ex one time and decided it was time to make another visit. There's just something nostalgic about eating at a diner that warms my heart. I actually went 2 weeks ago with my family and had a wonderful experience and decided to have a mother/daughter day a few days ago. Our favorite waitress, Indira was there. I hope I spelled her name right. First, they have ample parking and the dining area is spacious. We ordered pancakes, French toast and of course all the things that go with a hearty breakfast...eggs, sausage and a side of home fries. Let me just say, this is the only restaurant that cooks my eggs just the way I like it so that's definitely a plus. I think this is going to become my favorite and go to diner from now on. The staff is wonderful and friendly and very helpful and the location is convenient. It's a win win for me.

My family and I came to Cross Bay Diner for brunch today and it was the highlight of my day! The Belgian Waffle/Fried Chicken was amazing! The waffles were fluffy, the chicken was crunchy and well seasoned; overall a delicious meal. The service was fast and welcoming, had a homey atmosphere. The restaurant is a great place to stop for a warm meal to start your day!

We ate so quickly! I forgot to take photos!!

A True Neighborhood Favorite! Cross Bay Diner is one of those classic local spots where everyone from the neighborhood goes. It's the go-to diner for folks from areas like South Ozone Park, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, and beyond--and for good reason. This time around, we ordered the veggie omelette, mac & cheese (which is always delicious), mozzarella sticks (huge and perfectly crispy), the chipotle chicken pressed sandwich, iced coffee, and a rosé mimosa that was SO good. Honestly, everything here hits the spot--every single time. The service is always friendly and solid, even when it's packed. And yes, it can get busy--especially on weekends--but the food comes out fast, so even if there's a wait, it's worth it. Plus, the vibe is always welcoming, and you can tell the staff genuinely care. It's one of our favorite spots, and we'll keep coming back again and again!

Stopped in here after the kids practice for a late night dinner. Pricey ass menu for just regular food. I ordered the bowl of chili with a side of onion rings. Both were aight. My kid had the burger and said it was good. The fries weren't that great that came with it. And she ordered cheddar cheese and white cheese came on the burger. Not sure if it was white cheddar but wouldn't know I didn't even have a bite. Water was always full. Servers were on point with glass filling. We didn't get asked how was our food once though. Staff was friendly. I wouldn't come back. Diner food is always hit or miss and this one didn't hit for me.

What a joke I didn't order from the kids menu. I will take my money elsewhere

tried to give this place one last shot. Will never return the prices go up and food goes down. really sad got breakfast and a BLT had one slice of bacon. Complete a joke and hash browns were hardly there what a rip off. Don't have a pic of the blt cuz I sent it back the manager or owner who looks like Andy Cuomo could care less

Good service, clean, nice employees, the food I enjoyed. Walked in seated right away, didn't have to ask for water, it was brought to the table a few minutes after seating. Once the order was placed, it didn't take a long time to be served. The food was hot and fresh tasted good. Will definitely come back for breakfast.

Perfectly serviceable diner with parking available on either side. Very crowded when we arrived, but were seated very quickly. Service was quick and friendly. Coffee was hot and fresh and my cup was never allowed to be empty. Food was pretty good, too. Ramp or stairs into the diner.

The place is charming not big but its really a fast food place not a restaurant. I tried their chicken sandwich and it was amazing! The buffalo chicken sandwich was VERY spicy but delicious. Crisp fries were on point. Wings were large and great crisp lemon pepper rub was just the right blend and the sweet chili was not 'hot' at all (which was great for me). I had the best mozzarella sticks ever with just right marina sauce. Absolutely excellent service. Place was not crowded and thus one person (Anthony) was all roles except the cook and was very expedient! It is a local neighborhood restaurant and thus the ambience reflects that....so while the chairs don't encourage sitting for long time and the outside does not scream come in, the music was really good and had us singing along. When back in NYC, will definitely return.

The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.

With very little time to plan, I immediately called Vetro by Russo's on the Bay and spoke with my longtime friend Priscilla. After 30 years of experience in the wedding industry, Vetro was the only place I trusted with such an important occasion. Despite the short notice, Priscilla told me they could accommodate us. When I arrived, Priscilla, Chief Operating Officer PJ Connolly, Head Maître d' Joe Vacca, and owner Frank Russo were all waiting to help. Mr. Russo assured me that his team would make the celebration as special as possible--and they exceeded every expectation. Priscilla and PJ worked with me on the menu, while Joe carefully planned the staffing for the party. Phil, our maître d', was outstanding. He handled every detail perfectly, allowing me to relax and truly enjoy the celebration. The entire staff shined. Mr. Russo also came into the room to greet everyone and personally ensure that everything met his standards. In my experience, few owners care as deeply as he does, and that commitment showed in every detail. The bride-to-be's family had never been to Vetro before, and they were so impressed that her mother called me the very next day and asked me to find out which dates were available for her daughter's bridal shower. I called Priscilla again, and the team welcomed her with the same warmth and professionalism. She booked the shower and was excited to introduce the rest of her family to Vetro. Pedestals provided the décor for both events, and the results were absolutely stunning. During the main course at the bridal shower, Mr. Russo and PJ personally walked around the room to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied. They stopped to ask the bride's mother whether she was enjoying herself, and she happily thanked them for doing such a wonderful job for her daughter. From the first phone call through the final course, everyone at Vetro by Russo's on the Bay demonstrated exceptional professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. They made two of our family's most important celebrations truly unforgettable. I cannot thank or recommend the entire team highly enough!
