After walking around Nantucket for the day, we were in the mood for light drinking some oysters. We came here for a glass of wine and really enjoyed the outdoor seating. They had a couple of different options as far as oysters go and they all were really good. If you were looking for ambience and good service, this is a great place.

Nothing more than a glorified tourist trap at this point. Decent oyster selection and of course a great view, but these are sullied by the rude hostesses, disengaged waitstaff, obscenely loud music during daylight (this isn't Mykonos get a grip), and watered down drinks. Don't waste your time here, plenty of better dining experiences even just a stone's throw away.

Amazing! Rough start Memorial Monday as 7 hour delay caused us to miss lunch reservation. Front desk accommodated us for dinner with window seat. Focaccia &whipped ricotta, raw clams, lobster bake & stacked potatoes, CRUcumber cocktail. Our server was awesome & I forgot his name! Excellent service & food. Perfect mix of attention without being pushy. Beautiful room and view for our 1st night.

Amazing raw bar - loved the oysters and the raw clams (I much preferred the littleneck over the cherry but both were great). We also got lobster Cobb salads which were pretty average and a side of fries with Calabrian chili which were pretty good. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but we opted for outdoor, which was much calmer and quieter (the inside was pretty rowdy). Walked in as a party of 2 for lunch on a summer Thursday around 12:15pm without a reservation but were seated right away (there was plenty of outdoor seating available - less so for indoors). The Aperol spritz wasn't bad but not my favorite. Overall, not bad!

This was my favorite restaurant in all of New England. Great service at the bar. The bartender easily modified drinks to my liking. Cru is located right on the water with amazing views. The menu has a wide variety of options. I went with the crudo of the day. Salmon topped with caviar. 10/10. Drinks are amazing. I got the melon cocktail with mezcal.

    And I'd do it againnnnnb.

And I'd do it again plus the crucumber martini x2. Clam chowder is the best my partner has ever had - not pictured

My sister and I took a sister trip to Nantucket, we did a lot of research before hand on places to eat and we couldn't get into CRU. We were walking around that day and said let's stop by right when they open and see how long the wait is...we both wanted to eat here because we heard great things about the lobster roll! We check in and only had to wait 15 minutes to get seated right by all the boats and water! We had such a great lunch with beautiful views! Their lobster roll we would put in our Top 3 favorite while visiting the East Coast. It was also my first time to try an oyster and WOW! I can't stop eating them now. We can't wait to go back!

CRU. I what more can one say? Truly the best seafood in Town, and perhaps the best raw bar on the island. Always a welcoming friend, at the end harbor-end of Straight Wharf if you take the Hyline boat. We were on Island the 22nd of November, and the outdoors furniture was stored inside CRU; we felt sad. Then we were on Island the weekend after Stroll, and saw that there were plywood boards on the windows for winter; I wept. Always a sad scene. Just like the lack of boats, yachts or activity in the Basin. Again, the best raw bar in the island. Best service. Best prices. Fresh, big, and a wide selection of oysters, clams, cherry stones, and shrimp. A wonderful lobster salad appetizer that is to die for! Even better lobster roll. Ice cold draft Cisco too! During the season, they add in the tip for you - so be aware. No negatives whatsoever ever.

this was a pretty delightful meal. I tried 3 items. The house brioche & two pasta dishes: lobster cannelloni which was very unique. It's not often where you have a pasta like that and the moist taste of the poached lobster along with the sauce and baby turnips were the perfect touch & then the crab tagliatelle - this dish was super light & The crab tagliatelle+ lemon mixture was perfect. Both these pasta dishes were filling and didn't feel heavy. Highly rec all 3 items. The service started off well but nearing the end our server didn't come by to drop the check for a long while, we also asked two other servers in the mean time. Ambiance is right by the water which was super special. The food itself was fantastic - only received 4 because of the service! But wouldn't hold me back to come again.

If ever there was a tourist trap on Nantucket, this would be it. The food is just okay but certainly not worth the price. However, this is all over Instagram as THE place to eat on the island. However, aesthetics don't overrule taste. It's a pleasant location with a great view, but there's definitely better places to eat.

Wow!!! This was one of the best meals we had on the island and the lobster roll (specifically the warm one) was hands down the best lobster roll I had there!! The seafood is fresh and everything is cooked to perfection. The views are gorgeous even though we were inside. Clam chowder was very tasty and so were the fried Ipswich clams. Some key standout dishes were the duck fat potatoes, each layer was so crispy yet soft. Makes a perfect bite. The grilled teardrop cabbage was amazing and it had a hint of chili oil which gives it such a great kick!! But yea the warm lobster roll was probably a highlight for me and the fries were some of the best I've had too. The grand cru plateau was super fresh! Overall wonderful service, beautiful ambiance and incredible food!

Cru was our most memorable dinner on our honeymoon on Nantucket. We had the FLUKE GRENOBLOISE (blood orange, capers, brown butter + croutons) and GRAND BANKS HALIBUT (safron shellfish broth, mussels, rouille, leeks + peas). The cocktail was the CRUCOMBER (Bison Grass Vodka, lemon, cucumber + toasted sesame) which was delicious and refreshing. We were seated outside in a quiet area on the dock. The service was incredible! Our fish was so fresh. I recommend ordering any seafood here. Make sure you get a reservation!!

Excellent raw bar with good view, but VERY expensive. We had the premier tower which was good.

Hideous menu for dinner.... Small and over priced for what you're getting even for Nantucket.

Are they open 7 days a week in season?

Probably open 6 days. Not sure about everyday. A hot spot indeed. Easier to get seated as a walk-in after 9p.

They do have a couple of tables outside, but it was kind of a cool and windy day and not enjoyable to be sitting out. Darn shame. Seafood was alive in tanks. Everything was very fresh. Prices very reasonable. Too bad they do not have a real eating area, not a restaurant, but a place where you can sit, use utensils, and enjoy.

Sayle's is my new seafood obsession. Mostly because I love having an easy access to a fish…read moresandwich. There's a place to park, I can walk in, order a fried fish sandwich, look at some lobsters in a tank for ten minutes (the best part) and be out the door with a hot n ready fried fish sandwich in my hands. On my last visit, the woman at the counter was so happy. I was already happy because I was getting a fried fish sandwich. And then I was feeding off of her energy, and I was just having such a great moment in Sayle's Seafood! Now, I could sit in and eat here and bask in their fishy glory since there are tables, but I have yet to do so. I also love the view of the harbor from the front porch and that it's tucked down that little street and the vibe is so island that it contributes to the over-romanticism of Nantucket that happens in my mind but that's okay. The fish sandwich was really good. The time before that, I ordered the clam strips side, which was a lot smaller than I believed it was going to be. They were small individual pieces and fried well-done, while I do prefer a softer crunch. Next time, I will order the clam strip platter which comes with accoutrements. I also had their clam chowder, which I also thought was pretty good. I will be back for more seafood, and I hope that it is soon!
