The three girls working were blatantly talking about us right in front of me, throwing side glances and looking me up and down as if it was an inconvenience just for being there. It was not just uncomfortable--it was downright disrespectful. When I finally got to the counter, the girl who served us was hostile and dismissive. She informed me that they had run out of cookies, but the way she said it was so rude and condescending, it was clear she couldn't care less.
