really cute atmosphere with ample seating, a small bar area and even a counter for carry out service. breakfast , lunch and dinner served. service was fast and friendly. semi open kitchen with a wide range of menu choices.

Kitchen was slow. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't hot. That means the food sat there unnoticed by the server. Potatoes burnt. English muffin was tough. Omelette overcooked. Ice coffee watery. Wife's grits were cold. No one came back to check on us after bringing the food. Seems like they know better than to ask how everything is. We didn't have time to send anything back because we have a flight to catch. We will not be back.

Here on business and hungry. I heard about this little diner in the airport. I heard the owner is from the United Kingdom, who visited Nantucket in 1987 and never left. Though the prices are rather steep, the food is good. I had a delicious chicken salad sandwich that had a combination of tender, seasoned chicken chunks mixed with a creamy mayo-based dressing, complemented by crunchy fresh tomatoes and lettuce, sandwiched between soft delicious toasted bread. The flavors were well-balanced, The clam chowder was a winner as well. The French fries were undercooked and a bit of a disappointment, though. My buddy Hernan had a delicious cobb salad with grilled chicken that he said was very good. The coffee was not bad either. Great service and delicious food set in a real airport . The best part of this diner, No TSA screening required! :)

Five dinners ordered. ''Large Party'' charge added.

My daughter and four friends got together for dinner before school begins. After waiting to be seated, as the sign requested, they were finally acknowledged and told to sit anywhere. Service was extremely slow, despite the restaurant being half empty. When her fish and chips arrived, they were greasy, and a half shade less than burnt. No lemon, no tartar sauce. Plates were cleared and it was an excessive time before the bill was brought. I had my daughter send a photo of the bill. First thing I noticed was that the guest count said 6 when there were only five of them. Next thing I noticed was that a 20% tip was already added under a "large party'' heading. I'm guessing that charge kicks in at 6 guests which is why their party of five was miscounted. ( Most restaurants consider large parties to be 8 or more.) I'd recommend eating anywhere else. Service has been horrible here for over a decade. They get away with it because they are the only thing available at the airport.

Home fries need to be spectacular to impress me, and these were truly out of this world. I could eat them every day! I have no complaints about anything on my plate. The scrambled eggs were perfectly prepared (I asked for them well-done) and of course the home fries were the star of the show. My latte was also very good, and these mug it was served in was so cute. I tried a bite of my friend's chocolate chip waffle, which was recommended to us by a coworker who said it was the best on the island. I can't say I have tried any other waffles on the island, but this one was quite delicious and it would be difficult to top it. Even though it was busy late on Saturday morning, my party of two was seated right away. Sure, you're sitting close to the people next to you, but I do not mind. The place is well-decorated and has a pleasantly clean vibe about it. I am looking forward to trying dinner here as well in the near future!

The food was delicious and expensive. We had the asparagus salad and summer salad. Both were delicious and fresh. Steak frites were delicious and the serving size was decent. Duck carnitas was the hit! The duck was delicious and tender. The toppings (pickled onions, pickled veggies, salsa) with the corn tortillas were just right. You prep your own tacos with all the fillings. This was our favorite and we enjoyed the unique concept to use duck! It was an expensive meal but worth it! Service was great. We started with the crudités as an appetizer, and we both had the asparagus salad as our lunch - to die for! Very, very good! Priced nicely, and no negatives whatsoever. This place is always packed for dinner, so we were glad that on a Wednesday we were able to waltz in for luncheon. A must do when on island.

A great breakfast. Old school. Diner-style grill restaurant. Everything was made to order and they offered very good and complicated breakfasts: avocados, lobster, and poached this that and the other. We heard about the doughnuts. Never had one. In September of '24 the Inky reported that the Downyflake was to permanently close. So we made a day trip just to try the doughnuts. In fact, we did this in October the weekend before they closed. Off of Straight Wharf, a taxi ride out, bought a few doughnuts, uber'ed back to town, got some coffee from The Hub, and walked and sat on our bench on Easy Street over looking the Wharf Rat Club. Heaven. Everyone should experience Nantucket. I will say, we were lucky and happy to experience the doughnuts. The doughnuts, yes, are still sticking to my ribs a year later. More oil than the Exxon Valdez. We will miss you old friend. Even though the rumor is a new one will open... someday.

My sister who has lived on ACK for 30+ years loves their doughnuts - and yes they are VERY good. My favs are the chocolate frosted and the apple cider (in season). These really are small doughnuts - so you can eat 2 without too much guilt. I was craving some linguica sausage - I grew up eating it on pizzas and breakfast sandwiches in the summer in New Beford, MA. I saw that the menu had breakfast sandwiches (with your choice of meat) - Unfortunately they waitress informed me that linguica was not an option on this sandwich - which it really should be!. I opted for a side of the linguini and a english muffin to craft my own sandwich (AND - Bonus to save room for a doughnut or 2) It was tasty - but not the linguica of my childhood that oozed red grease, this one was pretty lean and more dense than I remember. I still ate every bite. The highlight was the doughnut dessert, these have not changed in 20 years.
