I had an absolutely awful experience at the O'Reilly Auto Parts in New Britain. I came in regarding…read morea warranty issue for my motorcycle battery which I had purchased there. Yesterday, one of the associates tested my battery and charged my battery but told me that since it wasn't holding a charge, I should come back today to exchange it under warranty. He placed a new battery to charge for me to pick up today. When I returned, I was assisted by Danielle, and the experience quickly went downhill. She was extremely rude, dismissive and unprofessional from the moment I approached the counter. She raised her voice, spoke to me in a belittling tone and outright refused to honor the warranty, even though I had all the information and had just been told by another employee to come back for a replacement. To make matters worse, she threw me out of the store, which was completely uncalled for. The entire encounter was embarrassing and infuriating. I left feeling completely disrespected and I can't help but feel that her behavior may have been racially motivated based on the way she spoke to and treated me compared to other customers. She even implicated the general manager, Dylan, saying that he is aware of her "behavior" and that he is ok with it. I had to send my girlfriend to the store to buy the battery instead of being able to exchange it thru my warranty. O'Reilly Auto Parts needs to seriously address this kind of behavior. No paying customer deserves to be treated this way, especially when simply trying to resolve a legitimate warranty issue. I've always gone to O'Reilly's for parts and service, but after this experience, I will not be returning to this location, and I will be warning others to avoid it as well.

I have very mixed feelings about this location. The first…read moretime I came here (back in September), I was told that if I dropped my phone off before 3pm it would be fixed the same day. I arrived a little after that, and my phone was repaired and ready the next day with no issues -- so my first experience was positive. Four months later, my screen started malfunctioning with no physical damage, which should have been covered under warranty. I scheduled an appointment online for Monday, drove 30 minutes, and when I arrived the store was closed, even though both the website and phone system still said they were open. There was no notice or update. I called the next day before driving there again and was met with attitude about them not notifying anyone they had been closed. When I arrived later that afternoon around 4:15pm to drop off my phone, the entrance still wasn't shoveled. I had to climb through snow just to get inside. The next day, I was charged $99 by my insurance because the claim was automatically changed from "warranty" to "accidental damage," even though the repair was not accidental. (This was done by the insurance company, not the store.) When I went to pick up my phone, I was told my SIM card tray was missing -- which was not true, as it was in the phone when I handed it over. It was inside an OtterBox-style case that snaps together, so it couldn't have just fallen out. The employee I originally gave the phone to claimed it was never there, while the employee helping me at pickup (who was much kinder) offered to order a replacement. I ended up ordering one myself because either way I would have had to wait two days -- but if the store ordered it, I would have had to drive 30 minutes back to pick it up. It made more sense to just pay the $6 and have it delivered to my house. That said, I want to give huge credit to the second employee who helped me with the insurance issue. He spent nearly an hour on the phone fighting with the insurance company, dealing with dropped calls and transfers, all while still helping other customers, just to make sure I wasn't wrongly charged. He didn't have to do that, and I truly appreciate him for going above and beyond. Because of him, my experience went from incredibly frustrating to being handled with genuine care and effort. I just wish the overall process, scheduling, and communication, was more consistent and professional.

I was told the screen protectors would be ordered and in on that Thursday but to call first which I did and another associate told me they weren't there but would be tomorrow. Friday I call and was told by this same associate that only my screen protector was there, not my husband's but was confident it would be in Saturday. Saturday we went to the store (the original person I spoke with still wasn't there) but the one I had been speaking with since was. He went to get the screen protectors and apologized but the my husbands still hadn't arrived. He then proceeded to apologize with package in hand for reading the box wrong and in fact did not have my protector either! I explained these were being ordered by (P) and expected Thursday and today were told you have neither. He did apologize and stated he would tape a note (wrote it down in front of us) in the back and would order our protectors and call us immediately when they arrived. Its been two weeks!!!! I'm done with them and do not recommend this store. I feel its poorly managed. If they can't handle a small simple issue, I feel sorry for anyone with a major concern! We pay for this insurance through our cellular carrier and this is the less than basic service we are to experience? DO BETTER!!!

He was also very good regarding communications prior to his arrival. Hank was professional and very skilled regarding the repairs. He had the old batteries out and the new batteries in like it was nothing. He also give the phones a good cleaning and a once over. In addition, he sat with my wife and I to go over a number of settings that would help preserve battery life and protect privacy. That was a really nice touch. Furthermore, he offered to answer any questions we may have on the phones going forward. He also left us with his business cards. I really recommend working with Hank! With the work he did, we'll easily get another year out of our iPhones. He has his own business in addition to the work he does with iCracked. He runs iDevice Repair out of Seymour, CT.

I did have the option of him coming to my home or meeting him at a central location like a McDonald's or Dunkin donuts. I chose the home because it was much easier for me. He double checked the entire phone after he was finished with the glass replacement to be certain everything was working perfectly. I highly recommend Ngawang and his service for any of your phone or computer repairs. Don't hesitate to call him for the best service you will ever find. Thanks again, Christie from Watertown
