This review is for their takeaway side. Based on what I saw, I really want to check out the restaurant next summer!! I got their smoked scallops and they were the BEST EVER! First of all, I don't often see smoked scallops in the Bay Area, and when I've had Not exaggerating when I say these were amazing and couldn't be much better. Perfectly smoked with just a hint of smokiness (not overpowering at all). Also tasted super fresh!!! (Too Their selection of raw seafood all looked really good. There's also a small area where you can purchase some cute items, including olive oils, books, baseball caps, etc. Workers were helpful, even though they were pretty packed.

Clockwise from the top - salmon, tuna special, and steak. All the accompaniments were fresh and delicious

straight wharf bar grill is my favorite dining spot on Nantucket. Come for apps and dessert or dinner and dessert and its near impossible that you'll leave disappointed. Note the common theme...the desserts are spectacular; the 2024 strawberry shortcake posset is (still) one of the most memorable things I ate last year. It is essential that you head over early, they open at 5:30, because once the seats fill up you're going to be waiting a long time. Additionally, if you sit on the patio the people watching is 10/10 thanks to the Gazebo and folks coming and going to the ferry.

We heard a lot of hype about this place. They don't take reservations and there is a line down the street. We showed up when they opened and was seated quickly. The service is attentive and the food comes timely. The swordfish was cooked beautifully. We did feel in need more seasoning but the charred grill flavor is pronounced. The whipped feta was delicious the pillow bread and ztar spices were foward and matched the salty, creamy dip. The bluefish was good. I thought it could use more smoke and salt because the parmesan crackers overpowered it. Just eat it with the table bread which is nice and fluffy.

Candlelight dinner so it's pretty dark. Beautiful restaurant, food and service were good. Not our favorite menu but worth the experience.

We had a reservation for 8:30, but were not seated until closer to 9:10, which was a little disappointing. Thankfully, the service and food made up for the wait. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. The food was amazing, and my entire family has been talking about how great it was since we left! While it was a little loud, it was still beautiful and intimate. They were able to accommodate some of our picky eaters with ease. We will definitely be back!

Lobster roll with onion rings and rosé

Day trip from Provincetown, MA -- jumped the Hy-Line ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket and steps off the boat stumbled into this GEM. Bounty of seafood and fresh fish and sandwiches--- we had the lobster roll and fried fish sandwich. With onion rings and fries -- light, crisp -- fresh -- complements with the Peyrassol rosé. Staff and service were friendly and wonderful! Will be back and highly recommend!

We had a beautiful meal here. Presentation, flavor, service and ambiance were all excellent, and we appreciated the flexibility of their fixe prix menu where you could choose appetizer or meal portions for both starters and entrees (sometimes with supplemental pricing). We were also pleased with the gorgeous view from the back patio. We hadn't even requested outdoor seating and were delighted to see a rainbow appear during dessert. Although I have no negative comments at all, this is a case of expectation vs. reality. I expected to be over-the-moon with this special dinner, but will reluctantly admit that nothing especially stood out as very memorable. We enjoyed the food very much while we were there, but it just didn't make the lasting impression I need for 5 stars.

Service was good. The chowder and food overall was below average for cape cod and very pricey.

If you are visiting the island they have a shuttle which will pick you up from in town, it runs in a continuous loop about every 20 min. They have a wine station, full liquor bar, and the beer station so you can try all of the things they make. They were doing a signature cocktail with fresh cucumber which was delicious and refreshing! They also distill their own spirits and single malt whiskey. They had one of the best wine Frosè I have ever had, called the Nantucket Frosè. It has FRESH fruit and berries, SO good!

On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times.

We started with the lobster and caviar Hawaiian roll, which was flavorful and delicious. The grilled octopus served over pork and white beans was another standout--the flavor profile here was top tier. Honestly, the appetizers had me expecting the rest of the meal to be on the same level. Unfortunately, the entrées were a different story. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, but the lack of seasoning was unbelievable. The execution was there, but it desperately needed flavor. We also ordered the halibut, which was extremely dry--to the point that I couldn't finish it. The sides brought things back around. The jalapeño corn and Brussels sprouts were both and packed with flavor. And then there was the Filthy Dirty Rich Martini with caviar-stuffed olives --AMAZING. Easily one of the highlights of the night and something I would absolutely order again. Overall, 19 Raw nails the ambiance, cocktails, appetizers, and service. The appetizers in particular showed just how good the kitchen can be, which made the disappointing entrées even more surprising. I'd come back, but next time I might stick to cocktails, appetizers, and small plates.

It was some kind of steak with a special preparation. I've looked at the restaurant menu but do not see it listed. It was a special for that evening. The restaurant had a nice Cape Cod feel to it, and it was crowded. There was a large party sitting near by and the acoustics being what they are, it was a little noisy but they left after a bit. The lighting was dim, but it was a pleasant evening and the service was great. They had a nice selection of wines. My friend had the Eggplant Vindaloo, which I had considered ordering and it was a huge serving. She took it back and ate it for several days. Another friend ordered and ate appetizers and loved the Maine Mussels Dijonnaise. I guess it was just my luck of the draw. I should have gone with my first idea and ordered the Eggplant. Or the Mussels. Despite being disappointed with my entree, it was a wonderful place to enjoy an evening with friends.
