However, I do think the YMCA should reconsider advertising the pool as a membership amenity when, in practice, it is rarely available for general use. During the week, only a couple of morning hours are open, and those times are primarily intended for children taking swimming lessons. Everyone else--including children--is limited to a very small portion of a single lane. The pool is also unavailable on Sundays, has limited hours on Saturdays, and on Fridays it is often occupied by camps, making it inaccessible to regular members. While I understand the need to accommodate lessons and programs, the reality is that members have very few opportunities to actually use the pool. It feels misleading to market it as a membership benefit when it is so difficult to access. I hope the YMCA will either expand public pool availability or be more transparent about the limited access so members know what to expect.

However today I had…read moreperhaps one of the most unprofessional interactions I've had with someone in a customer service position. Two days ago I arrived to a sign indicating the pool was closed. When I inquired about it reopening I was told it wasn't technically closed and we could swim at our own risk which I did. This morning I called a little before 9 am and spoke to Miranda D and asked if the pool was open and if any classes were going on. She told me there was an aqua fit class at 9 but after that it would be open for lap swimming. I arrived around 10:45 and a man was in the pool swimming laps. Right after I got in Miranda entered the pool area and asked me to get out. I asked why and she claimed she didn't like the look of the pool. I told her about the interaction two days ago and asked if we could swim at our own risk or if I had to get out. She replied "Well I'm not going to drag you out." At that point I replied "Okay I'll respect that." And I got out of the pool. Note that there was no signage about the pool being closed and Miranda herself had confirmed via phone an hour earlier that the pool was open. I proceeded to walk out a door that had been propped for the past 3 days with a fan that people have been going in and out of. She waited until I got into the doorway and then yelled across the pool "You can't go out that door." At that point I was already out and on the other side. She proceeded to chase after me screaming "What is your name. I will revoke your membership right now. What is your name." I was stunned. I went to the desk to speak to a manager who I knew and I expressed concern that she was confrontational, aggressive and threatening. She denied that yelling at me saying she would revoke my membership was a threat. At no point did I argue with her, raise my voice or otherwise engage with her in a way that could be considered disrespectful. In fact, I had fully complied respectfully with all she had asked and was leaving. It was such a benign situation that I was truly stunned at the unprofessionalism displayed. I asked for her supervisors name and she provided the name Alex Luna. She contacted him in my presence to let him know I would reach out. I've attempted to do so and so far I've received no response. I then reached out to James Tyree, who I figured out is both Miranda and Alex's supervisor, and have not received a call back either. I am concerned that this level of unprofessionalism was exhibited. And even when attempting to talk to her she could have apologized at that point for her reaction but instead dug her heels in. I think the way she engaged was entirely inappropriate and demonstrates a lack of professionalism and maturity that is required for the position she is fulfilling. If that is how she engaged with customers in a customer service position it is alarming. No one deserves to be yelled at and treated with the level of disrespect I was subjected to when I ultimately willingly complied with exiting the pool through an open door that multiple people had gone in and out of.

I was active in sports in high school but that was it. I knew I needed help so I sought out personal training. I went twice a week for 30 minute sessions. I was seriously in the best shape I have ever been while being there. I was so much stronger and lost about 7% of my body fat after a few months. The man knows what he is doing. I was drenched in sweat after every session. I've been to 2 other gyms since moving and nothing compares to the workouts I had when I went to this gym. I can't thank you guys enough. This is a whole new experience!…read more Each session consists of 3 services . You start with red light body wraps ( thighs , arms , abdomen, back and red light device over your entire head and face in a private blacked out room . Someone will assist you with this process. You'll need to disrobe to undergarments and wear their Turkish towels before being wrapped . Headphones with soothing music will be given to you . After that they'll place a button in your hand to call for service if you need anything within the 25 min treatment time. This felt really Good on the joints and really relaxing. Next up is the quick workout on the vibration plates . You'll follow a video on an iPad in the main fitness room and use weights . Lastly - the Pilates reformer . You'll follow a quick video workout on an iPad with headphones for this one . This will complete your service . Pro tip - wear grippy socks , wear clothing that is easy to change in and out of , Wear undergarments! This wasn't a hit nor was it a miss for me . Would I return ? Yes , most likely however the pricing per session threw me off vs pricing at other places in the area for similar services ($50 for an hour) . I also don't like having to download apps for every single fitness and wellness facility I visit and they use an app of their own here to book . I'm a big class pass user and these services aren't available to book on class pass yet . The location can be tricky my gps kept saying I was here at an auto place , it's actually was around the corner and very easy to miss same building . ( recommend better signage ) For the fitness portions, I would prefer an actual instructor but I also like the convenience of being able to do your own thing . Service was great ! My knees felt fantastic on that plate . I would recommend this place more for recovery or injuries. They are a new business and I'm sure all the small kinks will get worked out .
