Being in the internet marketing business I am very cautious about posting a bad review as I know the implications. So I actually never do. However I do this to prevent other mechanical watch owners from having to deal with this. I have no doubt that this company can replace a battery and maybe even replace a quarts movement but it looks like, that's it. While the owner was very confident of being able to completely overhaul my Rolex for $500 dollar in 4 weeks not only he did not do any service to the watch and twice delayed the pick up lying to me he need more time where in fact he had not even started. After 7 weeks i ask for the watch back and he had not done anything. I had sold the watch Now and a reputable business man and watch dealer I trust told me that the watch was very dirty inside completely tried out and the rotor did not move correctly. These things happen for a watch at this age when you leave the movement unclosed. Very unprofessional. The watch run perfectly when I brought it to him but it was time for a maintenance. Also, when asking the owner to polish and brush the watch to his original state, he ask me which parts to brush and which parts to polish. Makes me think when he had the last time a original Rolex in its Hands. Again, I wish the owner all the best and he is a nice guy, but keep doing your battery changes or whatever. Leave servicing mechanical luxury watches to the people knowing what they are doing. I learned my lesson. read more

This small shop can get quite busy but it's worth the 20 minute wait. The owner is always courteous and will tell you if the watch is eroding inside. I've only gone here to replace watch battery. I saved my receipt for a $10.00 battery and when the watch stopped working after 11 months I called to ask how long the battery should last. The owner said he guaranteed his batteries for 1 year, so with receipt in hand I returned to get a free replacement battery. Who does that these days!?! read more

Wasn't aware of this place on Pensacola even though I drive down this street often. Maybe it's because it's hard to see the store sign when I'm driving down passing traffic lights and pedestrian crosswalks, my eyes are always on the road. But when I yelped to find a good watch repair shop, it was actually easy to find. Small parking spaces, small store, the repairman was friendly and efficient. Took 20 minutes for battery replacements. He ensured me that all my watches were water resistant after he replaced all the batteries. $40 for THREE watches (Nixon, Armani exchange, G Shock). Not bad, very reasonable. And I tested to see if they were water resistant, which they were. Though I should've asked how long do the batteries last, but I will know in the future lol. The owner does excellent work replacing batteries and especially adjusting watch bands to fit your wrist. I purchased a beautiful 10-year old Rolex submariner in perfect condition, with certificate papers and it had been thoroughly cleaned and refurbished. However, the stainless steel and gold band was too large for my wrist, and he adjusted the links to fit my wrist perfectly. I just bought a cheap stainless steel band for my Apple Watch, and plan to take it to him for adjustment (hopefully the band won't break; but you get what you pay for when you buy from Amazon). read more

I went in for a battery and o-ring replacement on a Seiko and he did it for $15 plus tax. The really good touch was that after I got home I noticed that he had set the day, date, and time. This is the average of a 1-star and a 4-star review. Rewind two years, when I visited this nice old man to repair a Citizen solar that had died after years of use. He gave me the helpful advice that based on how much I paid for it, it wouldn't be worth it to repair (the watch was about $100, and the replacement capacitor would have been $75). I was thankful for the insight, and didn't waste any money on the watch. A number of weeks ago, I turned in an Armani watch because the winding mechanism had locked, and the watch no longer ran. He told me in two weeks, he'd have it up and running. I gave him three weeks, because he said it would be challenging for him. When I came back to pick it up, he couldn't remember which watch I was talking about, and when he found it, asked for another two weeks. Things happen, people forget things, it's all forgiven. So two weeks later, I visited again. He asked for two more weeks. Sadly, I had to take the watch back because I can't bring myself to believe he'll actually have it ready, or if I'll keep on visiting every other week for rest of the year. I'm going to have to agree here that this business is not what it seems. I brought 6 watches in to get batteries changed and some adjustments on a couple of them. Long story short, watches got batteries finally replaced after 2 weeks (had to come in twice to "remind" him) one of them got "broken" during the process (a Casio G Shock....yeah you heard me....) another got the hour hand "stuck" ( a Citizen Blue Angles.....yeah you heard me there too.......) and a Seiko Chrono "seconds" hand is still out of alignment. I started this process about a month ago.....dude still hasn't called me back on my 2 watches that are still there......guess I have to go "remind" him again. Weak..... read more

I totally agree with the original reviewer. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the shop is a tiny hole in the wall. Doesn't bother me in the least but some people might not like it. What matters is the service and quality of work. I can say that I've never had to go back cuz of shoddy work and his prices are reasonable. Also, he can usually work on your watch while you wait. Another plus: they've got limited free parking. Brought 3 20+ year old Rolex watches that had never been serviced. One had gotten water inside the case and rusted. I was going to throw it away. Ben rebuilt it from scratch and it is now appraised at over $7,000. The other two were in bad shape also and they now look like new. Mr Ho is an amazing technician. He is deeply knowledgeable and experienced in the fine mechanics and workings of watches. I'm from Honolulu but live out of state and do not have easy access to competent, much less expert, watch repair. The last two times getting my Seiko watch fixed at home were fails. Fortunately I have had to travel to Hawaii each of the past three years and have gotten my timepiece serviced each time by Mr Ho. He seems to have an abundant supply of the right parts at hand and it's never taken more than a day or two. I highly recommend him. Nice guy, but after getting my battery changed for $15 it died the first day at the beach. Fogged up and progressively got worse until it died. Took it back and he charged me another $15 to get it fixed and pressured tested. Do it right the first time and go somewhere else! The owner was very quick. My watch finally died after 3 years and couldn't get myself to buy another as I am attached to my watch. After a month of not having my wrist friend, I finally made time to get the battery changed. I arrived and he had 6 customers waiting. Why go anywhere else. The proprietor is smart, honest, funny and engaging, but most of all a true professional. We brought in two watches for battery changes and within minutes he had correctly diagnosed the problems. One battery was too small. Even though it fit the watch batter compartment its lack of depth kept it from making good contact. He put in the proper battery and it has worked perfectly since. The second watch had service done by the manufacturer and he replaced the battery and corrected an oversight by the makers during it service. $10 is a median price for a battery replacement as some places charge more and some less. After three tries at local watch counters (Long; Macys, and Walmart), the Walmart clerk suggested I try Crown Time House. None of the first three places could remove the back of a not very expensive Brooks Brothers watch. I found the owner and his assistant (possibly his son), extremely helpful. The battery was changed in a few minutes on the spot, and when I asked about the back, they said it was one of the simpler ones to open. It was also the least costly price I've ever paid for having a watch repair shop install a battery for me ---- $10. Great service, great price, very friendly people.
