I like dessert, I like certain cookies, I once was offered a couple of samples from a Crumbl store opening in Clifton Park Center as I was doing my mall walking about 18 months ago. I didn't find them outrageously exciting, so I never went out of my way to buy some. Upon leaving Fresh Market in Latham today my wife had a craving to try the Crumbl store there. I don't think she had ever tasted a Crumbl cookie. Upon entering we found ourselves in close proximity to a counter displaying the variety of cookies available today. There were also four computer stations where you could place your order and pay. Having chosen credit/debit card as our means of payment we did not notice on the screen whether cash was an option. However, I do recall a notice taped to the table alongside the display cookies stating that no bills larger than $20 would be accepted. The back of the store was wide open to see and it looked clean with large storage units, commercial dough mixers, and multiple ovens and storage units for the finished cookies. There were two employees to answer any questions and fill the orders being placed. It appeared to be a very efficient operation. Once we placed our order we were out with our cookies in about five minutes. Our choices were: Pink Sugar Cookie Brownie Batter Cookie Cinnamon Roll Cookie Peanut Butter Cookie w/ Reese's Pieces We agreed that we liked the cinnamon roll and peanut butter cookies the best of the four. Those two were similar in that they had crisp edges and soft centers. In fact, the centers seemed to look barely cooked yet tasted finished. The flavor of each was exactly what you would expect, and the peanut butter cookie was the less sweet of the two. The brownie and sugar cookies were our least favorite. The sugar cookie was exceptionally sweet with its pink icing. This cookie also had a consistency of cake. It lacked that crisp edge of the two previous cookies and the center was, like the edge, a piece of cake again. The brownie batter cookie was hard around the edges, none of that crispness, just hard crunch. And the center was fully crisped. This might make sense since it had pieces of chocolate in it, and even an attempt of a few seconds in the microwave didn't seem to help much. Overall, many home baked cookies I've had are so much more to my liking. Crumbl cookies are overly sweet for my taste. If I don't want to go through the trouble of making cookies at home I'll stick to Fresh Market's raspberry or almond pillow cookies and Market 32's cranberry nut gourmet cookies. read more

We came here as as family outing late one night and I didn't really know what to expect. They had five or six types of cookies in two sizes (small and large) and sold them individually or buy the box. There were displays up front to look at (which I think were real, as I poked one expecting it to be plastic and it wasn't) as well as electronic display boards and such. We tried four cookies: the classic chocolate chip; a dark chocolate brownie; a caramel cheesecake; and something else that reminded me of the spiced windmill-shaped cookies. Ordering was done through a touch screen, and there wasn't actually any interaction with the staff except watching them bring up a box to the counter to open it and show us to confirm the order was correct. Is that what society has turned into now? Anyway, we brought them home where milk awaited and dug in. They were very good. The chocolate chip reminded me of a soft cookie made with shortening instead of butter, and the chocolate chunks were plentiful but not sharp tasting as in dark chocolate. It was a decent cookie though I prefer crispy chocolate chip cookies. The brownie cookie was spectacular, just like eating a... brownie! I thought that this was the best of the bunch, though at times it was too chocolatey for me. The caramel cheesecake cookie was fine but didn't taste like cheesecake. Instead, the caramel on top tasted buttery like a popcorn ball which isn't a bad thing, but it covered up any of the other flavors. The "Cheesecake" filling part could have been cream cheese, or vanilla frosting, or who knows what. I love popcorn balls but this one wasn't a hit for me. The last one, which had a piece of a spice cookie (I think) on top of it, was my toddler's choice. I can't say why he picked it, but he ate much of it. I tried some the next day and it was fine though I don't really know what it was supposed to be. I really enjoy old fashioned spiced or molasses cookies more than modern chocolate-forward cookies, so it should have resonated more with me than it did. In any event, for about $20 we got to enjoy some of high quality cookies. It was fun, though the ordering experience was almost robotic. That being said, I can make great cookies or brownies for a lot less, and don't mind admitting that I can enjoy subpar cookie-dough-in-a-tube cookies from the supermarket for under $5. As a once in a while date idea this was fun, but it probably won't be anything more than that. read more

This week the pink cookies were one of the cookies of the week and one of our favorites so knew we had to pick up a box. Miss that the signature pink frosted cookies are seldom on the menu now. Our first visit to crumbl was in Phoenix and the east coast just doesn't have it down pat. Cookies were not frosted well and recipe did not seem the same. Kiosks do not always work when using rewards or discounts and do not understand how people in line after us got their cookies and we were the last to receive our cookies. And showing photos of the Crumbl branded water at point of sale, yet giving the public a regular bottle of water after they've paid seems like a reverse "bait and switch" situation. Better than I thought they would be! After reading mixed reviews about how overly sweet and expensive these cookies were I wasn't sure what to expect. My husband bought some for my birthday and I have to say they are pretty good! I definitely liked some flavors better than others. My two favorite were a cinnamon flavored one that tasted like a breakfast treat and a strawberry one with delicious real strawberry flavor. I'm not sure of the exact flavors because they were a birthday surprise not purchased by me. My least favorite was a sugar cookie with pink icing. That one was just plain and sweet. The chocolate chip, brownie type and another chocolate were all good if not outstanding. All the cookies are the soft type so if you like crunch you're out of luck. As far as the cost, these are special occasion cookies and huge! Not too outrageous compared to a cake or donuts of the same size. read more

I came here with a very high expectation, considering you have to wait in the line for about an hour until you get your cookies. To me is sounded like a worth it experience. But honestly, it really wasn't. Crumbl Cookie has been a very popular spot in Latham and many people are waiting in line to try it out because, the cookies are huge in portion, freshly made and are supposed to be delicious. However, the waiting in line makes it not worth it. The prices to me are okay, 5 dollars for one big Cookie isn't really reasonable but it's justifiable with the size and how its made on spot by being freshly baked. They only let few people in line and while you're inside after ordering, you have to wait an additional time for them to make the cookies. We picked a 6 Cookie box which included the Milk Chocolate Cookies, Peanut Butter Munch and Oreo Birthday Cake. Some of the flavors do run out fast so don't always expect everything to be on stock. The Milk Chocolate Cookie was very good and fresh, I'm not a frosting guy but I really liked the frosting in Birthday Cookie. Peanut butter cookie was a bit dry and not appetizing. I keep seeing these cookies all over Instagram so I decided to place an order. I put it through on DoorDash and after waiting around 15 mins someone checked in on me and it seems like that might run on a different system, so the baker then made my cookies. Next time, I would order in store because the line or self service stations seemed to move very quick. The place is very clean and organized. You can watch them cook and prepare. Cookies are hot and fresh (or cold if they're better that way)! They are also HUGE. One cookies is basically 4 cookies. They lasted us nearly a week, and stayed pretty fresh. Had Crumbl Cookies for the second time and they are so good! You walk in and are hit with the smell of fresh baked cookies.... Yumm! You can order with an attendant or at a self kiosk. You pick what you want, pay and then wait till they call your name. They show you your cookies so you can make sure they are up to your satisfaction and then close the box and give it to you. The cookies are cooked perfectly so they have the perfect amount of crunch and softness. They have at least a few different options on hand. The flavors are changed every week so check before going. While every flavor I've had has been so good I was really hoping to get some of the same flavors I got the first visit and they didn't have them my second. Hi, I took my two granddaughters there at 9 AM on Saturday morning. It was a little bit of a line, but it move very quickly. We may have been in line for 15 or 20 minutes and when we got to the door I believe it was the owner of the husband and wife team that was running it anyway And he was more than inviting and cordial and just one of the most pleasant people I've had the opportunity of talking to are waiting in line. The cookies came very quickly we were then we ordered one of each of the six that they had on hand for the day, and they were awesome. My grandkids love them their moms love them they're grandma love them was really nice experience in the rewards of eating. The cookies was even a better experience.
