Beet salad with goat cheese that they split for my wife and I

Congratulations on 35 years! We come to Nantucket every spring and this is a must on our list. When asking industry people ( bartenders, front desk, waitresses and waiters, etc) for their suggestions, the Sea Grille is always tops on their list. We sat at the bar tonight for a lighter dinner and the food and hospitality were perfect. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Was able to speak with Chef Tucker tonight as well who obviously runs a great kitchen. Highly recommended!

Popped in to satisfy my chowder craving along with a solid Caesar salad. The place was packed (which I was happy to see as I've been a guest there for decades) so I could only sit at the bar. The chowder lacked its usual seasoning and I didn't pick up any of the typical herb accent (rosemary or thyme). The Caesar was very nice and the croutons crunchy. The service by the bartender was efficient & all smiles. Visiting the Sea Grille over the past 30 years has always been a pleasure. I'll likely go back & have their lobster bisque with puff pastry next time. It's SO good! The grilled lobster & house made fettuccine is on the same list! If you choose to go in summer...best to make a reservation.

We wanted to come here for the smoked blue fish and it did not disappoint. It was indeed, smoky. It also didnt have a whole lot of filler like mayo so you can taste the fresh fish. We also really enjoyed the mussles. They are in a curry broth with fresh peas. It is a broth you want to eat with a spoon. So good.

Filet Au Poivre (not the best photo, and I wish I had taken a picture before I cut into it. The presentation was much nicer.)

An amazing find on this island! I believe it's a local favorite as well! The food was amazing! The ambience was nice and quiet enough that you could have a conversation with your guests. The service was great and timely. Can't wait to go back!

This restaurant has a special middle ground for families with young kids, where they totally know how to handle young kids but also make grown ups feel like they're going out somewhere more special than they usually can with the kiddos. At least, that's how we felt! Our waitress was really sweet, and she knew how to act quickly to get kids' orders in and extra bread on the table. (And another round of drinks!) Of course, the food is also incredibly good. I was actually stunned by how good and pretty my yellowish tuna looked. The spot feels upscale without being too stuffy - just the "right amount of stuffy" for Nantucket.

Wow. The food incredible, especially the halibut special they had going. The service was perfection. I'm not sure her name but she was attentive and great with recommendations. The place was clean and overall just a great experience especially with other things on the island closing for the season. Will definitely be back if I come back to Nantucket!

Food was 10/10. Service was 10/10. Everything we had was delicious. There's also a complimentary bread service that was delicious. The service we received was great. Definitely recommend

We called ahead and made a reservation. We were seated immediately. Service was kind and efficient. We started with the clam chowder (oops, think they call it quahog) and it was very good. Then we ordered the open form ravioli and stuffed lobster. Both were outstanding and we would get them again. The sauce with the ravioli was wonderful!!

    Caviar tots, crab cake, mussels

This was by far the best meal we had on Nantucket. Every dish was absolutely stellar, and we were shocked with the creativity of some of the dishes. Also, I would do unspeakable things for that butter cake. Jeez Louise that was insane. Cannot wait to go back!

While wondering around town, we went down a side road behind the Nantucket Lobster Trap and a wonderful aroma of curry reached us. The takeout window has a special menu off to the right side of Caribbean curries and other dishes. We came back that night and were rewarded with some of the best food we had on the island. The chicken was so tender it fill off the bone, sauces were rich and flavorful without being too spicy. We tried Festival, which is a bread that is a little sweet, and found it good for dipping in the sauces. Everything was excellent. Give it a try, it is like a hidden secret on Nantucket.

Open year round, limited hours and days off-season, including the Take Out Window. Damn good lobster. Steamers to die for. Coleslaw is nice and cold just like the Cisco draught beer. Prices are very fair and reasonable. Been there three times in '25, a great go-to when on ACK. Highest recommendation! 10DEC2025

And then I was feeding off of her energy, and I was just having such a great moment in Sayle's Seafood! Now, I could sit in and eat here and bask in their fishy glory since there are tables, but I have yet to do so. I also love the view of the harbor from the front porch and that it's tucked down that little street and the vibe is so island that it contributes to the over-romanticism of Nantucket that happens in my mind but that's okay. The fish sandwich was really good. The time before that, I ordered the clam strips side, which was a lot smaller than I believed it was going to be. They were small individual pieces and fried well-done, while I do prefer a softer crunch. Next time, I will order the clam strip platter which comes with accoutrements. I also had their clam chowder, which I also thought was pretty good. I will be back for more seafood, and I hope that it is soon!
