I normally avoid fried chicken places (can't eat deep fried food) but my in-law recommended this place for their breakfast sandwich; the bulgogi breakfast sandwich. And I'm SO glad wife and I checked it out because that was so delicious! I never thought of having that combination of egg, cheese and bulgogi, but it was genius. I had bought some DevilDog Gochugaru & Ginger sauce from Goodies Gone Wild, added it to my sandwich, and SLAPPED the table hard when I tooka bite of it. 10/10 recommended.

This tiny shop front on the OC board with a little bit of a waiting line. Food is made relatively quick and a bell goes off when something is done. Good signal to listen to. They also give you a number to be heard when it's called. We got the crunch dog & veggie crunch ball. Both were hot and a very crispy texture. The cheese inside the dog was melted and had that cheese pull. Maybe a little dipping on the side would help but very good still. We preferred the veggie crunch ball though because it had many different flavors inside. The sauce was great for dipping but it was a little spicy so be warned.

Yasss I knew they have locations in Philly but when I saw the location on the boardwalk I just had to get some to go (yes I got it for dinner later so I'm sure it's 10x better eating it fresh and hot). I got the large size honey soy garlic popcorn chicken and then beef japchae to go. It took a bit for the order but there were other people waiting around too! The popcorn chicken flavor is amazing. Really hit the spot for my fried chicken craving. The japchae was nice and hot and had great flavors. There was a lot plenty of beef thrown in the noodles. For $32 I got atleast 3 meals which was totally worth it! Next time I'm coming back to try the corn dogs

Clearly a popular spot on the boardwalk! We went during the afternoon on a cold, rainy Wednesday and there was still a line of about 8 people. My only complaint would be the wait. It seemed to take a little bit too long to wait on 4 small items, even after the line in front of us had cleared out. But, I can't complain too much because the food was hot and delicious. I got the crunch dog with hotdog and cheese. They splice alternating chunks of each together. The spicy Mayo was a nice touch on top.

Great alternative to boardwalk pizza, we ordered a honey soy chicken sandwich deluxe with all the fixings, 10 crispy pork dumplings, and 10 piece sweet chili bone in wings (which was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy!) washed it all down with a side of pina colada bubble tea upon recommendations with the friendly staff. great lunch on the go, just watch out for those sneaky gulls!

I had a friend tell me that if I liked Korean fried chicken I had to try this place. It's just a place along the boardwalk to order, no seating but we sat on one of the many benches that line the boardwalk. I ordered 5 wings thinking this wouldn't be enough to fill me up (but it cost almost $11 for just 5 wings). They were pretty big so I appreciated that. The sauce was good, but not as great as what I get at BonChon. A good amount of rice for my side order. I didn't have any cash left so I had to use my card and they added an extra $2 credit card fee so my total for this was about $18.

I'm going to keep this 5 star train running after getting a little bit of everything on the menu delivered. The best part...the twice fried chicken. Got the bites and they were super crispy arguably the item order. Next up were the super crispy dumpling. Deep fried, lots of flavor with a small mildly spicy sweet red dipping sauce. The tacos were massive. A la carte they are about $4.50 each which is expensive but they are stuffed full. Seemed to come on a flour tortilla each with different toppings. The pork and chicken came with shredded lettuce while the tuna came with a sweet chili sauce and julienne cucumber strips. A crunchkin beef ball came with the meal too which was amazing. Spicy creamy siriachi dipping sauce came with it. Order a bulgogi beef cheesesteak a la carte as well to sample everything. Only ate half of it because we were so full from everything else.

What a great surprise finding legit KFC on the boardwalk here in Ocean City NJ I went with a dozen well done bone in wings, half spicy garlic & soy and half spicy chili. The wings were large, cooked perfectly and spicy. The chili were my favorite and have a nice kick to it. The soy were slightly less successful but very good nonetheless. The challenge was eating them on a bench as they are a messy delight. I ordered the pork dumplings and while they were fresh and piping hot they were ok in my opinion... Next time I will try the boneless wings as I would imagine they are easier to eat.... If you are craving KFC hit this spot.

When you're hungrily wandering the Boardwalk looking for something vegetarian and delicious, this takeout place provides a remarkably delicious option. You can choose from various selections, both vegetarian and chicken-loving, to customize your meal. The prices are reasonable and the facility appears to be clean and efficient. We had the Korean Chicken Rice Bowl, Veggie Japchae, Spinach and Kale Dumplings (much more delicious than they sound), and Veggie Crunch Ball. It's a great place when you want to just find a comfy bench on the boardwalk and munch while you watch the waves hit the beach.

We walked by on the boardwalk and I got pulled in by a free sample of their Korean fried chicken. It's obvious that the owner and staff care about quality food - everything I've tried was delicious! I had a rice bowl with chicken, rice, salsa, noodles, etc. I probably skills have finished it if the owner hadn't insisted that I try a sample spicy tuna taco. It was even better than my rice/chicken bowl - out of this world. Prices are more than fair for the quality of food that they offer and probably actually a little low for the boardwalk. They even have a great kids meal that is currently $6 We're here for a week so I'm sure I'll eat here a few more times. This place is a fantastic addition to the boardwalk. I truly hope they make it big here read more

This place is phenomenal. NOMS. Fantastic staff and service, plus finally some good Korean food around AC. We got the medium box. Buffalo popcorn chicken, chicken dumplings, bulgogi sandwiches, fries, and a side of fried rice. The amount of food for the price is amazing (I couldn't breathe after eating all of it!). You definitely want to try this place, although make sure you hit the gym after! read more

We tried this place yesterday and we are very happy with our experience! It's great to have some more variety in boardwalk food. We tried the medium box with the spicy honey soy popcorn chicken, chicken dumplings, spicy tuna tacos, and fries. We definitely got our money's worth of food! Everything was delicious, with the popcorn chicken being a highlight. The staff was also suoer friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend Crunchick'n to anyone looking for delicious Korean food in the area. read more

I got the honey soy spicy KFC. It was crunchy but it was no where near spicy whatsoever but extremely sweet. I was disappointed because I love spicy KFC. The sauce was also very sticky. I'm use to KFC where there's less sauce and the crunch is extreme. They were average and I would go there again if I passed by but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here even though Korean is my favorite and there's no other spots around. The dumplings were good- flavorful, juicy and crunchy. The beef Japchae was decent. The bubble tea is not recommended. It was expensive for the cup size and it's all powder tasting, probably one of the worst I've tried. Green tea Matcha did not taste like matcha but a fake version of it. Staff was friendly but you have to wait a long time for your food (15 minutes or longer) which I wasn't use to since it's on a boardwalk. read more

Terrific food and fast delivery. Chicken wings were crispy with perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Dumplings were tender and flavorful. Spicy tuna and chicken bowls were big and packed with meat and great veggies. Would definitely recommend! read more

Delicious stop on the boardwalk. We didn't want a sit down place (although they do have bar stools if you want to catch a break) but we didn't want your typical "hotdog/pizza" pier junk. They had lots of options on the menu, including vegetarian options! We didn't get one of these, but we saw a lot of people walking around with a cup, that has a lid that doubles as a bowl like plate filled with yummy chicken bites! So you just need one hand to walk around and drink and eat at the same time. Cute idea and we will probably try it next time. We got a mahi mahi taco, it was so good! A man outside was passing out samples, and the flavors were so good we thought we had to give it a try. We were glad we did! Careful walking around when there are seagulls tho! They are quite the chicken bite thieves! read more

Delicious... doesn't get better than this. I have had Bon Chon chicken in New Jersey, Virginia, and Philadelphia and this one holds it's own. Try the soy garlic and spicy soy garlic. Won't disappoint. read more

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! Lets start off with the food, I went in with some people and ordered the spinach and kale dumplings and the beef dumplings and the fried chicken. Hands down the best dumplings and chicken i have ever had. The honey soy chicken in particular delivered a nice crunch and the sauce on top was a major W. the service was great, the cashier was very friendly. And last but not least everything was very affordable! So its easy on the wallet $ i will 100% come back again read more

I love Crunchik'n!!! Today I ordered the popcorn chicken and fries with a drink (a large "beach pop") and got the chicken in the sweet chili sauce. The chicken was nice and crispy, and the sauce has great flavor. I think it is so innovative to have the food and drink all in one so you can hold it in one hand! I think the food is also a good value, and the people who work there are so nice. And, their bubble tea is great as well! read more

This establishment serves Korean Fusion cuisine. We ordered the honey soy garlic wings which I am very familiar (and selective) with. We also ordered the bulgogi cheesesteak and spicy tuna rice bowl. -The bulgogi cheesesteak was definitely delicious, but for me was too different to be considered a traditional cheesesteak. -The spicy tuna rice bowl reminded me of poke. It was very fresh and flavorful. The portion size was huge and very satisfying. -Lastly the honey soy garlic wings. I've had these many times in various korean establishments. If done right, these are the best wings EVER. If done wrong though, it's a soggy/greasy mess. Crunchik'n does it right. Perfect flavor and crunch. Coupled with the friendly staff, this place is legit. read more

Worlds tiniest restaurant on the boardwalk. But holy cow is it delicious!! And the employees are so nice and friendly! I got the beef rice bowl. I thought it would be spicer bc it had said it was so I asked the employee who said it's only a little spicy. It wasn't spicy at all! My husband got the wings and kimchi fries and he's in love. Everything we ordered was delicious here. We got popcorn chicken with 2 different sauces, crunch ball, and dumplings because no other food was ready until 12pm and we were hungry. This is the only reason I took one star away. They are advertised to open at 11 but only ready to serve drinks and acai bowls. Maybe we will get to try the other items another time. read more

We have had the spinach and kale dumplings. Even my 8 year old love them. I am not a kale fan at all but I loved them. Returned next day and had chicken, beef and tuna tacos. Outstanding. Fresh ingredients. Fresh taste. Terrific addition to OCNJ. So glad it's here. They also deliver. The Togo box was great for the beach. Owners very friendly. We will tell everyone we can about this place. I rarely do yelp reviews. read more

What can I say? All the expected flavors and texture of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) that we've come to know and love from the usual suspects from Philly and NYC like Bon Chon and Soho. Ultra crispy skin with a fine layer of sauce (soy honey and sweet chili was awesome) - inside super moist meat that puts other "wings" shops to shame. Nice alternative to the usual OC staples. Looking forward to ordering again. read more

A few years ago they were open along 14th street, they used to be so good but, a disaster struck. They were getting "popular" and decided to open one on opposite side of the boardwalk. I am extremely distraught cause I was excited to see all the wonderful employees and drink tea and the chicken. Oh! Got ten wings of each of their two spices flavors wings were delightfully grips and crunchy and full of flavor. Just the right heat for eating lots of wings! Staff was professional. Wings were ready for pickup on time as promised. Ask about a nearby pickup parking spot when you order Location is on boardwalk but they deliver too. read more

I had my fair share of korean fried chicken in Seoul, NYC & north jersey... and their chicken was pretty good. We ordered the 30 wings of honey soy spicy & 30 wings of sweet chili for my big family. Almost everyone liked the honey soy spicy over the sweet chili ... IMO it had more flavor and a little kick to the sauce. I'm only giving it 4 stars because for me, the pelicana chicken in fort lee still beats theirs but nonetheless it was still very tasty and on top of that they were VERY friendly! I was very excited to come across Korean fried chicken in ocean city! Must try! read more

All day everyday. Popcorn chicken, tacos, dumplings, give me all the dumplings. Pork/chicken/beef, it doesn't matter. It's all delicious. To top it off, the service is outstanding for being so busy. Never change crunch, never change. read more

Stumbled upon this place as they were handing out free samples. Have since eaten here twice and loved everything we ate. Rice bowls, dumplings, steak sandwich. All good. Its pretty much takeout only but you won't be disappointed. read more

Absolutely outstanding. Always fresh ingredients prepared exquisitely. As an admitted food snob from Boston, I cannot recommend this superb family owned restaurant highly enough. The quality is far and above anything else you will find on the boardwalk and has instantly become a top destination (Close behind Mack and Manco, which is an entirely different animal). I've almost 50 years of Ocean City boardwalk eating experience and this place definitely sets a new standard. Don't be fooled by the inferior copycat establishments popping up a few blocks away. And keep an eye out for their upcoming Philadelphia location! read more

Can I just say, OMG! Probably not the healthiest choice, BUT, some things are just worth the calories! And these wings and popcorn chicken are finger licking good! Wjat was upsetting is that we noticed they are now adding hidden costs to your meal. I had a steak sandwich with onions and peppers. They charged me $2 for onions and $2 for peppers, adding an extra $4 for the meal. The added cost was not indicated on the menu, nor did the server disclose it. Another person changed out their two slices of standard toast for a slice of whole grain. That was a $1 added charge. Visitors should check their bills closesly since Varsity Inn seems to now want to add a charge for any little thing. The following night, I had a hamburger at another restaurant, and there was not an added charge for onion. Looks like we'll go elsewhere so we don't get hit with added, hidden charges.

Prices were on the higher side, but the amount of food made it feel worth it. My brother said this was the first time in awhile that he couldn't finish a meal. Make sure to make a reservation if you're coming with a group, and note that they close at 8 PM, so plan accordingly. Overall, a flavorful and memorable experience with very generous servings. Server was great. Even offered to take a picture of all of us.

All I can tell you is this is by far the best baguette I have ever had in America or Europe: wonderful sourdough, perfectly texture crust covered with lightly toasted sesame seeds, and a moist soft chewy interior that is pure bliss. Buy this baguette! I promise you that it will be a memorable experience!P! And the 10 bucks? I have to be totally honest: I have since dreamed about this baguette and wouldn't hesitate to go back tomorrow for another one, it was so worth it!
