Crème brûlée cookie - Great look but didn't deliver on flavor.
    Liz G.

I tried the Crumbl on Balboa Ave today after having a really great experience at a different location. I saw online that they have weekly cookie flavors and I didn't wanna miss their crème brûlée cookie. To be honest, I didn't like it very much. It was very sweet and I was literally chewing crunchy sugar. A cookie that did not miss...the Stroopwafel cookie! They nailed the thinness of the cookie and the gooey caramel filling!! I also got some old faithful chocolate chip cookies just in case the weekly flavors didn't hit, and of course they were delicious. Service was good- not super friendly but I used the kiosk so there wasn't a ton of opportunity to interact with staff. I was expecting the place to be a little cleaner because at my first Crumbl visit in a different location, it was pristine in there. But the Clairemont location was not as clean. There was a little chocolate smeared on the counter where I picked up my cookies which I thought was a little gross. I still think the experience was pretty good overall - I love the kiosk, some of the cookies, and the super cute packaging.

Overall good location for Crumbl. Better than the Point Loma location for sure. Nice staff. Big parking lot.

CRUMBL @ CLAIREMONT This crumbl was the closest one to me, with a large parking lot, the place was easy to catch. However directions will put you to go behind it, not in front of it. Walking in we did not get greeted nor acknowledged, pretty rude. We proceeded with the online kiosk, that was pretty disgusting of other people's finger prints, I'd hope that the workers atleast wiped it down every other hour or so. We got the 4 pack box, the pink velvet, cookies and cream, brookie, and the tres leches for an extra $1.49. We got it in an instant. The ratio of the cookie and brownie was AWFUL, please take a look at the pic. Moving on, the cookies were so sweet for the week, only one bite for each until I was done. The pink velvet had more frosting ratio than the cookie itself, brookie was decent, cookie and crème was okay as well. The Tres Leches was awful however, kind of had a sour taste to it, I'm not sure how the milk was added but it tasted like a wet sponge. Overall, the total was a whopping $21. It was not worth my opinion at all, overly sugary, horrible staff, and dirty place.

This place had the last Kris Jenner Yellow Cakes left in town! They also had the last of the Kardashian Jenner Cookie Flavors Week cookies. The location is super clean and there was no line! They have VERY nice staff here and they prepare the cookies and cakes PERFECTLY! I ordered on the app and the pickup time was perfect. The staff asked me my name, I confirmed, and then they handed me my Crumbl cookies & cake yumminess! I will keep this location on my faves list! Yesss!!

These cookies are pretty freaking good. I would definitely opt for the mini option as the originals are sooooo massive. Needless to say, they're quite tasty and look super cute. Love to bring a box as a birthday gift instead of testing my self control with an entire box sitting at my house.

Never tried a Crumbl cookie until tonight. I ordered a three pack which ran $over 10 after tip. Ordering was straight to the point with a tablet set up. The store workers then hand you your order shortly after. I thought the cookies were pretty good. Overall a good experience.

Dubai Chocolate Brownie. Very difficult to and very difficult to get, but very easy to enjoy.

I used to be a huge fan of Crumbl until I realized how many calories and sugar were being consumed in one cookie. I do love the idea of new flavors every week and being able to track them through the app, however I feel as though they are being made way too sweet now and the insides feel undercooked. Don't get me wrong, I do have some favorites but the sugar intake is not quite worth it in my opinion. The service and ambiance at all these locations are pretty standard, so no complaints at all in those regards

I heard this week's lineup was one of the best of the year so I made my way to this location. It is very small, so not great for larger groups and overall a bit dirty, but the cookies were great! I would opt for the point loma location if you need more space.

We used to come visit here when we come to San Diego. On this summer day - the restaurant doesn't bave any AC on so it made it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy our desert when it is a bit cooler to sit outside. The other thing that got to me was that the men's restroom was out of service so they did not announce it or anything but the women's bathroom was to be used by both genders but it was crowded so a bit uncomfortable. Service wise we got our deserts and the deserts are still very delicious. We were a larger party and they were able to accommodate and get all of our orders correctly. Noise level was normal and gave us time to sit down and relax our feet. Over all - food was good but things were a bit worn down from a building perspective

It was a warm day but we got there at 5:15pm and the sun was starting to go behind the downtown buildings. Negative: service. It seems if you are a regular, like the two tables near us, they chat it up and talk about how things are. If you aren't a regular, they just quickly come by and say "anything else?" the two times they came by. Im a huge water drinker so the carafe they brought only refilled our cups once. Never got another one until we were done and they came by asking about dessert. They weren't busy by any stretch on a Tuesday evening but apparently the frequent customers either tip really well or they prefer familiar faces. I assume the latter. So, I mean the food itself was great but service was not good. I mean we went when it was slow too and the host was talking it up with a frequent customer also asking about the changes recently to parking in their area nearby.... So, it puts this review as a 3/5.
