Sicilian Tuna Sandwich - pretty good
    Jess L.

Provisions is the place to visit for sandwiches. There's something for everyone on the menu, and while the sandwiches are pretty basic, they're absolutely delicious. The ambiance is pretty chill and minimal thrills. There are only a few tables, so I'd suggest not expecting to sit there and maybe become pleasantly surprised. (There are lots of seats in the square and space outside.) solid sandwich place wish there were bathrooms

We visited here recently on a rainy day. It was full but we just waited a bit before we were able to get tables. The sandwiches are great and fresh. I got a turkey terrific sandwich which is one of their specialties here. It comes in Portuguese bread which just tastes like white bread to me but super fresh. It's definitely popular on the island. The turkey is a bit like deli meat style turkey and I appreciated that the cranberry sauce was not overly sweet so it made for a perfectly balance bite. I tried some other sandwiches from family members such as the curry chicken salad and the BLT and they were all good. Overall this is a good place for a quick bite but seating is limited. Counter service.

Really delicious sandwiches but like most things on this island - very overpriced for what it is! I got to try the famous Turkey Terrific, which was great but for almost $18 I'm not sure if I'd do it again. Worth the try, but maybe just once. The breakfast sandwich ($10+) can be skipped. The curried chicken salad sandwich on the other hand... tempting. I may or may not do that again for $18. For the cost it's on the smaller side and just wish it was at least a bigger portion, but they are really great sandwiches made with such fresh ingredients. Convenient location, perfect for grabbing before you hop onto the ferry, but remember to account for lines - it can get pretty busy here.

My family and I decided to visit Nantucket for a day in which we arrived in the afternoon after taking the Steamship Authority boat. We stopped at Provisions for lunch. I wasn't sure what to get, the turkey terrific was recommended by the staff. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get that because I usually don't eat stuffing in a sandwich, but usually on a just a plate once a year, haha. But I decided to get it. One bite in, and my life was changed. It was absolutely delicious!! So in short, I recommend getting that sandwich!

I don't know where they get their meat and produce from but OMG it is so fresh. Best turkey ever. I could literally eat the red onion by the handful...it's that good. I always make my own sandwich -- turkey, provolone, lettuce, onion, and chipotle mayo--- just because I like my combo so much, but I've tried their other sandwiches and they're amazing!!! And they are FAST despite the always long line. And the workers are always so nice!

PROVISIONS is conveniently located near the pier and practically in the midst of downtown. Found the most selection of Nantucket Crisps. Short line to order, and it's pretty quick. ORANGE SCONE and RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE CROISSANT are pretty good.

Got a late lunch, early dinner. Luckily before they closed. Shared a ham and cheese sandwich. Fantastic taste. Loved the Cuban mayonnaise. Quick service.

One of the best sandwiches on Nantucket. The Turkey Terrific is so famous - they even sell t-shirts about them here. A turkey terrific is on Portuguese bread, with smoked sliced turkey, stuffing, cranberry and mayo. - perfection! I don't know if this was an anomaly - but the one we ordered had WARM stuffing - which really sent it over the top. Half is really all you need - so find a friend!

Delicious sandwich, you can taste the quality ingredients. Great flavors. Quick and friendly service. Eat inside or take out for the boat. I had read about this place and indeed, a sandwich treasure trove!

We were scouting out places to grab a quick lunch and ducked in to check out the menu. We were impressed by the "next level" sandwiches and came back just as the lunch rush was starting. We enjoyed our selections (e.g., curried chicken salad) and a lovely local hibiscus mint drink. The staff was young and friendly. It filled up quickly while we ate, so it definitely seems like a popular lunch spot.

    Caprese Sandwich on Portuguese bread
    Megan W.

This was my first stop after landing on the island! I heard such great things about their sandwiches so I had to grab a bite to eat here when I was starving from being on the plane. I ordered the Caprese but unfortunately they were out of the ciabatta that it comes on. I came during early lunch too so I was a little sad that they were already out of the bread. Instead, I got it on Portuguese bread which still taste great. I love the heavy bite of tomato/basil and cheese and the pesto. I also picked up a refreshing Nantucket Nectars juice! You can grab it to go and eat it wherever, but there is also public seating around and a great view ahead to enjoy your food at.

Delish food and friendly service! Can get a little crazy during season because of popularity but staff handles it all very well.

There was a line but it moved pretty quickly and efficiently. Staff was friendly. I also loved the ambiance inside. Was very light & airy but cozy. The coffee was great too! I had an iced latte with sugar free vanilla. Now onto the sandwiches. The first day, I kept it basic with a sausage, egg & cheese. The sourdough bread was incredible and made the sandwich. On day 2 I decided to get the bb sandy which had bacon, egg, cheese, tomato, & sriracha aioli. Okay, this one was incredible!!! Not that the SEC wasn't good, it just wasn't as special. I didn't get a picture of the bb sandy but just trust me. It was perfect. Last note on the sandwiches: they are HUGE. The first day I ate the whole thing and was full for a very long time. The second day I ate half for breakfast & the second half for lunch. It was perfectly proportioned for two meals for me.

It was just a few doors from my hotel, and I came here a lot! Absolutely love the vibes!! Casual, yet nice. It was my go-to to chill in the mornings and early afternoons. Great place to grab pastries, sandwiches, etc. Only downside is that there aren't a lot of tables, and the place easily fills up, but they do have takeout. Their sandwiches are especially good because of their sourdough bread! I also like their cowboy cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies (even tho I'm not typically a fan of oatmeal raisin), and pumpkin muffins. I wouldn't recommend their croissants (lacked flakiness) tho.

So to be able to have something different was a great change of pace from just your typical sandwich. I believe my Wife got the smoked turkey sandwich, added cheese and red onion. If you stop in at Something Natural you have to get the egg salad. They also have an assortment of local drinks and juices to get with your food. They were more like 70/30 cut. Totally not a big deal but the way the ham and cheese were presented left a lot to be desired. The ham was in a pile in the middle so there was no meat on either end. The cheese were the smallest pieces I've ever seen and I thought they forgot the mustard. Upon examination I did see it. Almost invisible to the naked eye. Just sloppy. At the window I saw the confusion of the girls making the sandwiches. They appeared young and flustered. Not sure there were and supervisors around. Hopefully this was due to early season training and it will improve.

The produce? I spend all my money on their tomatoes. Anything they grow, you should buy, anything they don't grow is way overpriced. If you have kids, they have a nice little play structure right by the picnic tables (about 6-8 picnic tables) which is fun for my 3 year old, but also my 7 year old.
