I ordered a Rose City Smash double... and did not see cheese on the menu listing. So I said "throw some cheese on it too!"... and the guy at the counter thought I said NO CHEESE (like I woudl ever say no cheese, lol!). When I got the burger, I let them know about the mistake, and they offered to make me another burger. I said it ok... and ate the burger as it was. Jew just picked up some sandwiches from Sandy O's . I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandi. It came with large chicken tenders on it with bacon, lettuce , pickles, and mayo. The tenders were a little dry, but the sandwich was still very good and filling. My friend ordered the Full Pork Press. It was juicy and full of flavor. I am glad this neighborhood has this restaurant. It's a casual sandwich, burger and salad spot. The parking is really tricky with the entrance and exit on Sandy blvd at the corner of 105th. Once parked you have to walk thru that small lot and turn right on Sandy to find the door. It was filled up around the lunch hour. We got the pastrami sandwich and the Italian. The Italian was really good, it's a chopped sandwich with the best thinly sliced lettuce. The bun was light and went well with the filling. I can't recommend the pastrami, it was too salty and a flavor bomb. I wish it was lightened up somehow. They have pin ball inside and plenty of seating and everyone was really friendly. read more

My partner and I came around 11am and were able to avoid the lunch rush -- it got really crowded around 12 which was a good sign!! The burger was good and I'd definitely come back. The peewee -- 6/10. Wayyy too salty. Would not recommend. Holy smokes burger -- 10/10! This is exactly what I'd want in a brisket burger fusion. We needed to grab something to eat on the way to the airport and this place had good ratings. We walked in were greeted by a very friendly fella. He told us some of the most popular items and we chose 2 of them. I got the Holy Smokes Smash with a single patty, smoked brisket, fries, bbq sauce, lettuce, and shaved onion on a yummy soft bun. The brisket was so good. Tender and juicy making the burger a bit messy. It kind of took over the burger but not in a bad way. If we ever come back I would try the plainer Rose City Smash to try the burger on its own. My fella got the Italian Necktie. Ham, capicola , beef salami, provolone, lettuce, red onion, pepperocini, spicy May and vinaigrette on a really good hoagie roll. Delicious sandwich packed full of good quality ingredients. Great experience here!! Came by after landing in the Portland airport- super quick and easy to get to, only about 8 minutes. We ordered two sandwiches and fries. One serving of fries was more than enough for two people, and they were so good! Very crunchy and flavorful. Both sandwiches were so good, but I definitely preferred the Italian Necktie. My one comment on it is the ease of eating- the sandwich is packed full of food (big plus) but because it's overflowing, there's definitely a lot that falls out, so not the most graceful sandwich to eat. The other one was much easier! Other details: Two public restrooms, and only indoor seating (but a lot of it). Portland is a great place for sandwiches. We've got a lot of options. I happened to be closer to the airport and found this place on Yelp. I ordered the SS Adamant and really enjoyed it. The pickles weren't sweet, which is big for me. The picked onions were perfect and I didn't realize how much tuna sandwiches need pickled onions! We also ordered a side of fries and they were crispy and seasoned perfectly. I ended up only eating half of my sandwich because it was so packed with tuna salad. The last thing we tried was the buttermilk pie, which comes with a side of sour cream. At first we were like "ew, why would sour cream come with this?" But when we tried it, we couldn't believe how it elevated the flavor and even the texture of the pie. The interior is quaint and has an almost western vibe to it. The service was excellent, as well. I would get again, except there's another sandwich that's usually my go to. The Italian Necktie is a solid sandwich, and I'm a repeat orderer of it. It's salty and very onion-y. It's delicious! The Beauty & The Beast is a good roast beef sandwich with a horseradish mayo that really packs a punch. This place is a true gem. From the Food to the pinball machines, this place is my new go to spot when in Portland. The food was spectacular, down to the last bite. Everything was seasoned and balanced well. This is a counter service, so there's no waitress, but you don't even realize it once you take that first bite everything fades away and they're only bliss. We had a Holy Smokes smash which was yummy but we thought it could have used an acidic hit like a pickle or the giardiniera. My favorite might have been High on the Hog. The greens were delicious and a perfect compliment to the flavorful and tender pork. To top it all off, their fries and ranch are also amazing. Crispy and well seasoned fries and *real* ranch. The employees are super friendly and helpful and the dining area has ample well-spaced seating and 2 pinball machines. It's sort of out of the way but it could be on mars and I'd go. The burger is one of the better ones I've had in Portland. Just so perfectly executed. The high on the hog (roast pork) was good but not great. Still you would like it if you like roast pork. I had a bite of the Philly cheese steak which was outrageous. The environment, was clean and nice but the music was a little too loud, add Pinball machines (when they're used) made for not-relaxed, and not a place to bring several people who wanted to visit. You order at the counter, then wait for your name. One lady in my group, didn't hear her name, (after we got ours) so she got up to find out if hers was done, and they have not started her chicken nuggets! The restroom was clean. Just happened to be in the area, and this looked like the best place for lunch; and it did not disappoint. Definitely the nicest looking restaurant around the area. Both my wife and I had their PeeWee, which is essentially a Reuben, and it was fantastic. It was loaded with pastrami and I couldn't tell you what's in their special sauce but it was amazing. I personally could've used more sauerkraut, but I know that it isn't for everybody. Overall a fantastic place for sandwiches. Their fries also have a little cajun seasoning which is definitely a cherry on top. Highly recommend dropping by if you're ever craving a sandwich. read more
