It is a obnoxious wait time and it leaves me in an almost road rage sense because this inconvenience turned into I'm so late oh my god I am so late to my meetings. Guess this just wasn't my "cup of tea" (pun intended). As soon as I walked in, Jesus was in my face, everywhere. The religious music was blasting, as if they were trying to put the fear of god in me. Okay, I thought maybe I'll try it out... I am a student. I study a lot.. and I just couldn't. I felt like the music got louder, the Jesus statues were staring at me. And I couldn't focus. The food was awful, I usually am a huge foodie and not picky at all. I got their breakfast burrito and I couldn't finish it. The egg was just mashed hard boiled egg, the tomato sauce tasted like canned tomatoes and it was just real greasy. You only get wifi for 3 hours, then you have to buy something else. I love the idea of this place. The employees are nice. You can hang out (and spread out). The music is not offensive. However, the other religious items on the walls and shelves is alittle over the top. Do not go to this place for the coffee. They don't know how to steam milk properly. I love this coffee shop. It has one of the most wide open spaces with plenty of tables and areas to have meetings. I work from home so need a good place to have meetings. The location is just off I-205 right next to the place (Harley dealership) with the big American flag so it is easy to give directions and tell people how to get here. It has a very professional feel to the inside. It is also nice and clean. I love bring my contacts here and at times when I cannot get anything done in my home office I come hang out here for a few hours and get our of my rut. Homey neighborhood cafe with an awesome seating arrangement. It's our living room away from home. This is the perfect place to meet up with friends and a fine venue for music and events. You really do run into everyone here. This essential mainstay of the Gladstone community is staffed by sweet, kind, and attentive people. Unfortunately, they can't really make a proper caffe latte. Portland is a coffee mecca and there is little excuse for settling, if you're actually looking for professionally crafted espresso drinks. Classic mistakes here that everyone makes: overheated frothing creates large bubbles (as opposed to silky microfoam) that collapse into a hot mess. The coffee has a bitter, burnt taste and there isn't even a detectable trace of crema beneath the stark-white flavorless foam and the steamed milk drowns out the coffee flavor. No amount of sweetening can rescue that. The caramel sauce isn't quite thick enough... Whether it's the machines, the method, or the extremely young baristas, I will be ordering other things on the menu until something changes. As a confessed coffee snob, I simply can't order anything but the best, according to my own palette. I really don't hold it against them because only an elite minority of cafés actually do it right. The staff here is always friendly but they are sloooooooooow. I appreciate the variety in latte flavors. I think they need to adjust their machines the hot drinks are not hot enough and cold drinks are luke warm. Staff needs more barista training. read more

I recently was meeting someone to talk about some serious stuff, and we looked on Yelp to find a coffee shop that was a neutral half-way meeting point. So we went here blind, hoping it would be adequate for us to sit a while and not be bothered. I was really surprised by how cozy and warm it felt inside...the outside is a dud; but when you are inside its really a surprise! The floor plan is a little angular and interesting, and there are loads of cozy places to converse. I only had a regular cup of coffee, and it was good. Lots of people were eating breakfast sandwiches and they looked and smelled amazing. I would say don't judge this book by its cover...it's really great inside! read more

I love this place! It's my favorite place to go for coffee in Gladstone. If you're in a hurry there's a drive through but if you can go inside I highly suggest you do. Great cozy atmosphere and there's sometimes live music. Very cute place and kind employees. Quality food and drinks. I haven't gone there in a long time because at least half of the time they get my food order wrong. I decided to try the place again after about 8 months of deciding getting incorrect food for an expensive price wasn't worth my hard earned money. Go figure, my food order is wrong again. Their coffee is one of my favorites.. the Carmel Mocha.. so rich and creamy, the service takes time, but thats because everything is fresh and they take their time talking to you! Because of its location, several of us have met at Crossroads once a week this summer. I really want to like the place, but I have yet to experience a good cup of coffee there. I'm not that picky about coffee, but at Crossroads, the coffee is in a pump pot for self-service, and every time I've been there, it's lukewarm and blah. The pump pot is hard to reach, and the cream pot has been empty or close to empty every time I've been there. I don't know what brand of coffee they use, but 7-11 coffee is much better and cheaper, too. I think if a place calls itself a "coffee" shop, the coffee should be better than I can get at a convenience store! It should also be fresh and hot. read more

We go to Crossroads every week at least once. It's mellow, and service is consistently good. Great coffee and excellent selection of teas. Good for a family with small children, business meetings, casual conversation, and great low calorie muffins too. Manager is personable yet runs a tight ship. Young people behind the counter are polite and accommodating.
