The thing is when I want take out chinese food and my go to general tso chicken is not good then I really do not want to get this place again. The food was not good and there are plenty of other places with better food AND cheaper. The lo mein was drowned in so much sauce it had to be poured out to eat. The chicken was not flavorful and the meat in general was not of good quality. It is an easy place to avoid in the future. read more

All white meat generals chicken enormous pieces of chicken. Chef Alan hits the spot every time. Wish they had indoor seating opened read more

The Mongolian beef was the best & spiciest I've ever had. I always ask for it to be extra spicy & it's never hot enough. I will definitely be back a lot this summer since it's my favorite dish! read more

Not sure if new owners or just went bad. We had 2 lunch combos today and chicken was so tough and stringy and pork was just bad. Went right in trash can . Last time going back here. read more

New to area. Excellent general chicken and wings were delicious. Enjoyed free delivery too.

It's been over 30 years since we became customers here, a place that rivals any Chinatown restaurant anywhere, and knowing it's in Marmora, N.J., was a godsend. * Unfortunately, the quality and quantity of the food served have been declining in recent years. I completely understand how the quantity could decrease due to rising prices, but there are no excuses for the quality to change. I ordered Orange Chicken just the other day, and if I hadn't been starving, I would have thrown it away. A total abomination of a dish that I like very much. What was supposed to feature bite-sized pieces of crispy chicken coated in an orange-flavored sauce turned out to be a platter of gigantic chicken pieces that required a knife and some pressure to cut. The chicken was not crispy and was soaked in a sauce that lacked flavor, let alone a hint of orange, hence the name Orange Chicken. Even though I've been aware of the lack of good food served here in the past few years, I gave it a chance, and last night's dinner was our last. read more

Well, I'll start off by saying I've never ever seen all white meat used in General Tso's chicken, and I'll end with, I've never ever seen all white meat General Tso's Chicken. Let me add, did I mention they use all white meat in their General Tso's Chicken? read more

Excellent Chinese. Got take out 7/9, vert efficient taking order and was ready on time. Shrimp, chicken and pork dishes were well prepared and portions were very good. Fried dumplings, sauteed broccoli and wonton and hot/sour soups were also perfect. They also have a nice eat in area if you are on the go. read more

Fantastic food - quality ingredients, everything is good- it's hard to find better Chinese restaurant

Place has gone downhill. Food so~so. There are plenty of other establishments that are better

The customer service was great, the delivery was fast and the food was delicious. Would definitely order again.

Chef Alan has the best! Certainly best Chinese food in the County and beyond Accurate ordering, tasty fresh, and first rate preparation. Not yet ever disappointed. I look forward to seeing Chef Alan and his staff on every visit and the tasty meal that soon follows! read more

We chose this option when our standards Fai's in Ocean View was too busy. We ordered the standards General Tsos, chicken and broccoli , spring rolls, hot and sour soup , and scallion pancakes. We opted for the white meat option for the generals chicken. It just seems right to me . The meal didn't disappoint . It is a drive for us to go there however they do deliver to sea isle which is over 15 miles. That's impressive but we opted to pick up. Overall recommend for standard Chinese food store itself meh, but appeared clean. read more

Chinese pizza was uneatable. They forgot the white rice for the sweet & sour chicken. Lo Mein was OK. General Tso chicken was ok. I am surprised that they had such a high rating. read more

Been a customer for over 20hrs. I love the lunch day special& the portions. The dinner price is great and the quality is amazing

They charged a $5 delivery fee that's not listed on their menu or the website. They didn't mention the fee at any point, just added $5 to my bill. Felt dishonest. Food is decent. But might be good to ask if they are adding any unknown/random charges to your bill. read more

Our order is always ready on time. Food is very tasty. They have a large selection to choose from and we are always satisfied. Thank you for being of service to our community. read more

Good, fresh Chinese food. Very good, friendly service. For now, Take Out ONLY. Right off route 9. Easy access! read more

Great local Chinese place. Eat in or take out. Food is good and service is usually fast.

So sad that, what was once an outstanding establishment for food, employees, and atmosphere has taken a terrible turn these last two years. The food is mealy and tasteless, rubbery chicken, soggy General Tsaos. Noooo. The dining room is now a storage room, so it's take out only. We are broken-hearted at the loss of our go-to family place. read more

Excellent Chinese food! Delicious wonton soup and lo mein was great! Close to ocean city and will return next year!

The food here, from what I've tasted, is very similar to pretty much any other Chinese takeout place just more expensive. The General Tso's dinner (usually a dinner comes with white rice but considerably more of the chicken) was a small white rice container and one of the small circular containers most other Chinese places give as a lunch special. There really wasn't much food to it and it was $15. Also, the chicken tasted old and the rice was undercooked and hard inside. You can get way more chicken at pretty much any other Chinese takeout for cheaper. At first, I thought they had made a mistake and given me the lunch sized order but at this point, and having come from Ocean City, I don't feel like arguing with someone who doesn't care anyway. So I'll just remember next time that their prices are out of control. read more

Great food! Large menu with tons of options. Delivery was on time. Everything was great.

Good food everytime. General Tso's is actually 80% chicken and 20% breading, the opposite of most chinese restaurants. Only downside is Friday and Saturday evening wait times in-season. Because they are good! read more

Pretty solid Chinese food. The honey chicken. Is different and really delish. We have ordered sesame, w broccoli stuff, and more and it's always fresh and very flavorful. read more

Awesome Chinese food! We ordered sesame chicken it's was fresh good meat with the perfect amount of breading. Only wish the pieces were a little smaller but that just personal preference. We also got veggie lo mein which was full of fresh crisp veggies. The steak fried rice was also fresh and delicious. Overall I'll be going back, it's hard to find a good Chinese restaurant and this is it! read more

Love the food and love the people ...great combination blessed to have a place so close to home.

The fish located in the front lobby are way to big for its designated tank. The water is murky, cold, no light. It was incredibly disheartening to see the large coy have barely enough room to turn around, and repeatedly bang into the tank. read more

We get take out from here pretty often and it's consistently excellent. It's the best Chinese I've ever had. The sauces are thick and flavorful, the rices are moist, and the meats are always cooked perfectly. The only downside is they have ruined all other Chinese restaurants for me!!! read more

Really fast delivery and super yummy food. Huge portions and not overpriced. My go to Chinese delivery option.

Fresh, tasty Chinese food. This is one of the few Chinese places where I like eating inside. Usually I just get takeout from other places. They have very good service and there are always at least 2 other parties inside so you don't feel awkward for being the only table in the whole restaurant! They give you a decent amount of food, especially with the "combo" platters. It's nothing really to write home about but it's a safe bet. read more

When I am in the Marmora area if it is lunch time, Island Shore is always my go-to restaurant. Chef Allen, the owner/chef is extremely nice and is there to accommodate. The place has a lot of creative specials that you can't normally find at other Chinese restaurants. Their Chinese specials are inexpensive with good sized portions, on the list of lunch specials the chef gives you alot of " General Tso's", that are quite different such as salmon, tofu, eggplant, and fresh pork. The lunch specials come with soup, a spring roll and either fried rice, brown rice or white rice. A lot of places charge extra for brown rice, they don't. If you want a soda instead of soup, (mei wen ti) in Chinese = no problem, you want an egg roll instead of a spring roll mei wen ti . Like I said Chef Allen is here to please. Just a note, if you like General Tso's sauce, and if you don't care for it to much on the sweet side, let your server know, the chef will prepare it to your liking. Bathrooms are clean and there is a very nice aquarium (which could use a little bit of windex)! There is also an 18% gratuity automatically tacked on for 10 or more patrons. read more
