Crossroads is a friendly restaurant on a well traveled part of Kirkwood Highway. Do not expect anything exotic or trendy here. On the other hand, I would say the meals are consistent, the place is kept up well, and is clean. The wait staff always seems friendly. The food is not necessarily out of this world gourmet; however, it reminds me of good, home-cooked meals. I do stop here occasionally. One thing to be aware of: if you are under 50 years of age, you will feel like you are 20 years younger than the average customer in that place. read more

We have eaten here a few times at it has been good. This time it was horrible and we won 't go back. My mom ordered salmon and mashed potatoes, potatoes were not homemade they were a shallow white color, very bland, instant and we asked. I ordered the special wrap it was chicken, provolone, spinach, roasted red peppers on a tomato basil wrap. Call me clueless, I thought it would be hot and grilled. It was not, it came out the first time chicken and lettuce, wrong, the second time it came out chicken, cold spinach and a piece of one roasted pepper, one inch in diameter, third time I got a fajita wrap, which was fair. Go to March Road Diner or the diner on Marsh where the pizza hut used to be. They have slamming wraps. Not coming back to Crossroads, something has changed. read more

I stopped by for breakfast with a friend one weekday morning. I was surprised how busy it was, but we got seated right away. They have weekday special pricing, which will save you a buck or two on some of the meals. I just got eggs and breakfast meat. Sausage was very good. Coffee was not so good. Eggs were fine. We usually go to Hollywood Diner, but Crossroads is closer for us. We dropped in for a breakfast. Line was out the door. The host assured us it would be 10 minutes or less. The line moved quickly. 9 1/2 minutes later, we were seated. We were pleasantly surprised at the creative, non-dinerish items like pumpkin lattes and a variety of fun pancakes choices. The older waitress gave that comfortable feel of home. A snappy and sarcastic server would have made this diner experience a homerun. read more

Great place for kids or if you want breakfast for dinner. It's kind of like Denny's or Big Boy but better and with a personal touch. They have a big, varied menu with daily specials - Tuesday is burger night & usually the most crowded. I've never waited more than 15 minutes to seat 4 people even when the line is out the door. Visited this morning hoping for a great breakfast experience! There were three in my party.. was seated promptly and was greeted by a waitress.. took drink order which took 10 mins to arrive, then we ordered... all three entrees were either cold or wrong.. a manager came to our table to ask if everything was ok and we expressed our thoughts... the manager did correct the mistake and cold food.. my poached soft eggs came out with solid yokes in the center.. :-( she did reorder but by then the rest of my breakfast was cold.. our thoughts of Crossroads for breakfast is next time we will pass! read more

I have been to this restaurant 3 times now and always make sure to visit when I am in the area, which is not very often, but I am always excited to go here when we do. I have never had a bad experience here. It's kind of like a diner in terms of their menu but with a bit classier atmosphere. The entrees are reasonably priced and most come with a lot of good sides. The herb stuffed chicken is amazing! The servers and staff are very friendly and there usually is not a wait for a table, the only problem I encountered is the one time I went and there was a wait, it was more of like a lineup which felt very unorganized. Otherwise this is a really great place and deserves 5 stars in my book. read more

If your of any brown complexion this is not the place to frequent. I'm sure the food is great but the service is subpar. I waited and watched my waitress tend to all the non brown folks around me & not even so much as acknowledge my existence let alone offer me water or a routine I'll be right with you. I drive by this restaurant all the time and I decided to come in here this time. I came with my girlfriend and the chicken parm was a bit tough for her liking. I got the classic reuben sandwich and that was the best thing of this place. If this is the reason everyone comes here then I completely understand, but the food was just par. The standard 'mom & pop' restaurant. The prices were good and food was average, but the reuben was phenomenal. That sandwich is the only reason it is getting a 3 star. HORRIBLE!!!!!....take a ride to the Glass Kitchen or Gildays on 40...Great food and honest fair pricing with awesome service. .the food at crossroads is terrible. .the service is so so. The Hollywood Grill on rt.202 will smoke this place anyday!!..I am disturbed because I live in this area and have to drive kinda far to eat a decent hot breakfast when I feel the urge....my opinion probably means nothing to the regulars but for those who care about really good hot food try my other recommendations. ..you will also save a bundle..Crossroads charges way to much for the cold nasty food they present...good day :) read more

this is my spot when I am in the mood for a home cooked meal but don't want to do the cooking myself ! they always add new items or monthly specials to the menu so you don't get sick of the selection - especially fond of the monthly menu as it tends to go with the season . the only bad things I can say about this place are that they don't deliver and don't do take out on weekend mornings but I understand why - they are always super busy . read more

We love this place. Staff is always wonderful and attentive. Tuesday night is $5.99 burgers and they are awesome. Their French Fries are awesome. Save room for dessert they have delicious baked goods. Our favorites are the coconut lemon cake and the carrot cake. If you like ice cream try it with some hot fudge. YUMMY. Went for lunch. Wasn't busy, but had to wait. Hostess all but threw menus on table and was not friendly. Side salad had a rotten grape tomato in it, but otherwise was fine. Had stuffed peppers, which tasted as if they had no seasoning whatsoever, not even s&p.....extremely bland. Side of mashed w/gravy was paltry and tasted like it came from a box. Service was ok but slow, our food was lukewarm and I think it got forgotten for some time. My entree's plate never left the table all through desert. I felt it was pricey for lunch, sandwiches mostly $10+. Caters to the over 65 set. Will not return. read more

A former Howard Johnson's, this restaurant is basically a diner and the local favorite of senior citizens. The ice cream and breakfast are usually fine; I've had a decent lunch and a horrible dinner - enough so that I will not ever go back. Completely overpriced for dinner and nothing that all four of us had was worth it. The service is usually good but can also be hit or miss. Be forewarned - this is not a place for dinner. It's more of a breakfast spot, so-so for lunch.That being said, if you are a fan of breakfast you will most likely enjoy Crossroads. If you get there before 11am on weekdays you can even save a dollar or two on the breakfast specials which are good with plenty to eat. There are senior selections as well, if you prefer less on your plate. Speaking of seniors, most of the clientel during breakfast is over 50 years young, many way over and they seem to enjoy this place. Had lunch here one time, not too impressed. Went for dinner twice and regretted both times. Overpriced and not good at all. We went there to eat. We sat down at the bar stools at 1:15. The Lady came to us round 1:20 to ask what we wanted to drink and we already knew what we wanted. We were the only black couple in the place. I ordered Steak and Eggs, and my girl ordered Pancakes Sausage n Eggs (I think). There was 4 other couples there which we was 3rd to sit down. We got our drinks about 3 minutes later which was cool. Another couple sat down to the left of us after 10 minutes. At 1:35, Everyone have recieved their order except us. I knew the Steak was gonna take long, but I wanted it only Medium-Well. At 1:45 this lady comes to us and says the steak was not done yet, and the "Boss" is overseeing it as in rushing it. The couple next to us told us that it never happend like that with them and they come there every weekend. So i paid 3 bucks for our drinks and left. read more

Wow! What can I say. We will never go back! I had read the reviews before meeting friends there, so it's our fault for going. Food was only fair, prices were good BUT waitress was obnoxious and especially rude to my husband with her comments. It started when she asked what we wanted to drink and he said sweet tea, her mark was nope we have raspberry tea. A friend who was with us said she had tea (unsweetened), so my husband said that's okay. After that it went downhill. Making remarks about we only have home made food but yet kept asking our friend how her prime rib was, says "they" finally" got it right after all winter and if it wasn't right she take it back, too many questions from her made me wonder "what should be wrong with it". She made sarcastic remarks about being from Maryland. But she insisted on making little remarks. I even told her to be nice to him because he is a great tipper. Well, he left her more than she deserved! But I guess that's what you get when you get a x-bartender as your server. Did I say we'll never go back! read more
