And ever since I don't work downtown anymore, I needed to search the northwest burbs for the best chocolate cake. There was always this franchise (Portillo's) that served their famous chocolate cakes by the slice. It was moist and really good. And they remained the best one for such a long time since I really couldn't find any worthy competitors around the northwest burbs, until I saw this tiny shop along Waukegan road-Ganache Bakery. I had to go inside and see what they havd to offer. The word Ganache alone was enough for me to seek em out. Lo and behold, they had Chocolate Cake with ganache icing inside! It was soft and moist and melted in your mouth! I was in heaven! Finally, a place I knew would supply me with the best chocolate cake worthy of any grand celebration.
