The bbq sauce it comes with tastes homemade and was sweet, vinegary and just right! The Mac and cheese was on par with a usual bbq joint and was tasty. The Texas twinkies were quite honestly one of the most interesting, rich, delectable little fireturds I've ever popped in my mouth. Halfed seeded jalapeño, filled with brisket cream cheese mixture, wrapped in thick cut smokehouse bacon brushed with bbq sauce and cooked up just right to give it a nice glaze of sugar and crunch. These little bastards are well worth every penny and minute spent waiting. I ate ten..... The food is all worth a trip and the memories of the first bites will be with me forever.

This is a small take-out only spot for BBQ but there is VERY BIG flavor coming out of here! Right away the aroma greets you... and then your eyes are drawn to the display case filled with Armadillo eggs, deviled eggs, meat and cheese, sauces, jerky and desserts. We decided to get a variety of everything our first time here. All the meats were smoked to perfection from the wings... to the ribs... to the brisket... to the sausage... to the pulled pork. Did I mention we tried it all!! The sides options covered everything you would find in a sit down place and then some: collard greens, baked beans, red skin potato salad, green bean casserole, mac and cheese and slaw. We liked the potato salad, green bean casserole and sweet and spicy collard greens the most. We are absolutely stuffed and will have to try the pineapple upside down cake later. Tried the Texas Twinkie breakfast burrito during brunch (asked for it without the BBQ sauce)…read more I ordered online and it did take about an hour, which wasn't provided as an estimate until after submitting my order. They said it was due to the grill being backed up, but to their credit, it was ready right when I arrived and tasted fresh. The burrito itself was really solid. The grilled cheese crust on the outside was a nice touch, but what stood out even more was the underside--it had this flaky, crispy texture that made every bite satisfying. Flavor-wise, the bacon definitely carried the dish with a great smoky taste, and you'd occasionally get a nice kick from the jalapeño. The eggs were there, but I didn't notice many had brown potatoes. The few that were in there had that slightly chewy/hard/gummy texture you get from like next-day reheated hash browns, so I'm not sure what was going on there. Fresh, crispy potatoes or even their fresh fries would have taken this to the next level. Overall though, really good burrito with great texture and strong smoky flavor--just a couple tweaks away from being excellent! Also got 5 wings to try, with Carolina Gold sauce. They were great!
