I've had takeout from here at least 35 times in the last 5 years. I live in bayside so my husband (or myself) always picks it up. I've had most of their menu. The Roman slice and chicken parm roll is two of my favs, also I love their corn and avocado salad. But my all time fav is their soups, especially their lentil soup. I don't even like lentil soup that much but their lentil soup is so freaking good, it'll convert you. All of their soups are great, but the lentil is unbelievable. I could eat it every single day. We rolled in at around 7:30pm on a Friday after Thanksgiving. There were plenty of tables. We ordered a bottle of white wine, an order of rice balls, a slice of pizza, and the Italian Mac and Cheese. The Mac and cheese was amazing. It was piping hot and cooked to perfection. The sauce was not too heavy but the cheese flavors were hitting you left and right. It was the right amount of food. The rice balls even though they are no longer on the menu, you may order them. They were freshly made and perfectly made. The pizza looked good and had that nice thin crust. I visited LaVilla today for an early dinner for my daughters birthday . It was a beautiful day so we sat in their outside area . It wasn't too busy and were sat right away . As soon as you walk in you smell the wonderful wood burning oven smell . They have such a nice small but very unique menu . Today my daughter and I ordered the mezza Luna appetizer and for dinner the rigatoni ala vodka . My daughter added fried chicken cutlet to hers . They have the best vodka sauce with a Smokey prosciutto flavor as well as some caramelized onions with cream and of course grated cheese . All the food was good only critic is not too add more grated cheese on top as the sauce already has it and it does get a little salty . No real complaints here will definitely come back especially on a beautiful day. read more

I've been going to La Villa for ages....Even before the renovation that took place years ago. I was always a fan of their pizza, baked clams, the dinner entrees (marinated flank steak), pastas. I moved away and had someone coming down this way and they stopped and brought me back a Grandma's pie. I have no idea what happened. It was dry, not much sauce, the cheese seemed different. The whole thing was not memorable and it wasn't the pie that I loved and would go out of my way for. Not sure what happened, different, cheaper ingredients. Totally disappointed. read more

This place is way overpriced and has poor customer service. They got my order wrong then denied it and refused to remake it. I asked for a small prosciutto pizza with lemon oil on the side. They misheard and put herb and garlic oil on the pizza. I've ordered this pizza multiple times and immediately tasted the difference. It's $30 for a small pizza and an additional $3 for oil, so I expect it to be made correctly. When we picked it up they said they put garlic and herb oil on the pizza. We let them know that's not what we ordered and asked to have it remade then they claimed to have used regular oil. I've never experienced customer service like this. Making a mistake on an order then denying it. If I'm telling you this tastes wrong, and you had originally told me it was made wrong, why are you arguing with me and now denying it? (Don't ever go food shopping hungry! lol) Today my boyfriend and I decided to come for dinner. They have outdoor seating which is nice. I had the chicken parm with spaghetti, it was good but nothing to rave over. My boyfriend had the penne vodka. He enjoyed it He ate it all however, I still found it to be okay. My daughter and son in law always comes to this pizzeria when they're visiting in town. We were seated right away. The waiter was pleasant took our appetizer order and our meal order right away. Drinks were also bought to us right away. The coffee drink with whipped cream is to die for. We ordered large zucchini pies. They have one of the best pizzas in New York. One of the best white pizzas I've ever had. I absolutely loved that the ricotta was piped down the slice so if you folded it over, you got ricotta in every bite. The ricotta was flavored well with something herby and almost garlicky and was so melty, creamy and delicious. I've never had a Bianca pizza with the ricotta seasoned so I was so satisfied with this. The deep dish was very bready but I think it's possible because we got delivery the steam might've played with the texture of the dough so would need to give it a second try straight from the oven to comment anymore on it. That being said, with how different the pizzas looked size wise, I would do wood fired over deep dish the next time without question. Sicilian pie came with almost all of the sauce off the pizza and all over the box because the delivery driver clearly doesn't know how to hold a fresh pie straight. Also ordered penne all vodka which cost $23 that barely had enough pasta in the dish to cover the bottom of the pan. Not sure what's going on with this place but they need to make some adjustments. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I liked that it was mild. The food is always excellent, we sat outside, which is a great amenity they have for the summer. This is a Lindenwood staple. I've been here dozens of times and they never disappoint. My favorite thing on the menu is the grilled chicken Caesar wrap & it always lasts me two meals. The La Villa House Salad is absolutely delicious, and once in a while, when I have the extra money to shell out (since it has gone up significantly in price), it is truly what I crave the most. I keep updating my review because La Villa is consistently inconsistent. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it isn't. Sometimes I get sick from it, sometimes I don't. One thing that is consistent is the increasing price for mediocre Italian food. The tomato sauce frequently tastes like it has been sitting in a pot for a very long time and has gotten acidy. The garlic and oil has no flavor. The pasta primavera has julienne vegetables in it, instead of whole vegetables. I know restaurants need to cut corners because of the pandemic but that is ridiculous. They put bruschetta in their salad so there is more bread and less salad. They do mention it in the description but that is a new addition. Definitely not my favorite place. read more

I have been a customer here since they were neighbors of McDonalds. ( yes , there was a McD on the end of the strip). While, for the most part, the food and pizza have maintained its quality, the prices, especially recently, have been getting more and more ridiculous. I stopped in today for 3 slices. Price 2 weeks ago was 3.75, now, 4.00 but the worst part was I was charged TAX on top of the 4.00. Is it me, or do most pizzeria's charge tax on slices? I can't recall ever paying tax on a slice.
