new 2019 Kia. When I took my car for test drive it had just 1 mile on it, however, I noticed a white vertical scratch on door about 3 inches long. It is a black car and the scratch was very obvious. I had a friend with me who saw it and I pointed it out to salesman. I chose to buy that car assuming that they would never allow a buyer to take a car home with a scratch in the paint. I called prior to the pick up date to again mention and remind them about the scratch and that my expectation was that the it be repaired to new condition prior to me signing and taking delivery on the car. When I arrived on day of pick up, I asked to view the car right away to make sure the scratch was gone. Initially the scratch had been concealed and was no longer white in color, however, the shape and depression of the scratch was still visible and it was now black-ish in color, but, still there! They promised to repair it while I was there signing my paperwork. I have a service ticket for that , it says " WE OWE " on it. After I viewed the scratch again, it looked invisible to me, the paint in that area was shiny and black and perfect looking. I took the car home and after a heavy rain, BOOM, the scratch became whitish in color again and very obvious! I called right away and was told 'come on down and we will fix it.' I questioned why I didn't need an exact time, they said to just bring it in. I live far away it is over 1 1/2 hours drive. I drove there with intent to permanently fix it. I expected to wait for some time or receive a loaner car that day as it would take a few hours or more for them to buff the scratch out, wet sand or possibly paint the car to permanently repair that scratch. I am not sure how the following happened. Once outside to look over the scratch with the sales manager, it was miraculously gone again. I feel that while I was in or around the building someone went outside to my car, rubbed a rag with some sort of wax or applied some sort of glaze or polish and temporarily concealed the scratch again! I found the sales manager to be rude, patronizing, and unprofessional! He was making jokes about the scratch disappearing and when questioned he made me feel very uncomfortable. I called him out on his scratch disappearing act and told him that I would be very annoyed if I went home and the scratch reappeared. After just 2 days at home, the scratch is back again. I refuse to ever deal with Crowley again. If they are being this dishonest with a scratch, I wonder what other things they get away with. They have had 3 chances to repair a thin scratch on a brand new 2019 car. One of those chances involved a long drive and inconvenience to me. I called Kia, their advice is that this is an issue with the dealer and not Kia. Through communication with all parties, the sales manager would now like me to return yet again to allow them the opportunity to fix it. At this point I am so upset that I may choose to skip the long drive and live with a permanent scratch that was there before I even agreed to purchase the car. This could be what the dealer was hoping for all along, that I would simply give up and live with a scratched car. This is the feeling I am getting from that dealership and it was not a pleasant experience at all. Be wise and choose your dealer carefully. read more

THE MOST DISHONEST & CROOKED DEALERSHIP I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. On February 17, I spent time at Crowley Kia located in Bristol, Ct. Before going to the bank and putting down a deposit, I was assured by Ryan Lanza in Sales that my deposit was 100% refundable if I decided not to go w/ the vehicle. I was hesistant as the receipt didn't state any terms. Ryan assured me they were a reputable business and would stand by what they told me. The following week, I called Ryan and told him that I would not be going w/ the vehicle. He said he would get the refund mailed to me. I also spoke with Tom in Sales the following week. He said Ryan mispoke but that they would honor their terms with me and mail me a check within the next few days. Weeks went by w/ no return phone call. I called this morning (March 4th) and spoke w/ Mike, Manager of sales who said I would not be refunded as his Sales people mispoke. This dealership is crooked and has stolen from me. They do not stand by their agreements. I want a refund immediately. I will make sure everyone knows about their deceitful business practices and will write every review possible telling the public of thier dishonesty. They are complete LIARS and THIEVES. read more

Had the most incredible experience buying a new car at Crowley Kia in Bristol! It was such a pleasure to do business at a car dealership with integrity. A business is only as good as it's employees and this business far exceeded our expectations. We had the pleasure of dealing with Rob Boyle and Kara who made our purchase effortless, not to mention Peter with his sense of humor. We have purchased a number of vehicles in the past at dealerships that we would never, ever return to because of their poor customer service, we were very leery as to where to go. I researched Kia's online and received many e-mails from car dealerships soliciting our business, we chose Crowley's in Bristol because they were the only one that called us, which was a nice personal touch. This review is for the Service department, specifically for the help I recieced from Ed Donahue and manager Scott Patterson. I have an 05 Kia Spectra that has been worked on by a number of people. Lord only knows at what point my car was improperly handled before I sought out to have my spark plugs done by these Professional Mechanics at Crowley.By far this has been the most pleasant experience because of there honesty and willingness to help me. They were attentive to my concerns after bringing the vehicle back to recheck spark plugs I had put on by them a month ago. Turns out, a previous mechanic did not properly secure my main connection to the spark plugs, and instead of being pinned to another large service charge both Ed and Scott offered to fix the issue immediately with no damage done to me! This could have been a nightmare, but fear not, these guys are honest, attentive and surely know what it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied. I walked away just a short hour later with the problem completely fixed, I would recommend anyone and everyone to get there done here! You'll walk away knowing your car was in great hands! I only gave 1 star because negatives aren't allowed. I gave a "refundable" deposit that wasn't refunded. They screwed up the contract even though I was clear that I wanted my deposit back. Then, 6 days after buying a car the sunroof starts leaking. I bought the car and drove 150 miles to pick it up. Peter, the used car manager refused to work with me about the sunroof. The car also came with no floor mats which wasn't mentioned when I asked about the car over the phone. So 6 days into my car I have a leaky sunroof, I'm out my deposit, and I have to buy $350 floor mats. Go somewhere else. Read the reviews on Google. I am not the only one to have these problems. I only hope my review saves someone else the problems I am having. read more

I love my new car and they gave me a nice discount. However, I found this dealer to be misleading when discussing the price. He also did things out of order which made me trust them even less. For instance, the salesman wanted to have my credit card number before agreeing on a price. Then he wanted to download my phone into the car computer before we had even signed the papers. To me it was not a done deal yet, so it was odd. The finance person talked very fast and bullied me regarding the extended warranty. She was visibly angry that I didn't buy it and was barely civil after finally accepting that I was saying no to those options. As I was driving home I realized she didn't give me a copy of the sales contract. I called and texted until they mailed it to me. I know dealers try to get the biggest profit possible, but it sure took the fun out of buying the car because they made me feel like all they cared about was the profit. The bottom line is that I am happy with my car so I just won't go there another time. read more

I arrived at the dealer about 20 minutes later, and then waited more than hour without being able to test either car, so I left. To his credit, the salesman did call me just now (an hour later) to apologize. We had an excellent experience here - we were so pleased with our conversations over the phone with our salesman Rob Boyle, I drove 2 hours from MA to this dealership to buy our new Sorrento. Rob and his manager Mike Buccheri were very helpful and open (and honest) from beginning to end, and we really do feel like we got the best deal. A mistake was made on the pricing (not their fault - just an oversight on our part), and they totally remedied the "mistake" after the contract had been signed. SHADY!! BUYER BEWARE! sales staff is not transparent. Do your homework first. Do not finance through them. They will increase your interest from agreed upon rate and not tell you. Do NOT sign blank papers with Rubin the finance guy. Review the purchase order 1st before signing anything!! Artur in sales will give you a numbers and say you can take the car home tonight, however, his mgr mike will say no, we can only do such and such in regards to price and increase it. Too much back and forth between sales person and the gm Mike. Get the bottom line price of the car 1st. Do not accept any other answer. If they refuse or stall or try to incorporate your trade do not allow them to distract you! Get the price of the new car first. If a dealer cannot give you a bottom line price, walk away!! They are shady! If they offer to match your interest rate, do not do it. They get a cut from the bank, and they will change it. You will always get a cheaper rate yourself! Now for trade in, go to three different auto makers and get quotes. Your lowest offer will NOT come from crowley. They will tell you how the other dealer padded it to give you more elsewhere, not true. Worst experience in my life buying a car there. Thankfully, I ended up not buying it there!! Phew... read more

I don't know if people are just naive or what? I purchased My Kia Sorento back in 2014. Yah the sales staff was so nice and friendly blah blah blah. Then I had to have service done Just last month June 2017. My car was making clunking noises when stopping and driving. I was told by the service department that it was my strut mounts and a bearing. Had that changed. Did not fix the noise. So brought it back with another ride out with the technician. I left the car there. Got a call saying they don't know what the noise and they are stumped. Then I get told they were taking parts off a used Kia to try on my car. Then I get another call saying they sold the car they were taking the used parts off of to try on my car. Then I get a call saying they have a field tech coming out to look at my car and he wont be there till July 5, 2017. I said if you don't know what is wrong with it I am not going to drive it till then. Here it is June 23. So I go pick up a rental car from them. Had it for two days. Guess what??? They left me with no gas when I left the lot and then said they sold it and had to come pick it back up. They did supply me with yet again another rental car. I was told by Steve Miller the VP that they put a lot of hours into my car trying to find out what was wrong. A lot of hours as meaning 6 hours by Steve. I did have the pleasure of speaking to Ken Crowley, Steve Miller, Dan and Scott. Let me telling you if bull walks bull talks. So I get told they are doing me a favor for giving me a rental car and I am lucky I am not walking around. (Seriously) They all talk over you and will not I repeat will not let you talk. I have an extended warranty on my car and find out from the insurance they are paying them for the rental. So my car sat there for a month. Field Tech came out and said it was the sway bar blah blah blah. You would think they would of over nighted the parts. Oh NOOOO I just got my car back July 14, 2017. Ken does not want to know why you are not happy he will just tell you to go somewhere else. When I confronted him about what he said to me that I was lucky I wasn't walking around. I told him the Insurance is paying for that rental car. He laughed a devilish laugh and said he wasn't arguing with me. What a joke. I will never buy another Kia and I will tell everyone not too. I purchased a new 2014 Forte from Crowley 4 weeks ago. @ days after I got the car home I noticed a film on the windshield and side windows. I also noticed many scratches in the paint and "burn" marks in the paint from over buffing. When I contacted the sales manager, Ryan, he told me to take it to the body shop and "maybe" they would take care of it. The gentleman at the body shop, Dan, was awesome, saw the damage and agreed that it should be taken care of saying that the whole car needed to be clay barred to remove the contaminants. He contacted Ryan and explained what needed to be done. I brought the car back to the dealership to be repaired. All they did was wax the car. I sent an email to the dealership and got an immediate phone call from another manager by the name of Kolani. He asked what the body shop told me. After I explained to him what needed to be done he told me to bring the car in and he would make sure it was taken car of. The day I brought the car in Kolani looked at me, instructed me to bring the car to the other side of the parking lot, introduced me to a subcontracted detail guy and basically said that he and I should work it out and if I had any other problems and I should speak to his detailer. The car got another wax job, that's it. It still has a film all over it and by the 2nd wash the scratches are showing up again. I am going to take the care to a reputable, professional detailer to have the car repaired. I never met Ryan, never got a phone call to see if I was happy. Kolani never came up to me to introduce himself nor did he shake my hand. He never apologized. I was treated poorly, after the sale of course. I am amazed that after spending 20k on a brand new car the customer service was horrendous. My car looks like a used car that was abused by the previous owner and the people who sold it do not care. 4 weeks after I bought my Kia my wife also purchased a new car, a Kia Soul. We did not get that one from Crowley. If you plan on purchasing a car from here make sure you look it over before you take delivery. Worst customer service ever. read more

I purchased a 2010 GMC Yukon Denali in March of 2014. When I brought the SUV in for the first oil change I heard a knocking sound as when I drove it home while turning corners. I called the service department to complain of the noise, they looked at it and indicated that could not find nothing. Several times going forward after each oil change I complained about the noise and they indicated that they could not find anything wrong with the SUV. After going back and forth with the service department over several months I was told that even though the SUV was under warranty if they took apart the engine and found nothing I would be responsible to pay to have it put back together. I did not have the funds to pay such a fee at the time. Fast forward to another oil change I had done, they then gave me a list of repairs that needed to be done only to find out it was right after my warranty had expired. I feel that they set me up and was patching the problem so it will last so long until my warranty expired and then I would have to pay everything out of pocket get the problem fixed correctly or either they knew it would be drivable until the warranty expired. When asked about the extended warranty I had requested only then was I told by the car salesman when I asked for the monthly payments to be reduced when I bought the SUV that they cut my extended warranty. I ended up taking the SUV to have it fixed at another repair shop and it turns out that I had to replace the entire engine. This ended up costing me almost $7,000.00 out of pocket. I felt that this all could have been avoided if the service team would have been honest from the beginning as to what the problems were with the SUV. I could not just buy another SUV because I still have 4 years of payments left. read more
