Ok, so, I have ordered here a number of times over the last 11 years and, honestly, the food is meh. Today my wife ordered the sweet and sour chicken took one bite and tossed it all in the trash. Greasy, chewy mess. What a disappointment. The egg rolls, also very greasy. So, never again and don't recommend it to anyone. Oh, and it was estimated to be delivered at 6:18. Received a response with pick up time and after waiting an hour past promised time and watching many customers who placed orders well after mine...pick up there food. Several minutes later, the owner's son flew out of the kitchen like a bat out of hell, and demanded ( instead of asked) what was wrong with the food. He never asked if she would like anything else. What a nice surprise! There's not many options for the Chinese food we were craving while in Ocean City so we took a chance on Szechwan Garden. We ordered three meals and every one was delicious, well-packed, reasonably priced, and extremely fresh. I love this kind of Asian family scene with the little girl doing her homework at the table and the delivery scooter being charged up in the front. The Owners son Johnny is a nightmare. Apparently a lot of others can say the same. He gave my family and I the most terrible and rude experience by yelling and demanding reasons as to why the food was nasty. He then refused to take it off the bill because "it's his daddy's small business". Then insulted my mother and the member in our party that found the food as foul as it is. Only thing I'd say is to make the inside more presentable. The food was good though so had it had better presentation I would give it 5 . I've only eaten there once, and again it was tasty ! We are visiting my dad from California and decided to pickup dinner from this place tonight August 1 2021. I ordered chicken chow mein, but when we got home what I had was a cabbage SALAD, no noodles. We were also missing the fried rice that we paid extra for. Called them and they offered to deliver the fried rice but refused to bring me chow mein noodle because she said she told me it was cabbage. Now- I was under the impression that cabbage was mixed in with chow mein noodle.... chow mein IS A NOODLE. Who orders chow mein for a cabbage salad with no noodle? This just doesn't make sense to me. My family was craving Chinese food and we were on our way to Cherry Hill before we stumbled upon this place luckily. My parents got the seafood noodle soup and were quite satisfied. I ordered the Lucky Family with rice, which included lobster (half of a tail), chicken, bbq pork, beef, scallops and a mix of veggies. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and an eggrolll and was extremely happy to taste it all. The fried rice is the best fried rice have had since my favorite Chinese restaurant changed hands several years ago. I've been searching for good shrimp fried rice and I found it. You can tell the egg rolls are hand made and very good. They are a little smaller in size than most eggrolls but it makes up in taste. I ordered the Singapore Chou Mei Fun and asked for no shrimp but extra vegetables. Exactly as ordered with a fresh assortment of sautéed vegetables.
