Probably the most overpriced burgers in Portland. I don't know who was in the kitchen, but blindfolded I could have assembled the burgers better. Just a gooey mess with none of the items on the bun. Just can't begin to tell everyone how bad these burgers were. The French fries were excellent. And two medium diet cokes. $32.75 seems like a great deal of money for two, way below average burgers, fry's and diet soda. We won't be going back, sad as this is a local franchise and I like to spend my money locally. Lots of help and the place is spotless. read more

I do like this local place, and I think their food quality is among the best in fast food. Service: hit or miss, I will say that, people are trying their best. I've had 5-stars and I've left feeling frustrated for a moment. I especially don't like (once) being pressured into a tip at the drive thru. I don't feel like traditional tipping works in fast food, as well, I don't have the food yet. I have no idea if the order is right or the food is good. I have no issue with tipping, and do press that button, it doesn't work like a sit down place. Food: Fantastic and I do think their fish and chips are totally over looked! Everything tastes like real food--shocking, I know. And the seasonal stuff never misses (asparagus, onion rings and maybe they always have them, but their sweet potato fries are wonderful). I usually get a regular hamburger and just add veggies, and most of the time, I haven't been charged. It's really great to have a local quick service place that you don't feel bad about eating at. I've known lots of people who have or who's kids started or stayed at Burgerville, so I hope that's a great sign that they treat folks well. read more

Every time I go back to Oregon I try to make it to a Burgerville. This is one of my favorite burger places. The burgers have such flavor and their menu has a variety to select from. I LOVE when it's Walla Walla onion ring season! And you can't go wrong with a milkshake from Burgerville (and I've never had them tell me that the machine is broken). I highly recommend trying when you are in the Portland area. read more

I came here on a weekday night with some friends because we were hungry, and my sister needed to redeem her birthday gift. On the way there I was craving herb garlic fries with Parmesan and I had no idea that they would be here, but Burgerville did fact have them when I was visiting. I wasn't planning on getting anything other than fries, but I got the Parmesan truffle fries and a Tillamook cheeseburger and it was pretty good. It was a little bit salty though. I never go out of my way to go to Burgerville because it is very expensive; at that point I'd rather go to red Robin and get unlimited fries. The staff were incredibly nice at this location when we were visiting they were very helpful very patient and super super nice. The ambience was pretty good too. It was clean inside the restaurant and quiet as well. TLDR it was fast, friendly, expensive and I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but it was a pleasant experience. read more

This is my neighborhood burgerville and in general it's very good!! It is VERY very expensive but that's pretty well known. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is: I've gone here a few times a year for a decade and every single time I have to drive home and warm up the burger because it comes out of the window already cold, cheese usually not melted. If I don't have access to a microwave, I can't go here. I also don't buy fries or other foods from here as they are just served too cold. But if you can get to a microwave, it does taste really good! read more

Let me start off with Customer Service. My cousins and I came in from Cali and we needed to use the restroom. We walked in and noticed a code was needed so we asked for the code for the restroom. The Manager who was working at the register said we couldn't use the restroom unless we bought something. So my cousin asked what was the cheapest thing she ended up buying a vanilla cone and before the transaction went through we asked for the code and he said "when you pay first then you can get the code" while we were in process for paying. The other employee behind him was looking and I looked at her and said "what's the code" and she said the code was "1313". The Manager needs to learn customer service. I understand there are people that take advantage of certain establishments but in this case we just needed a restroom in which he gave us a hard time for no reason. His attitude was horrible from the jump. Again the code for the restroom is "1313" before they change there y'all go. It's never that serious to deny someone a restroom. Been coming here for 30 years. Since the days of barrel of Fries! Over the last year this Burgerville has Jumped the shark. You're Lucky to get a warm burger. If you do the drive through forget it. Upwards 20 min sometimes just to get some milkshakes. The service sucks. Then they want you to tip. Before you get your food. How weird I'm suppose to tip in hopes that I receive good service?? I called in last week when my burger was cold and my fries were missing out of my fish and chips plus the coleslaw was HOT!! I never received a call back. Burgerville is an Oregon classic. It has always been a go to fast food joint and this particular one is right out side of a high school so it probly gets decent business. I ordered a large strawberry milkshake with a classic cheese burger and I have to say the milkshake was phenomenal, a perfect balance between too sweat and to artificial. I'm very pleased with spending a little extra money if I know the food is good. Burgerville accomplishes that. Four stars because I do believe that it is a little spendy for what you get. I had the Best Coast Turkey Burger. The turkey is free range sourced so that's a plus and it also has arugula on it. I can't say enough about arugula. It makes just about any sandwich or salad better. Food that is healthy at a fast-food place is hard to come by. Burgerville has got it dialed. I absolutely love Burgerville and have since I was a child. This location, however, is a joke. First, they can't get the machine to work properly so I can pay--I was on my lunch break. I don't have time for that. Second, a tip? Really? And then wants to call out that I'm not tipping, several times. After all is paid for, I get my food and drink, but no straw. I came here because I was told this was the "In-N-Out" of Oregon, but it was super disappointing... The burgers here are extremely expensive, portions size are small, and the flavors aren't great either.. Literally $$ So... it's more spendy to eat here, but that doesn't matter to me because I'm looking for quality. Now that I'm back in my hometown I will never eat at any other fast food restaurant. The ice cream is real.. Yes, Tillamook ice cream and its amazing! Everything from their fish sandwiches, to the turkey burgers, sweet potatoe fries and everything in between is scrumptious (lol). I've never had a bad experience at any of the locations and my food is consistently fresh and hot. So when it comes to fast food don't cheat yourself, treat yourself and spend a couple extra dollars for a better experience. Horrible service and horrible food! We stopped for a cheese burger for our seven year old son, and upon leaving we realized they put extra spread to the point it was dripping off the burger and our son got spread all over his hands, his lap, and his car seat. Our son didn't take one bite but managed to get spread dripping onto the car and himself. It was so much, it had to have been intentional. It was right before they were closing for the evening so I assume an employee did it to be funny. We called to let the store know but will not return. read more

Did curbside pickup tonight. Order was accurate and brought out within minutes of my arrival. The seasonal Hopyard burger was deeeelicious! The grass fed-grass finished beef is a huge winner. We stopped here on Easter Sunday on our way home from Seattle visiting family. It was rainy, and we just wanting something to fill our stomachs, and get back on the road. I don't care for fast food much, but I do like BV's food. The location was not too close off of our route from the HWY that we were on, and our gps ended up taking us on to the other HWY that we were trying to avoid due to traffic. So I was bummed about that. Being stuck in traffic in the rain was not fun. It looks like it is a fairly newer location that what I have been to before. The other BV's I have visited look aged. This one sits next to a high school so I imagine it gets packed during school hours. There wasn't anything special about the food, or the service on this day. My burger actually looked like it was slopped together kind of side ways. I am usually really happy with most experiences at Burgerville's, and give them 4-5 stars. But nothing stood out for me here. Surprisingly while we were there, it was quite busy inside, and at the drive thru. The main road didn't really look busy, so this is why I was so surprised. It was like people were coming from the woodwork or something. Would I stop again? Maybe if I was in the area. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I can't put this at the top of my list. read more

Question of the decade: How on earth does Burgerville stay in business? I realize they're out to save the planet or whatever, but you have got to be kidding me. This is by far the most I have ever paid for what is absolutely the tiniest burger patty I have ever seen. No, really. Just this comically thin patty with literally all of the juices & flavor pressed out of it between these massive double-sided fryers, smushed between two flavorless wonderbread-like buns, ketchup, and a tablespoon of their house sauce.  My family of three dropped $30 for the blandest fast-food we've ever ordered. I don't care if they are saving baby seals and buying local, this place is pretentiously expensive. The very next night we spent $35 for an incredible sit-down meal for comparison. So it was our first time in Portland, and my boyfriend's friend recommended Burgerville. He said it was Washington and Oregon's version of In-n-Out. We were told everything from Burgerville was from at least 100 miles away, so you know your patties and veggies are fresh. He recommended getting a regular cheeseburger with extra sauce, and OMG I kid you not, I could probably eat 5 of those in one sitting. Tried this place based on reviews as well as it being close to the hotel at which we were staying. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I glanced at the menu and had to do a double take. The prices are high! 8 bucks for a combo meal and another 2+ bucks to upside it? Holy crap! Almost $4 for three onion rings? Gadzooks! Well decided to give it a go. The food came and we dug in. The burger was a bit on the small and plain side although it did taste good. The onion rings were huge and tasted very good. Fries were fewer than I would like for the amount of money we paid. Overall i consider this place a poor value. I really didn't feel like I got good bang for my buck.
