My Heirloom Black Forest Hermle Mantle Clock. Lionelle did CPR and brought her back to life!!

Lionelle is an excellent Clock Meister ... perfect work on my 40-year-old Heirloom Hermle Mantle Clock. Shop is easy to find and parking is great. He will take great care of your babies (clocks, watches).

A not-so-waterproof anymore G-Shock Mudmaster. DO NOT TRUST YOUR TIMEPIECES WITH THIS SHOP.

DO NOT BRING YOUR WATCH TO THIS GUY Needed a new battery for my G-Shock Mudmaster GGB100 and figured I'd bring my other G-Shocks in too (another Mudmaster GG1000 & two others). It took him THREE DAYS to figure out how to put the two Mudmasters back together. Even then, the straps on one wouldn't sit correctly. Here I am, 2 months later, with water in my watch because he apparently didn't seal it correctly. I didn't write this review when I should have as to give him a chance to prove me wrong. $80 for 6 batteries & at least one dead watch. BUYER BEWARE. THERE ARE BETTER, MORE COMPETENT OPTIONS OUT THERE.

My pops told me that the watches I had bought for him had died, and that he needed some new fresh batteries for his watches, but didn't know where to go to get the watch batteries replaced. Originally, my plans were to take my dad's watches to Duncan Jewelry, because I had experienced pretty good service, & reasonable prices for the battery replacement, but unfortunately when I got to Duncan Jewelry, they were closed due to their special operating hours during the Covid-19 pandemic. Not wanting to wait until Duncan Jewelry open, as I headed back to the parking lot, I told the parking lot attendant that I was gonna go somewhere else to do some shopping and maybe swing back later to Duncan Jewelry when they open. Luckily for me that friendly parking lot attendant gave me a friendly tip about another watch repair shop called - "Crown Time House" as it was not too far away from Duncan Jewelry. Crown Time House is located on Pensacola Street, just across the street from Kaiser Hospital............or if you're looking for another landmark, just up the street (going Mauka) from the Vacuum Cleaner Store on South King Street & Pensacola. As I walked into the store, I could see that this place not only did watch & clock repairs, but they also sold various clocks & watches. After the elderly gentleman finished helping a customer over the phone, he came over to greet me. I told the gentleman that I needed to have some batteries replaced on two watches. The gentleman said "no problem", and told me that it would be $12.00 bucks each (per watch) for the battery replacement. In my mind I was planning on leaving the watches, then come back a few days later to pick up the watches when they were done with the battery replacement (this is what happened to me when I used Duncan Jewelry). To my surprise, the elderly gentleman just went to his work bench with the two watches I had brought down, took apart the watches and replaced both batteries within 5 minutes or so! AMAZING!!! Paid my $24.00 plus tax, and was out the door in no time at all! NOTE: CASH IS KING!!! If you come here to get any work done, this business only takes cash or checks. NO CREDIT CARDS Accepted.

Cash or check only...credit card not accepted.

I never heard of this place but an owner of another place I usually take my watch/clock for service couldn't help me and referred me here. When I arrived, there were already 2 people in his store so I waited outside close to 10 minutes. I was glad when the owner was done with the first person because it was so hot outside at noon. When he helped the person in front of me to fix their watch band, he started working on it. It took him about 40 minutes...I'm guessing he didn't think it was going to take him that long to fix. I was getting kind of antsy because my husband was waiting in the car. I could hear the lady that was in back of me who was waiting in the hot sun cussing and swearing through the glass door...guess I would be upset too if I was outside. After he was done collecting the money, they started talking for another 5 minutes. He could see that there were people waiting but I don't think he knew how many...there were 4 people in back of me AND one left. It was now my turn. I wanted him to fix my Seiko wall clock...the time works but the chime and pendulum didn't. After waiting almost an hour to be waited on, I found out that he can't fix my wall clock because Seiko doesn't sell parts for it. He was really nice and took the time to explain. He doesn't rush you out to help the next person and tries to accommodate your needs. Even though it took so long for me to be served, I realized he was giving each customer fantastic personal service! Hmmm...maybe it would be a good idea if he took the items and have people pick it up later so it doesn't inconvenience the other customers that also wants his service. When I was done, I heard the person that was in back of me telling the owner she was picking up. Yikes! The reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because waiting over an hour is a little too much to ask anyone.

Ask the Community - Crown Time House

Will you do house calls to repair larger clocks, and if so, how much $?

Sorry - I don’t make house calls. You can have your clock picked up and delivered to the workshop for service. Currently our wait list is booked through January. If you like I can add you to the list.

Do they repair clocks? Or only watches?

We service and restore both clocks and watches from most manufacturers

Big mistake. This Ben Bridge Jeweler (now at space #2226) is apparently a Tudor AD, so there should be no problem with them changing or adjusting OEM straps/bracelets. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was told that the watchmaker in the back was having difficulty removing the OEM strap, and for me to please wait. Huh? Another 10-20 minutes go by, and I notice several other reps being called to the back to assist. The rep assisting me looked nervous, but was repeatedly apologetic in having me wait for so long. This couldn't be standard practice for a reputable jeweler, let alone a Tudor AD. In total, I waited for about 45 minutes for them to change the bracelet and finally return my watch. I had a bad feeling, so I checked the back of the watch to see if there was any damage. Lo and behold - they scratched the crap out of my 3 day old Tudor. To their credit, Gail (Assistant Store Manager) offered to polish the watch and remove the scratch marks but I declined before they could ruin the watch any further. When I asked whether the watchmaker taped up the lugs to prevent scratching/damage while working on my watch (which should be standard practice when changing bracelets), the rep helping me said she didn't know. In any case, the damage was done and this doesn't fix the fundamental problem that the watchmaker/rep did not treat my 3 day old Tudor with care... even when they knew that I am a returning Ben Bridge customer (they checked and verified my purchase at Kalakaua). Please don't make the same mistake I did. If you value your Tudor (or any watch for that matter), take it elsewhere that handles your watch with care. Next time, I'll be bringing my Tudor to the Tudor Boutique on Kalakaua. AVOID BEN BRIDGE IN ALA MOANA.

They're like glorious wrist necklaces for your arms that just happen to tell time. For Christmas this year, my mom gave me a sweet-looking Croton watch with diamonds. Yes, diamonds. It's glorious and sparkles like in the sun like Edward Cullen. But since Christmas, it's remained in its box because I've been too lazy to get it sized. My sister (Kris O.) also got a watch from Mom. She had it sized at Sears for $12 AND she had to wait about 45 minutes to get it done. When she told me I literally shrieked, "TWELVE DOLLARS!? for a little 'ole watch adjustment?" Talk about insane in the membrane! Ughhh. No, thank you. Do you know how many doughnuts I could buy for that price? A. LOT. So in the box my watch remained. Over the last few months, I stared and stared (and then stared some more) at my watch longing to wear it. And yesterday, I finally got off my badunkadunk and took my watch to get sized. I was on a mission. My nakey wrist was ready. And I was ready. I was downtown that day and thought I'd see if a jewelry store in Chinatown might help me with my watch. And the first store I spied with my Asian eye was 'Chong's Jewelry.' I took it as a sign. Well it literally was a sign (hanging above the storefront). But it was a figurative sign as well. You see my bff-in-law's name is Dr. Chong and he's the best physical therapist I know. So I took it as a sign that Chong's Jewelry would help me "doctor" my watch and "make it better" fit my wrist too. Ha, my metaphor's blow your mind, don't they? Yes, I'm impressed with myself too. So I went in the store to ask how much it would cost for them to adjust my watch. Their answer $6 AND it only took 5 minutes! #WINNING. My wrist is now that much sexier and my doughnut fund is $6 dollar richer!! Hip-hip-hooray for Chong's Jewelry!!! P.S. (You're welcome)
