Overall it was a decent time with friends for brunch. hostess was lacking in customer service. her response to when asked for the wait time for 6 + a baby for inside was "idk...when the games over?" Like excuse me? The game hadnt even started and there were tables inside where people looked like they'd be leaving soon ish and we could have potentially been seated there. Yet the other hostess was able to give another party of 4 a wait time for inside. We ate outside even though it was uncomfortable. Our server was nice Three people got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was smaller than before and no spicy syrup was provided like it comes with even when all three asked for spicy and regular. One got the brisket skillet and said it was okay I got the steak and fries- steak was overcooked and under seasoned so thank the lord the poblano aioli was good. Also the menu said garlic fries and I just got plain ole fries.. Another got avocado toast which they forgot her bacon and she said it just lacked flavor. Beers provided could have been colder and my poblano marg was alright but nothing I would rave about or get again . Only good drink to come out was the OHSO green tea! Had an amazing brunch today on the patio! My husband and I each got a meal & beer and somehow left under $30. Holy smokes, what a great deal! The gravy was top notch & the kids cheeseburger was to die for. I'm not even kidding, the best cheeseburger I've had in awhile! The service by Owen was unforgettable. This was a chill place to get some good upscale bar food. It was an unusually cool June night so we sat outside with great misters. This place is doggie friendly so next time we will bring our pup. It was later in the evening so we decided to split appetizers. The queso was really good but the chips seemed a bit stale. The chicken strips were good and crispy but I should babe subbed for sweet potato; the regular fries were average. We finally decided to try and give OHSO another shot and the past two visits have been great. See sat at a table one time and the same week went again and tried the bar area again. Both experiences were so much better. Service was friendly and we weren't left feeling ignored etc. II loved the shrimp taco board. It had a bit of a kick. The next visit I tried the turkey avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries, again delicious, my husband had their wings and said they were good and not over sauced. I will say on the day we sat inside it was freezing and we hurried and ate and left. My husband and I took our 21 year old son to dinner around 8:30 on the first night of the World Cup. It wasn't too busy. Our server just took our orders and never came back. She forgot to put on the order to bring ketchup,mayo and other things. She never came back to refill waters or anything either. But of course she came back to have us pay the bill. You know how restaurants hand you the electronic thing to add a tip and stand there making everyone uncomfortable? Yeah....she was there for that. Anyway - the brisket Mac and cheese was ordered by my son who ate it so fast he practically inhaled it. He loved it. I ordered the turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. The restaurant was infested with flies to the point the restaurant provides a motion fan on your table to divert the flies. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was delivered cold and difficult to cut with a knife. The water tasted like chorine. When we were able to inform the waitress she did offer to make a new one, order something different at this point the rest of the table was well into their meal. Went in specifically for the Clam Chowder Soup and it did not disappoint. We're told it's made on Fridays and it's served until they run out. So good. OHSO Brewery was so close to 5 stars. The tortilla chips they served were stale. I could have asked for a different batch and I am sure that they would have obliged. Solid service! They kept my Arnold Palmer coming. The potstickers were okay. The sauce was delicious but we will ask for it on the side because it will keep the dumplings crispier. The Ensalada salad was okay. Great fresh greens but the seasoned chicken could have had more flavor. The star was the carne asada with chimichurri sauce. It was tender and flavorful. So we took our pup to OHSO Brewery in Surprise.... we have been coming here more often because we really love their food and they have good music on and this place just has got a great vibe and awesome service here... I will qualify this by saying that every other OHSO I have been to is fantastic. And the service and management here was good. But the food at our visit was hit and miss. The buffalo dip was good but the chips tasted like a mix of fresh and stale chips. The carne asada tacos were fatty and overcooked. The brisket sandwich was overcooked brisket and a hard bun. The AZ burger was good and the sweet potato fries were okay. But when you are paying $18-20 a plate, you expect more. The manager was understanding and helped us out. But I am sad to say I will not visit this OHSO again. I'll drive to the next closest one. read more

Definitely have to update my review after having come back multiple times since opening. We always sit at the bar and service is quick and friendly. I love the outside bar and huge open air patio on a nice day - perfect for enjoying the AZ weather and a couple beers. OHSO has a great happy hour special and a brunch menu with fresh options from the test kitchen in Scottsdale. On my last visit I had the breakfast tostada and would absolutely order it again. My wife and I had to go to Dicks sporting goods in Surprise. After our shopping we were hungry so we found OHSO Brewery. It was lunch time on a Saturday so it was very busy. We were seated pretty quickly and waited on immediately. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer, and my wife and I shared a cheeseburger and fries. Both were very tasty. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs with refills, to go boxes etc. Great job to the team there. I just found out that OHSO is building another location by our home in Verrado. Great spot with plenty of covered patio seating! It was super comfy even on hot days thanks to the misters. Heads-up: They don't take reservations at the Surprise location even though the website makes it seem like they do with a reservation button. It's very busy on weekends. Service was solid, and when the flies started getting annoying outside, our server brought over a fan that kept them at bay. Small touch, but much appreciated! Food was tasty! Definitely try the Hatch Green Chile Pork. The menu says it's spicy, but I found it more sweet than spicy. Still full of flavor and worth ordering. read more

For a quick spot or a long hang OHSO is always a hit. Feels like a chain but they are locally grown and loved. They have grown so much in part to the great beer and friendly service that's at every location. I swung in for a beer on happy hour while I waited for my brother to get off from work. Still can't beet a pitcher for $8. It comes out to just over 2pints which once again for $8 is still one of the best happy hours in town. Our return trip to OHSO Brewery was as good as the first! The place was packed.... surely because of the unique Brunch menu offered Sat. & Sunday... with specialty drinks! The treat of the day was when "Owen" appeared at the table as our waiter. We knew then that our customer service would be perfect! We were now a group 7. And after enjoying a great dining experience once again, we all agreed that OHSO would be a regular stop! When you visit try the Salmon BLT wrap ... and ask for Owen, both are my favorites. I am a foodie who appreciates good food and a quality staff .... OHSO does not disappoint. P.S. This past summer I vacationed in Paris, London and Norway .... My friends and I went for brunch on a Saturday a couple weekends ago. We had our dog with us, so the main draw was their dog friendly patio. The experience was just okay. The food wasn't amazing and the service was actually pretty poor. The only highlight was being able to sit outside on their covered patio. The restaurant itself is very nice. They have a nice indoor / outdoor vibe with a bar which runs the length of the restaurant and separates the two sides. For food our group ordered the Chicken + Waffles, Deviled Egg Toast, and the AZ Burger. The chicken which came with the Chicken + Waffles was small and very dry. The best part of this dish was the syrup. The Deviled Egg Toast wasn't anything special - also a pretty small portion. The AZ burger was probably the most enjoyed dish of the group - however I wish it came with a different bun. The bun was room temp and very dense. A lighter toasted bun would've have been better. The biggest miss was the service. Our server came across as very bored and uncaring. He didn't check-in outside of the basic transactions and wasn't helpful when we had questions about the menu. Two of our group ordered entrees from the Boozy Brunch menu which comes with an entree and a beverage. However none of us were drinking that day. If we decline the alcohol, why not offer us a soda or lemonade instead? Sort of felt like we were paying for a beverage in the cost of the meal, but weren't given an alternative option. Not in a rush to return anytime soon, but will eventually try them again. I've been to the location in Arcadia a couple times and always enjoyed my experience. It was a good day and time to visit. We sat outside where the temperature was comfortable and it wasn't crowded. As a non-pet owner, there were not a lot of dogs so that was nice. It's a spacious outdoor patio area. The two employees who greeted me were over the top excited. Our server was pleasant and was always available. I ordered the Smoked Turkey & Avocado handheld (turkey, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, smashed avocado, cheddar, mixed greens, garlic aioli, Texas toast). It was tasty. The side was sweet potato fries. Those fries were hot, fresh and delicious. The ranch dressing was the icing. Our first visit was very enjoyable. Love the location, being just minutes from our home and the outdoor dining atmosphere. The hostess was very pleasant and welcomed us, and we were able to grab a table outside within 10 minutes. For a busy Saturday night, that was impressive! Met friends for dinner and started with drinks and their gigantic pretzel. The three dipping sauces were absolutely delicious. A green chili cheese sauce, some sort of peanut sauce and a hardy, stone ground mustard. The pretzel itself was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and perfectly salted. Everyone chose different dishes from soups, salads, burgers and a pulled pork sandwich. I personally enjoyed my ensalada del Sol salad. It came with a cilantro vinaigrette dressing, but I subbed for their ranch and a side of barbecue sauce. The salad was fresh, huge, and served with shaved white chicken breast. I tried one of my hubby's fries and they were outstanding. I could easily eat a whole bowl of those! Service was excellent, menu is substantial and we look forward to our return visit. read more

So this is a brewery and very dog friendly. I'm not a beer fan at all, but I always love a good burger from there. I ordered a vodka based control that was very sweet and citrusy. We sat outside because it was 70 degrees outside and it was 12 back home. The ambiance was nice and they had heaters to ensure all guests were comfortable. If you have a dog, this is the place for you. They have multiple water bowl refill areas they offer for your dog to ensure they stay hydrated. I ordered the PB&J burger and it was absolutely delicious. The bun was homemade and had a sweet flavor to it. The food was great, Katrina was an awesome server and the outdoors was warm and perfect. First off Owen was our server and he was fantastic. I mention him 1st as good service is hard to find. He was attentive, efficient and made the meal. The new tostada was delicious, not a lot of food but flavorful. The brisket skillet was not great, the smoke flavor was good but the brisket was tough and there was a lot of fat on it. Also, the over skillet had a slimy texture between the eggs and fatty meat. This is not my preference and another person in our group ate mine as he didn't mind the fatty meat and slimy texture. Hubs and I were wandering, and looking for lunch at a place we'd never been. OHSO is a brewery and distillery. I ordered an espresso martini, that was perfect. Not too much Kahlua and it was not overly sweet. Hubs had two different IPA's and really liked them both. I had Little O's Chopped salad perfect amount of smoked salmon, grains and the chile lime dressing was phenomenal. My husband had street tostadas. 3 doubler decker tostadas with pork carnitas and black beans in the middle. It's on the starters menu and was plenty enough for lunch. The service (Hailey!) and all the other employees were stellar. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. They are equipped for the heat. Fans and misters. The patio is very dog friendly. They had a great space outside with lots of seating and a nice game area (ping pong, corn hole, foosball) off to the side. We started with a couple of orders of donut holes, these were great! I had the Popcycle Blonde, okay a couple of them. This was a tasty beer. I got the Brisket Skillet. Let me start with I am a brisket snob so you have to nail it to impress me. I thought the brisket was just okay. It was a bit stringy, more like a roast than a brisket. If the brisket was only okay, the dish was only okay. I also had a couple of bites of my son's Hot Chicken and Biscuits. Thought this was good. The gravy was listed as spicy and had a tiny bit to it. I thought it was pretty good. read more
