They opened in the middle of the pandemic, but that really has not stopped their growth of clientele. I'll start with safety. Everyone is spaced out and has their own machines and dumbbells to use. They do a cleaning after each class and you have to wear your mask to move about the class or be in any other space of the building. I have always felt very safe while in there and I am one who is definitely paranoid about the virus. Now, moving on to the workouts. It's basically a high intensity work out for an hour. You spend 15 minute increments on the floor with weights and on the treadmill- two times for each. No class is the same and no instructor is the same. I love that because you're getting a different experience every time you walk in the door. Your body will constantly be challenged because of this also. I will say that each instructor is very motivating and great at pushing you to be your best you inside and outside of the classroom. None of that "earn what you eat" mess. That's the number one thing that keeps me coming back. I've been to a lot of other gyms in the city and this one takes the cake. Check them out!

Consistently when we show up there are dumbbells, 45lb plates, random deadlift bars, etc all over the place. It's incredibly clear not a single person, staff, or member, cares about the quality of this gym. Plates are never reracked, always left in the bars for you to pick up after someone. It takes 5 minutes just to find a 5lb plate. It's just an all around mess. Not to mention when we signed up we were lied to straight to our faces. We were told there was free garage parking with our membership... lol nope. I've also never been to a gym where there's not a single employee there even after 6:30am. The bathrooms barely work, smell, and are just as unclean as the gym itself. Also they haven't had a working A/C in months! It's middle of the summer and it's consistently 80-85 degrees inside the gym. Do not go or join this gym, it's an absolute scam and the people who run this business should be embarrassed. I had also been experiencing back and shoulder aches and spent 8 months with a chiropractor with no resolution. I took an intro class, they are free and a great introduction of you've never worked with a reformer, I had not. You will also need socks with grips on the soles. The instructor was incredibly helpful and talked out each move and breathing techniques. They have also taken the time to come over and adjust you if your form is wrong (COVID has changed things). All of this is to say that after 3 months of starting Pilates, the pain my shoulder and back are nearly gone, my posture is better (I sit in front of a computer all day), and I have seen a huge difference in what my knee is able to do now compared to my first Pilates class (I had a lot of modifications). Membership: There are several different types of memberships based on number of classes you'd like to attend monthly or weekly. The passport for example is an unlimited membership that allows you to go to any Club Pilates nationwide and costs $259/monthly. Classes: An abundance of experienced instructors and classes. You can book using the app and the login is site specific. This is my only issue with Club Pilates; the old app worked well for me but the 2.0 version does not.

She welcomed me, told me about the studio, I saw they had a mat room, which I missed taking mat pilates classes. I went home reviewed their website, signed up for mat pilates and took my first classes this week. Rachel welcomed me for my first class on Monday, several of the students in the class also welcomed me, several of us talked after the class and they told me how much they loved Rachel and the studio. I went back for a second class yesterday and again was welcomed and more students raving about the studio, the mat pilates is hard, but just what I need to get back into shape. To begin, you have to take an intro class first which was very helpful. I have taken two classes so far, both with Molly, and she has been so helpful and really pushes you! The classes are small (first one was 6 people, second was only 2) so they are small enough for individualized attention, which I prefer. I definitely recommend checking out the free intro class and then buying a package! Also, the plants and natural light in the space are great.
