I kind have been telling everyone about Straight Wharf Fish. A new player on the block/wharf - it's casual, but still upscale, with a covered dining area on the water and a modern, cozy inside. No reservations and early season, we had no problem snagging a table for 2. However, a friend recently shared they were told a 45 minute wait the other day. Prices and portions are reasonable to that of the Brotherhood and the Trap, and well executed. The fish tacos were delicious and my son's burger was basic but delicious. Heads up, while no kids menu, they did say they had a secret one - I'm imagining coming from so many families popping in. The burger as was $18 and a double patty with no toppings and homemade chips. The chowder was also really good with I believe some pork in there. It's been a minute, so I'm a little rusty. Service was great and kind. I didn't order any cocktails, but they did look small for the price - they may be bottled? I could be lying there. I saw a many a fried seafood and fries platter go by and they looked so good and fresh and crispy, in the best way possible. Overall, five star addition! I'm sure the lines have begun, but it's worthy of a wait, especially over at the Gazebo, so perfectly convenient. Ps: they also have a retail portion but I did not pay much attention to that side.

This is the original Yankee Pier. If you ever visited that restaurant in Larkspur, CA, this must have been the inspiration. Simple and delicious food. Casual, not fancy and great for kids. Tables tight on the water. Gluten free friendly, if that is of interest to you. stuck to the seafood. Lobster roll, fried clams and fish tacos. Btw, the fried clams are FULL BELLY, the entire clam, not just the muscle "clam strips" you used to find at places like Howard Johnson's. Everything fresh and literally right out of the water.

The lobster rolls were amazing! Our waiter (idk his name, super tall brunette guy) was super accommodating and removed got the kitchen to remove the bacon out of the clam chowder for us! Super cute place with a view of the water. You can sit down to eat or take it to go! Would totally come back. Super convenient because its right off the ferry.

Excellent tasting food, service & atmosphere on the island using a hy-line ferry from c cod. We had a clam chowder prob the most loaded with clams & other seafood in a long time. Then we had the swordfish griddled with fries & cole slaw & tartar sauce delicious w other generous portion, also an halibut tacos all in all I rate 4.5 stars

We just stopped by for some oysters and raw clams to hold us over for dinner but they were amazing!! We came as a party of two on a summer Friday afternoon around 3:30pm and the wait was about 5 minutes. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and are connected to a little market/store. Would love to return and try some other items!

The scallop roll and clams were phenominal!!! Our server, Julie, turned things around for us after we were treated unfairly. The manager, Colin's treatment was unacceptable. When my friend ordered a limoncello spritz, he brought a margarita instead. When she corrected him, he rudely said, "No you didn't," and walked away. She was also the only Black woman in the restaurant, and the only one treated this way. As locals in the industry, we were really disappointed by the manager's dismissive and disrespectful behavior. I recommend this place because the food is fabulous and every other time the service has been great! Just be careful with Colin.

Stumbled upon SWF towards the end of their very first week, when they weren't even officially doing takeout just yet. We were just walking by looking for a lobster roll and walked in to see a fish market! The lovely staff made an exception for us and we were so grateful. Not a seafood item but wow those onion rings were out of this world!! We got them with the lobster roll and wish we got the full side (for a bigger portion) instead. Totally recommend. Lobster roll was great as well especially at its decent price of $35. Loved that it came with a side of slaw as well. Would have loved to dine in if we had the time.

Excellent fried clams ! I've been all over New England and these were delicious!!! I don't understand the reviews. This place is great! My only downside is $40 for these clams is a bit overpriced. But you're on Nantucket. What do you expect

10/10. Gabriel and his team hit it out of the park with this restaurant! First, the food: the caviar onion rings, clam chowder, fried clams, blue fish patê and smash burger were tremendous. Truly the best burger on island. Mouth watering. The fried clams were perfect, crispy and juicy! Clam chowder was delicious and caviar on onion rings? Need I say more? The staff was wonderful and kind, and the vibe is even better! The decor was beautiful. We had dinner on the deck which was a delight the chairs were comfortable and the view can't be beat. We could not have had a better experience, and will be adding this to our regularly weekly rotation!

Excellent food and service. We had fried clam basket and warm butter lobster roll, and both were delicious.

Great views and even better lobster rolls. Tried both hot and cold and can't go wrong with either.

A few years ago, someone offered to buy my parking space for $500. (I declined.) There's often live music. (Check local publications or their website for up-to-date schedules.) There are often a number of food trucks present. On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times.

We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. We got some drinks, checked out the space and eventually we were able to snag some chairs under the tent. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. There was a dance area in front of the stage and people definitely used it - so there was great people watching in a super fun setting!

Service was very attentive and informative, and food recommendations were spot on. The special salad of spinach, goat cheese, strawberries and tomatoes was divine - one of the best starter salads ever! Bone-in pork chop with asparagus and roasted potatoes was fantastic, as was the duck w risotto. Salmon was excellent. But the culinary "coup de grâce" was the sorbet!! Truly one of the best desserts ever!! Served with fresh berries and a large cookie. Overall, a great dining experience, albeit a bit on the expensive side. The bill, including tax/tip (and one cocktail ea.) was about $100 pp.

With each one they asked how the burger should be cooked. Two ordered them rare and medium rare. All 4 came out well done. They did take the two back and remade them. In addition, one ordered hers with a salad instead of fries. They did take it back without offering to just bring out an extra salad and leave what was there. Our server was good , but the kitchen did not pay attention to detail. Also, the buns are monstrous on the burgers, but they aren't practical and make them hard to eat. Tends to a lot of wasted bread. On the bright side, I had the tuna nicoise, and it was very good. I would definitely get it again. We were visiting local relatives. We hope to go back with them on a future visit but hope to have a better experience.
