My wife and I purchased an 18' above ground pool from the Dallas location around 2 years ago. I can say that the customer service at both the Allen location and Dallas was amazing. They were excited to sell us a pool, and catered to us during the purchase. Well, after we bought the pool things took a change. My wife and I had questions as would any first time pool owner. What chemicals do we use, how often, etc.. We would bring in routine water samples, either at Allen or Dallas. Everytime we did so, we would get a completely different set of chemicals to use in our mineral pool. Every time we spoke with an associate or manager, it was a different direction on what to put in our pool. We were sold over $200 in pool chemicals, only to be told later, we were sold the wrong stuff. The manager apologized and said it's new staff that was hired. Ok, no problem, I've been a retail manager for 25+ years. I get it, but credit me and let me get the chemicals I should have gotten. Nope, no offer to take care of it. Just purchase the new chemicals. Absolutely ridiculous! The Allen location manager I spoke with made it good. She refunded the chemicals the Dallas location should have done to begin with. Fast forward to this season, and I'm needing a new ionizer replacement cell for my mineral pool. Dallas location says in store to my wife and I that they are out of stock, but a female manager that was the would be bringing some to the store. Give them my name and number and they will call me when it's in... No phone call. I called to follow up and it's a short "no" we don't have it. No offer to help locate one or explain why I was never called. I call Allen today, August 7th in the morning. A gentleman says he needs to ask his GM, and he promised he would call me back, being he knew Dallas never returned my call. Guess what? He never bothered to return my call. All I'm trying to do is get the proper pool supplies from the supplier I purchased my pool from, and they don't seem to care at all about my wife and I, as customers. It's always a different answer. Just go back and forth between the two stores and ask several employees and you'll get different answers every time. Why can't we just get a correct answer with what to use for our pool? Why is it after we purchased our pool, Crown doesn't seem to care at all? It's beyond ridiculous that I have to go through this much trouble to spend money with this company. When you as employees of Crown tell a customer you will call them back, do so! Two different Crown Pools in two days and nobody there can be bothered. I found my Nature's Pure ionizer replacement cell online finally and ordered it there. Would like to have purchased it with Crown, unfortunately they couldn't be bothered. John & Andrea C. read more

No reply to my request for a pool, even though I did the request in-person there and via phone. Workers at this business location said the owner of their company can make gunnite/concrete pools, & they said to email them a survey etc. Therefore I emailed them details of approx what I want, & i included a survey & sketch of where to do it. None of them ever bothered to reply to my email. I even checked with them & asked why I still hadnt received any reply, they said they will again ask their owner. That has been a long time since then & I still havent received any response from their owner. read more

They have everything in stock that you could possibly need! Very reasonable prices! They also have a giant assortment of pool toys and gadgets. read more

I inherited an above-ground Doughboy pool when I bought my house in 2009. Everyone here has been extremely helpful over the years. I would not have known how to do anything with the pool without their help. They are always polite, and always offer to help me carry heavy items to my car. I also find their prices to be competitive. Equal to or less than Amazon. read more

Have been doing business here for years. A couple of guys are helpful but very heavy set employee is rude, lazy and always condescending. I cringe every time he is working. Tried to buys individual chlorine tablets and he lies and says " we don't have anymore, you need to buy the $90 dollar bucket" no I don't I just need 4 chlorine tablets. The worst experience of my life with any contractor. Awful service from Crown Pool, JH Pool and Deck-Steve Hendrickson, and Doughboy. We signed our "contact" May 15th. Promised to have our pool and deck done by June 1st. Excavator showed up after some delays but did a good job, didn't know what size hole he was digging because Steve didn't tell him the right size. Any organized installer would lay out parts to make sure parts were there, no we found out later that the vertical upright top covers were not there, Steve told us they had to be there for the liner, after researching this with doughboy( The manufacturer) it wasn't true). As of today June 23rd we have the wall up with nothing else. We have been lied to and given misinformation from Crown Pools, Doughboy, and especially Steve Hendrickson!!!' We paid a down payment for this horrible business transaction! I warn you, don't do it. He lies like no other. I'm holding him and Crown Pools accountable for any structural damage at this point, Because our supplies have been laying in the weather(dumped off by crown pools) 3 weeks ago, been through several thunderstorms with high winds! I'm an easy to please person but, again, very upset and no one is accountable. read more

I bought a huge above ground pool from the Dallas store last summer. The guy tried to sell me every add on they had except for the liner warranty. He said he didn't feel right selling the warranty to people since the liners never have a problem. I have had to pay another company to find the leaks in my liner and they tell me there is a manufacturer defect which is a hole in the liner. Part of the package that they sold me was stairs to get in and out of the pool which is 4 1/2 feet deep. They did not have any at the time but they would not give me a credit so that I could buy some from someone else. I called the Allen store who had them in stock and they sent them to the Dallas store for me. My sales guy could not be bothered once he had my money. I wanted the pool buried 2 feet in the ground so they hooked me up with a guy who works "with" them and told me it would cost $2500. I called the guy repeatedly until he finally put me on the schedule 2 months after I paid for the pool. After the pool was set up in the ground he wanted to be paid cash so we had to go to the bank on a Saturday to get him money because he would not accept a check or a card. The leak detection service also found that my pool leaks from the light and the return because the guy who was paid in cash did not install them correctly. I would first of all recommend the Allen store because they are more helpful and second find your own installer to set your pool up and get a warranty on the work. Crown pools does not service the above ground pools that they sell !!!When I contacted them for help with the leaks they referred me to a company in Denton which is very expensive. I love my pool but there is NO customer service from this store after the sale! None !!! read more

I bought a pool 2 months ago and was well aware there was a 2 MONTH wait on the install. The ONLY reason I went forward with my $6200 purchase of the pool was that Wesley Boyer, the general manager, found a liner in stock that I liked. So I bought it! Fast forward to less than 24 hours to install almost 2 months later! Crown Pools of Dallas has "no phone reception" and I get an email from Wesley that they have installed my liner that I PAID FOR, into someone else's backyard!!! The liner that convinced me to move forward with my purchase! Long story short, I told him I would move forward with the ugly alternative liner and install if they discounted it. He would not do it. So, they gave someone else my liner I paid for but would not make it right. This is a very short version of all that took place. If you REALLY, want their pool and equipment, don't trust them to hold it while waiting for your install . 1) The installer will never initiate your install. You will have to text and call multiple times to get any type response. He might even ask you to go get 2.5 yards of mason sand that he is supposed to get to level your pool, like they did me! 2) They will put YOUR pool and liner in someone else's backyard and you will not get an apology or or any kind of accommodation! read more
