Horrible service raw pastors and they have attitude when you complain instead of making things better

We had a great experience at cross bay diner. We came on a busy Sunday morning so the wait time was expected. However, the host kept it running smoothly. We ordered different egg plates, omelets, hash browns, pancakes, etc. Everything was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was great and our cups were constantly filled with hot coffee. This is a great spot for breakfast in Howard Beach. I highly recommend.

Great diner, good location, easy parking. The menu was extensive and what I was hoping for in a good diner. Plenty of seating, although it was crowded, we got seated right away. The staff was excellent, service was friendly and fast, and the food was really delicious. Stefania was delightful.

I've realized that a lot of diners that I used to go to in Brooklyn have closed and that's unfortunate. I remembered going to Cross Bay diner with my ex one time and decided it was time to make another visit. There's just something nostalgic about eating at a diner that warms my heart. I actually went 2 weeks ago with my family and had a wonderful experience and decided to have a mother/daughter day a few days ago. Our favorite waitress, Indira was there. I hope I spelled her name right. First, they have ample parking and the dining area is spacious. We ordered pancakes, French toast and of course all the things that go with a hearty breakfast...eggs, sausage and a side of home fries. Let me just say, this is the only restaurant that cooks my eggs just the way I like it so that's definitely a plus. I think this is going to become my favorite and go to diner from now on. The staff is wonderful and friendly and very helpful and the location is convenient. It's a win win for me.

My family and I came to Cross Bay Diner for brunch today and it was the highlight of my day! The Belgian Waffle/Fried Chicken was amazing! The waffles were fluffy, the chicken was crunchy and well seasoned; overall a delicious meal. The service was fast and welcoming, had a homey atmosphere. The restaurant is a great place to stop for a warm meal to start your day!

We ate so quickly! I forgot to take photos!!

A True Neighborhood Favorite! Cross Bay Diner is one of those classic local spots where everyone from the neighborhood goes. It's the go-to diner for folks from areas like South Ozone Park, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, and beyond--and for good reason. This time around, we ordered the veggie omelette, mac & cheese (which is always delicious), mozzarella sticks (huge and perfectly crispy), the chipotle chicken pressed sandwich, iced coffee, and a rosé mimosa that was SO good. Honestly, everything here hits the spot--every single time. The service is always friendly and solid, even when it's packed. And yes, it can get busy--especially on weekends--but the food comes out fast, so even if there's a wait, it's worth it. Plus, the vibe is always welcoming, and you can tell the staff genuinely care. It's one of our favorite spots, and we'll keep coming back again and again!

Stopped in here after the kids practice for a late night dinner. Pricey ass menu for just regular food. I ordered the bowl of chili with a side of onion rings. Both were aight. My kid had the burger and said it was good. The fries weren't that great that came with it. And she ordered cheddar cheese and white cheese came on the burger. Not sure if it was white cheddar but wouldn't know I didn't even have a bite. Water was always full. Servers were on point with glass filling. We didn't get asked how was our food once though. Staff was friendly. I wouldn't come back. Diner food is always hit or miss and this one didn't hit for me.

What a joke I didn't order from the kids menu. I will take my money elsewhere

tried to give this place one last shot. Will never return the prices go up and food goes down. really sad got breakfast and a BLT had one slice of bacon. Complete a joke and hash browns were hardly there what a rip off. Don't have a pic of the blt cuz I sent it back the manager or owner who looks like Andy Cuomo could care less

Perfectly serviceable diner with parking available on either side. Very crowded when we arrived, but were seated very quickly. Service was quick and friendly. Coffee was hot and fresh and my cup was never allowed to be empty. Food was pretty good, too. Ramp or stairs into the diner.

Food yummy. Staff friendly. Price just right. Parking accessibility. My favorite was the Belgium waffles pumpkin pancakes and the pumpkin cheesecake. Loise was our waitress she is just a gem.

I was exuberant for the occasion of goodness to patronize, at long last. What gives you hope. There is an outdoor seating patio that occupies the entire sidewalk and half the street. The weather was gloomy cloudy, but not raining which enable my party of two to dine outdoors. Our table was uneven wobbling and shaking minimal the entire meal which reminisce "Lisa from Temecula" sketch from "Saturday Night Live," but not as violently aggressive shaking. Customer service is average attentive. Oddly, our appetizers arrived first and my wine did not. We had to request my wine which should be distributed first without request or reminder, thus the four stars. This restaurant was not entirely busy nor crowded for a Friday early afternoon. Nick's Bistro is a small cafe with a modern aesthetic appeal. I enjoy and prefer to be well-cultured expose to all international cuisines without judgment and an open mind for appreciation and global awareness. I am not knowledgeable with Greek cuisine, but I do know that Astoria is the locale for the go-to restaurants. I enter with a empty stomach. I exited fulfilled. Business cards and candy were available for grabs. Nick's Bistro is easily accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses Q53 SBS/ Q52 SBS and then Q54. Dramatic irony: this business name is also the name of my former love - not the same Nick, certainly not the same man. My foodie synopsis: Lamb gyro sandwich, $12.00 The meat was soft, but fresh and Tzatziki sauce was heavy. I do not consume lamb often, but once in a blue moon I would not exclude lamb to consume. The pita bread was the highlight which was fresh, soft and cooked with a good consistency without burning or harden. The gyro contain very pauacity minimal vegetables of lettuce, half cherry tomato and red onion. I always prefer red onion. I prefer regular tomato. This sandwich ate my fill to sustain hunger pangs the entire afternoon. Gyro sandwich is always my default Greek entrée of choice. Oddly, this entrée is price higher than listed on their website for $9.00. I do not believe their website is updated for price. Caesar salad, small $11.25 It was fresh and delightful filled with Parmesan shaved cheese. This portion is actually medium size. The croutons are thankfully not hard, but I never like croutons at all. I am always enamored with the lettuce. Ruffino, Chianti, 2019 red wine $12.00 This wine is one of my favorite reds, but it is difficult to find at most restaurants or cafés not widely offer. It was a joyous delight. It is exactly as is dry, very medium-bodied smooth finish Italian red wine from Tuscany, Italy, crafted from indigenous Sangiovese grape. It highlight bright cherry flavors and surely tasted. I was floating in very high spirits. Chicken rice soup, pint $6.95 Served luke warm but not piping hot with steam visibly emitted. It was also served with Oyster crackers. It was enjoyable and warm the heart. Greek Omelet, over easy egg whites $16.50 It was served with Greek feta cheese with vegetables yellow zucchini and pita chips. I highly despise Greek feta cheese and the same for Greek yogurt because both are extremely heavy, thick and too rich. I do not see any tomatoes. This entrée did appeared well prepared and well cooked but no runny yoke. My neighbor thoroughly enjoyed this entrée. Every time I think of omelet it bring flashbacks from past long-haul international flights major airlines of standard airplane food popularity for in-flight breakfast, often served with potatoes, sausage, or roasted vegetables. Nostalgia brew. Omelet? Flight attendant, I'll take the Continental with pastries, toast and fresh fruit please. Then followed by Bedtime Care Bear make me fall asleep again.

We started with a lunch option, consisting of the Spanakopita (flaky and generously filled with spinach and feta) and a Greek Salad (fresh with lightly dressed vegetables). We also shared a Pita Chicken Gyro, the chicken was well-seasoned, the pita bread was soft and freshly baked, and all of it combined made each bite enjoyable. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, so we ordered the Orange Cake. At first, the texture hit differently; if I can compare it to anything, it would be close to bread pudding - it was moist but not overly wet. After the first bite, we didn't want to stop eating it. The flavors were divine. Our server, Jocelyn was a tremendous help; she was personable, attentive, and thoughtful, considering our needs before we even asked. Delighted to have finally been able to visit this hidden gem. Pleasant environment with great music softly playing in the background. I highly recommend it, and we can't wait to return!

I went with my plus one, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The place is very clean, not very big, but super comfortable with a nice traditional Greek vibe. We were greeted and seated by one of the owners (one of the brothers), which made it feel even more welcoming. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and checked on us several times, which I always appreciate without it feeling overdone. I ordered the gyro, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. But the real standout? Dessert. It was honestly out of this world. The owner mentioned it's his mother's recipe, "made with love," and you can truly taste that in every bite. I'm still thinking about it and would go back just for that alone. Great location, great staff, and an overall really enjoyable experience. Definitely a spot I'll be returning to!

The first time I ordered from them, it was an add on to an additional order - at that time, I simply went with 3 skewers, which were tasty and flavorful. Tonight, we ordered a plethora of foods. The lemon potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, and I work and eat in Astoria so that says something! The pita came warm, fluffy, but with a good chew. The eggplant dip was nice and chunky with a good smoke - it went well with the crispy pita chips. The side salad was... a side salad, but I appreciate that everything was super fresh. The hummus was definitely homemade; not as smooth as store bought ones but I really like it.
