There is a showroom with exhibition only time pieces, a bar, waiting area and VIP room. Customer service in general is professional and friendly. Those who are new to the brand may view the process and customer service experience offensive or unappealing so do some research prior to visiting a store. For those who know the brand and truly want to own a Rolex know that the days of walking in to buy one on the same day is long gone. To get what you want will take patience and time. Don't get me wrong, on rare situations, someone can walk in and walk out with a brand new time piece during the same visit. If that's what you're looking for then Rolex may not be the brand for you. Usually true luxury brands require some wait time. Premium brands, not true luxury brands, are accessible to all which might be better suited for those individuals. If you really want a Rolex and can be patient then ask to work with Tinna. She will do her best to get you a time piece from your wish list. Most of you reading this are familiar with the process... waiting, waiting, waiting...then finally that call. Most people have a very good experience at this location. I now know why. Tatsuya (aka Tat) was the gentleman that assisted me when I first came into the store. I made a reservation online from rolex.com. He was very professional and non judgemental. This is Hawaii after all, so I came in with slippers (flip/flops), sweat shorts and a plain white V neck. As many of you know, there were multiple questions asked to ensure you're not just flipping the watch for some profit. Yes he eventually asked my profession. I made him aware of my interest. He made me aware of the slim chance of getting the watch. Typical wait time is at least 1 yr but usually 2-3 yrs or even longer. Well 3 or so months later, I get a call. Set up an appointment, brought wifey to get her blessing, then pulled the trigger. The whole process was impressive. Tat was very responsive and communicated very timely. The store have this "secret" doors where they show you the watch. It's a nice private, elegant setting. They served me a non alcoholic beverage, we sat down, conversate for a few, then I made the purchase. I am now a proud owner of the Rolex Submariner 126610LV (bka "Starbucks")! Consider it my early Xmas, bday, and anniversary present ;) Likely not my last Rolex. This was the 2nd Rolex boutique I visited during my stay in Honolulu earlier this year. This location is in the hustling and bustling Ala Moana shopping center. After taking longer than it should have, I finally found their storefront. After I was warmly greeted, I was passed off to Hiroko, who politely smiled at me and asked what I was looking for. We sat down, discussed some different configurations. Next, came the most refreshing honesty I have have ever experienced at a high end goods boutique. She kindly looked at me and said I have a 5% chance of obtaining the watch I was looking for before I left to return home in 4 days. This transparency was utterly refreshing to hear and we both smiled and laughed. In the future, I will be sure to call ahead(before my trip into Honolulu) to give myself a greater than 5% chance at my next watch. read more

In Japan, not only can't you buy a Rolex at the store, but it seems that there is still a situation where you can't even make a reservation. One day, shortly after the end of 2024, my son made a rare request. "There is a Rolex that I really want, but I can't buy it even if I wait for two years. If it's possible to buy it in Hawaii, I want you to buy it." I'm planning to return to Japan in February, so I went to the Rolex Ala Moana shop to make his wish come true. I do there were entrance restrictions here too, and after waiting outside for a while, I was finally able to enter the store. I was guided to a separate seat and asked various questions by a female salesperson. "What about work? At own home? Rent? What is your husband's job? How many years have you lived in Hawaii?" I feel like I was asked other questions, but I was a little confused by the sudden interview. When I asked why, it seems that it is because bad people who resell Rolex watches and make a lot of money are rampant. I was appalled that there were people who always tried to make dirty money on such a dark site. I believe that a new and pure Rolex looks good on my son's wrist. I want everyone to avoid buying it on the site just because it's a little cheap or easy way to get. In the end, it seems that you will lose or regret it except for buying a genuine product at a regular store. I came in to get my submariner serviced and was also interested in another model. On arrival, I was introduced to Tinna. She evaluated the watch and processed it for servicing. I explained the Rolex that I was interested in. I left the boutique anticipating a lengthy period before the watch would surface. In a short time after, Tinna sent notification that the watch had come available. I came back and was again greeted by Tinna. Absolutely the most ridiculous experience today. A completely disinterested Japanese man who seemed literally put out to show me a GMT Master. Mind you I'm wearing a near new Sub date which he finally noticed after I put it on the tray to try on the GMT. I know you "don't have" watches in stock for us visitors but at least pretend. I've heard how bad it can be and this "showroom" is the definition of the Rolex / Customer disconnect. We had a drastically different experience at Cartier, Omega and Breitling who were more than gracious to show us watches. I don't usually post reviews, but my experience here definitely deserves one. Extremely disappointing customer service! I walked into the store with my son, and one of the sales associates (I think his name was Frank or Fred?) made us feel completely unwelcome. The store was nearly empty--just my son and I, along with one other customer casually having espresso with their SA. You'd expect the sales associates to offer some assistance or at least engage, but that was not the case. Not once did my associate try to start a conversation or make us feel comfortable. I was looking at some Datejust models and asked if there were any others on display. Instead of offering help, he just pointed to a wall and told me to look over there. As I walked over, he followed me silently and stood off to the side, watching without saying a word. That was the breaking point, and I decided to leave. As I walked out, I promised myself I'd never return. It was, without a doubt, the worst shopping experience I've ever had. My 14-year-old son even mentioned to my wife how uncomfortable the whole experience felt. Rolex, you need to do better, especially when it comes to your staff at this location. read more
