Had my own inspector come through. The gave us HOURS to pick through the unit with a fine-toothed comb; they never rushed us or hovered. Honestly, it was the integrity of the team that made the purchase a no-brainer Had to get some work done on it after purchase and worked with Mark and Mike. I don't have a single complaint. Mark treats me like an old friend every time he sees me; asks me about my kids, remembers their ages. Mike gave me a demonstration of the unit before I drove off in it. Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.

The Mercedes RV is absolutely beautiful, runs quietly, smooth on the road and gets pretty good fuel mileage. Our trip was 7 days so we got to stop in different towns along the way and take in some beautiful Tennessee scenery. We are a family of 4 which was a little tight when we stayed overnight in the Rv, but the rest of the nights we just stayed in hotels. Having room for the kids, able to feed everyone good food and staying overnight by the lakefront without a tent was amazing. If you want to take a family road trip in a comfortable RV, this is the way to go!

Ryan's response was that per section 9c of the rental contract, he does not have to guarantee anything other than the vehicle itself works. Reading other reviews it seems he doesn't even do this. I wish I would have read the other reviews before giving him any kind of business. All of the negative reviews are not a conspiracy- it's a pattern of horrible customer service and business management. Avoid so you can have a pleasant trip. Edit- we contacted Cruise America Corporate and they were helpful and apologetic after learning of our interaction with the owner of this location. We will not be giving THIS location any more business and warning others to stay clear.
