    Shrimp bisque
    Giselle G.

We came here because everything closes early. So my friend picked this place, first the service is amazing. The food was alright nothing to repeat. We ordered the shrimp bisque, it had shrimps but it didn't have a good shrimp broth flavor. Then I ordered the lobster ravioli and that was a bit better. It was good and I would have the dish again but the raviolis could have been fresher, the texture of the ravioli was a bit chewy. The place is quite nice and you have a beautiful view to the docks with the boat. I would not come back. My friends' steaks were overcooked and they returned them but the waitress was amazing she was very kind and efficient. They did give us chocolate covered cherries which was a nice touch.

    Seafood scampi

We came here for a birthday celebration. You can park in the parking lot of the hotel. There are seats inside or seats outside. We decided to sit outside, which was nice that you got a view of the lake. They start you off with a bread basket, which had three different types of bread which was delicious. We had the pierogies of an appetizer and I would order them again. It was very different. They have something for everyone for the entrées. I had the seafood scampi which was loaded with a lot of seafood our waitress was very friendly and attentive, and they made our birthday extra special.

Okay-being in many positions in the industry, I always (the rare times I review) give positives only. However, I just have a little heads up for patrons. But 1st, the good: lovely restaurant, average upscale, pricey food, kind staff... Our Pittsburgh fam was meeting Buffalo fam here (we both happened to be in the area simultaneously ). Our server, Corrinne C, was nice. Here's the kicker: wasn't nearly through with my entree salad, and she started to bus it. Surprised (and embarrassed), I asked for a to-go container. She said okay, and i saw no issue. She brought the check, and I asked for the to-go, and she forgot (if they were slammed, it would be one thing, but forgivable, because they were not at that time of day, 3pm). She presented me with a container, and 40 miles later, back at our hotel, I opened it, and it was empty. Boo! I was hungry, and really disappointed. So, always check the container, I guess?

    NY strip special

I'm staying at the hotel and decided to eat here after my long drive. The service was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. The wine list is decent with a mix of local and others. I ordered the soup special which was scallop chowder. Nice chunks of scallops and potatoes. A little bland but a good choice. For my entree I ordered the NY strip special. It was cooked perfectly. The bourbon sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. The loaded mashed potatoes were incredible. I enjoyed everything. I recommend if you just want to hang out at the hotel and chill after a long day.

The Ahi Tuna was perfectly prepared and a vert large portion. The complimentary bread and olive tapenade was great as well. Our server was courteous and quick.

The restaurant had a cute interior and a lovely view of the ocean. The service was attentive and quick. Food was very average, I ordered the crab cake sandwich and was unimpressed. Overall, a good pit stop for lunch, but the food isn't spectacular.

I have changed my mind from my earlier reviews. Get the Seafood Scampi! Service was great, ambience was great.

    Chocolate covered cherries...complementary!

Enjoyed dinner with friends Saturday evening. Great service! Our server (I think Ashley--couldn't see her name from where I was sitting)--was so friendly and attentive! Lemon drop martini was delish! My hubby and I had the special...petite filet mignon served over a sun-dried tomato Alfredo pasta. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, but the pasta could have used a little more salt or grated parm?? Just a tiny bit bland. There is no side served with it, nor salad, which would have been nice at $47.50...but all in all a nice meal. We started with the charcuterie board which another yelper recommended and that was large and had a very nice selection. Desserts were ok. Our friends enjoyed their meal--he cleaned his plate and she took leftovers--which she said were enough for 2!! Oh!!! And she's gluten free! They offer gf pasta! A smidge over priced but probably not for the location, right at the base of Seneca Lake!

We enjoyed this restaurant a great deal: the drinks were very good, and the waiter was attentive. We enjoyed everything we ordered- crab cake sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. I can't wait to have it again. Perfect stuffed dirty martinis! Not easy to find.

We discussed what I wanted and then she recommended local wines to pair with my meal. Everything here is farm-to-table and the quality of the ingredients are what stood out in this experience. I started off with an order of the house sourdough bread. Nothing fancy, but everything I wanted. For an appetizer, I ordered the PEI Muscles as recommended by my waitress. These were Prince Edward Island mussels, cilantro and garlic in a red curry cream sauce served with warm baguettes. This was incredible. The flavors, the sauce, the crispy bread, it all went so well together. For my main I ordered the Duck Margaret. Dry rubbed duck breast, rosemary polenta, asparagus, pickled celeriac, and a side of ancho chili sauce. This dish was on their specials menu for the day however I have seen it listed on their website previously. The duck was tender and juicy, the asparagus cooked to perfection, and the polenta took this dish over the top. For me, I was not loving the ancho chili sauce, so I was very thankful to have this on the side. Graft is currently rated a 9.9 on my Beli and this is all thanks to their excellent service and the fresh high quality ingredients they use to prepare their food.

Didn't mind too much because we didn't have to be anywhere though so enjoyed savoring our drinks and people watching since we were on the sidewalk. Perfect fall night for just that. For cocktails, we got the Lakewood sparkling And a glass of red wine. The sparkling went great with the Mussels we got for our appetizer. Also enjoyed our entrées of Halibut and Chicken. The halibut was definitely better and more interesting. The chicken was fine just not as much flavor. Probably wouldn't order it again.

A nice variety of craft beer and cocktails are on the menu and flights are available even outside. The food menu has a good variety of items and everything being served around us looks tasty. We snacked on the poutine, which was loaded with gravy and very good. Lucky Hare produces a solid line-up of beers that include a variety of styles from IPA & Bitters to Stoudts & red ales. I'd have to say that my favorite thing about this place is the outdoor patio views. You get great sunsets here and are on the Seneca lake waterfront amongst the marina boats. These make it worth a visit. Also, these are the two reasons I'm giving this a three star rating and not a two. I do have to say that I didn't find the food or the service that exceptional. There is a lot of fried foods and what I would consider one step up from bar foods. The clam chowder and the ahi tuna salad were good choices. Their cheese burger was ok but not great. The staff seemed rushed, weren't really smiling or engaging or seemingly having fun. None were that memorable or made an impression including the bar tender. I requested to be seated in a specific area outdoors but even though there were tables still available they said it was "too busy". Before I even got my first drink they were seating other guests at those same tables for newer arriving guests. Yes, I noticed. It wasn't even close to closing or full capacity but most of the evening I felt like everyone working there were trying to rush us out the door so that they could go home. We had ordered an exceptional amount of food and drinks just so we could try a wide selection of their offerings. There were only two of us but we literally had three full drinks on the table and another full meal of uneaten food yet and the waitress was asking us if we were ready to leave and check out. In general, sure I might stop in for a quick drink and a view on a sunny day but I wouldn't entertain eating there again or spending my valuable time there. There are far better choices in the town of Watkins Glen.
