Grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella cheese, side of fries.
Shannon C.

We done here frequently as the food and service are always consistently good. This particular visit we stopped for early lunch and our group had both breakfast and lunch entrees. My chicken sandwich and chicken pot pie soup were delicious. My daughter had the chocolate chip Mickey Mouse pancake with bacon and she loves it. My husband had a skillet and enjoyed it. The only reason I took a star away is that the price increases over the past year have been a lot here; more than other local restaurants and they charge a credit card fee which I think is ridiculous. Other than that, can't complain.

The place was super busy staff running their butts off. Evidently the kitchen could not produce the food fast enough. We were seated promptly, but had to wait for the traditional chips and salsa. The hostess never helped wait staff she just stood by her station stone faced. While we waited even longer for water. Finally a waitress apologized you could see she was exhausted. I feel bad for service staff in these trying times of being short staffed. But, Ms. Hostess! Sorry that is when you need to step up to the plate and be a team player! I hope the food is worth the wait? Got our drinks and ordered our food right away. If it was not for the side salad that came quickly as part of the granddaughters meal, this party of four, probably would have walked out! They never offered to refill our complementary chips and salsa platter. The food finally came and after anticipating a delicious meal that was presented, served hot and, pleasing to the eye. The flavors fell short. Nothing special, nothing eye popping or amazingly delicious. Just slap it on your plate average mess hall, cafeteria style flavored plan Jane food. If? we stop in again in the future for sure it won't be on a Saturday night. Not impressed. Nothing to brag about. There are so many Mexican restaurants around, if they plan to be in business for the long haul. They really need to figure out their service time problems and make the food taste better then it looks. Left Disappointed!

Chicken Chorizo Omelet

Met my friend for breakfast and was not disappointed! The staff was friendly and loved the ambiance of the place. The food was even better! I ordered the Chicken Chorizo Omelet and ate the whole thing, which I actually struggle to eat breakfast. It even came with a side of pancakes but needed a to go box since the main dish was so filling. Can't wait to come back!

This is a great place to eat in the middle of nowhere. A bit pricier than expected, but I wasn't mad about it because the food that I got was absolutely delicious. I got the steak fajitas. The best was soooo tender and flavorful. It comes with carrots and tomatoes sautéed with the meat, onions and peppers and they were happy to oblige to my request to omit the carrots and tomatoes. You're also allowed to substitute the rice at no extra cost, unless you asked for veggies or sweet potato fries. I thought that was cool. This meal was $20. But it was filling and had I wanted, I could have had leftovers but I gave them to my friend. My friend ordered the chicken loco moco. This was really good! I can see why it's popular! It was chicken filled with chorizo, topped with a creamy verde sauce and it was very yummy! They have a weekly drink. This week was a passion fruit mimosa that came in a 21oz glass; it was absolutely delicious. $6. Our server was hands down the nicest. And genuinely so. Like not forcing a tip nice. I appreciated that! And he didn't hound, so we had a nice talkative meal together without regular interruptions; just enough to make sure we were good. It was a great balance! A wonderful night out. I'd definitely go back!

If they are busy don't go. They will just put at a table with no server. You will sit there until you will leave.

But we weren't in a hurry. My friend had the Denver omelette which she enjoyed. I had the steak and eggs. While the steak was cooked to order, there was a lot of grizzle, so probably more than half of it didn't get eaten. Not sure it was worth the $23. On the upside, the hashbrowns were absolutely perfect! Portions were generous and it's a cute little place. It was quiet with enough parking. I wouldn't order the steak again or make a special trip for Cafe 36, but if you happen to be in the area, it's a decent place for breakfast. FYI: the menu prices are cash, for credit card payments there's a 3.5% up charge. The only mention of this is via a sign at the cash register. Also, alcoholic beverages were on the menu, but not available because they didn't renew their liquor license.

After she brought our drinks she left the table and didn't come back for quite a while. After finally taking our order, we waited for almost an hour before our food came out. When we asked if our food was almost ready, we were told it was about to come out. That was 20 minutes before we received it. The food was good, but definitely not worth the price.

Came here for all you can eat Easter brunch buffet. It was very busy when we arrived for our 11am…read morereservation. Our table was ready, and we were seated. The variety of food choices was excellent (menu in pics). The staff did a great job of keeping the food filled. Place was decorated very cute for Easter. They did have a sign at hostess stand that if you were a party of 6 or less, you could have your table for 75 minutes. This made the older people I was with kind of "nervous" and worried about the time. The made-to-order omelettes were great. The carved ham had good flavor, but was cold. Everything else i tried was good. Brunch was $45/ person which seems high, but comparatively, seems like an ok price. However, on our party of 5, they added a "large party" charge which was 20% of the bill, which ended up being the tip. We didn't see our server much, but the people clearing dishes from the table did a good job coming around often.

I was happy to see that they were a vendor at the Waterford River Rhythms concert at the Village Hall Park. They offered a couple of sandwiches. We got one of each. The Italian Beef and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap. Both were good. The beef was tender, and so was the chicken. Couple of suggestions. They add the giardiniera into the beef. My preference is to have it available as a condiment, so you can add as little/much as you like. The wrap was large, and stuffed full of chicken, which would think was a good thing, but it could have benefited from having a bit more of the green salad fixings inside. To give it more textures and flavors. Also, they only have one type of potato chip, plain (and boring). How about offering another choice (Sea Salt and Vinegar)? Super nice service, and it's a reasonable value for what you get.
